Upon opening the packaging we were both taken aback by the striking aesthetic of the bottle. All gold with a very cool emblem, this cologne was already a show stopper without even testing the product. After a quick spray my husband went to work studying the scent and how the cologne responded with him. After initially spraying, he found the scent to be quite pungent with notes of spice and citrus, but after settling into his skin and warming up, the scent transformed with deep, woody, earthy layers. Definitely not “Intense”

* I did get this tiny vial from here in return of my fair review/feedback *To start off, I just want to say that I got just 1 sample vial in a tiny USPS plastic packaging so can’t comment on the actual bottle packaging and experience.The stars are purely indicative of my experience with the fragrance. According to Rabanne, the notes are mandarin, cedar wood, and sandalwood. When I tried the scent, I only smelled the 2 woods because they overpower the mandarin scent very very easily. The only mandarin note I could smell is slight sweetness if you sniff for too long. There’s practically no citrus or fruity hints.This did last all day but I definitely sprayed a LOT more than any other non “Intense” scents. I would rather go for Ralph’s Club EDT by Ralph Lauren instead which is about $30 cheaper for the same size but is definitely much stronger and longer lasting. If that doesn’t sound right then just think of EDP priced at $100 and it’ll definitely be stronger than this Million Gold EDP Intense.The only reason for 3 stars is because it’s good smell wise but not great. Value overall is definitely not the positive as stated above already

I will agree with other reviews that this is a very very strong scent. But I love strong scents as long as I love them, which in this case I do. I’m not great at describing fragrance but I would say this is very sexy and masculine… I don’t find it musky (but maybe my idea of musky is off. I think of that as pungent and old smelling and I think this is quite young) Anyways, I think my favourite quality in this cologne is the staying power. It’s lovely and distinct and really lasts. I love it on my husband, and it leaves a hint of it lingering after he leaves. He drove my car over the weekend and every so often I catch a subtle hint of it while driving and it’s just wonderful.
