Olympea Perfume by Paco Rabanne, Launched in August 2015 and created with athletic spirit as its inspiration, Olympea is a feminine, floral scent. The perfume was created by perfumers Anne Flipo and Loc Dong who based its concept on a Greek goddess. The top notes of this fragrance include mandarin and ginger lily blended with water jasmine to give the opening an aquatic touch. Salty vanilla accords make up the heart of the scent before giving way to the base, which consists of a warm blend of ambergris, cashmere and sandalwood. This fragrance comes in a sleek, circular bottle in an elegant shade of pink. Paco Rabanne is a fashion company based in France founded by a Spanish-born designer Francisco Rabaneda Cuervo in 1966. After fleeing Spain during the Spanish Civil War, Cuervo grew up in Paris where he began his career as a jewelry designer. He then moved into designing clothing, becoming famous for his eclectic creations.

I absolutely LOVEEE olympea! I'm so depressed they discontinued this gorgeous scent! this scent use to be my winter scent now I bought black opium for when this runs out...but this scent is really beautiful! vanilla, jasmine, sandlewood, white flowers type of scent. it's soft, and comforting, you feel so feminine wearing this and just comfortable in your own skin! the lotion is amazing as well and smells just like the parfume! I get many compliments while wearing this! it's a gem FS.

The Olympea perfume is still being talked about and I like the original quite a bit, but don’t own it (yet). I found a sample of the Intense flanker in my fragrance horde, and it’s ok. I do like it, it’s exactly the type of perfume I wore years ago. Strong Amber base, with some vanilla …and toss in some salt too? Sounds good to me. I love salt in my perfume, but with this one it doesn’t tickle my fancy like the original. Maybe it’s bc there’s also a hint of pepper and some citrus going on. Wood too. But as it dries down and some time wearing, I mostly smell the amber, vanilla and woodiness. Occasionally I’ll catch a whiff of the salt and any florals in it, (I can’t quite identify them)but otherwise if you like not too cloying gourmands w/ syrupy sweet amber and ... MoreThe Olympea perfume is still being talked about and I like the original quite a bit, but don’t own it (yet). But know (as in the original) there is salt in this scent, which can turn some ppl off quickly. It really depends on your nose and chemistry. I think it’s a good scent for a date night or whenever you want to be noticed. A few spritzes are all you need, it projects well, and is *very long lasting. I enjoy it, but would probably buy the original over this one.

Of all the Paco Rabanne scents, this is my absolute favourite! It's beautiful, simple and worth the money. This has top notes of orange peel, orange blossom and mandarins, followed by middle notes of tiare flower, solar notes, white flowers and oakmoss. Ylang-ylang and benzoin come through at the very end. Despite what it may look like, I was surprised that this had more of a powdery floral scent, with a hint of musk, rather than anything fruity or citrusy. This smells like a warm Summer night on my skin - full of promise, slightly sexy, and a little exciting.

Beautiful all-year-round fragrance!
5 June 2022

I have been really impressed by this beautiful fresh and feminine scent. Equal parts citrus, floral and woody, I love the hint of vanilla that lingers on the skin after it has warmed up for a few hours. I wore this during the day to work, as well as out in the evenings to dinners - in my opinion, it's a great all rounder. I sometimes find floral fragrances too sweet, but this is wonderfully balance with the citrus and woody notes. I did find it had dissipated on my skin by the end of the day, so I just carried the small sample with me in my handbag to top up if I was going out after work. I was kindly gifted this to try, however would definitely recommend if you love Paco Robane and are looking to try something new!

Bold and unique

If you're looking for something bold and truely unique, this is definitely worth a try.The Olympea series is my favorite set of perfumes. I have 4: Original, Intense, Aqua, and the limited edition Onyx. Intense is my favorite and the first I smelled. The DNA is very consistent across the range, so if you love you'll probably like the others. This original is the most floral from those mentioned with ginger flower, Jasmine and green mandarin at the top. I can't pick those out personally, as it's such a well rounded blend. The heart of this perfume is it's salty sweet, musky, vanilla, the dry down softens into an elegant lovely sweet vanilla cashmere. But after some research and an imaginative description by a YT review, where she recalled her childhood by the sea and paired that with vanilla and flowers on a hot day, it clicked.I don't like Paco Rabannes other fragrances. The lady million series does nothing for me, and i dont like XS, but this truely unique Olympēa collection is a masterpiece to my nose and my signature.

Delicious scent
31 May 2022

Paco Rabanne Olympea is a beautifully feminine fragrance for grown-ups. Warm but not overpoweringly spicy, fresh but not sickly sweet, this starts off quite citrus-fruity and dries down to a flavourful finish. Think an aromatic warm winter cocktail garnished with orange, vanilla and a dash of salt. Long-wearing and sits well on my skin, changing as it warms up with no powdery pong. Interesting that a lot of reviews think of it as a summer fragrance, for me it’s definitely more of a winter vibe. Packaging is pretty, with a strong feminine feel. I was kindly gifted a sample for trial and review and I can see myself reaching for it as a daily wear – would definitely purchase.

Great perfume and great shopping experience.
9 January 2023

Absolutely love this perfume and was really disappointed when I couldn't find it anymore in any of the usual retailers. A quick google search for stockists and Perfume Direct came up. I was worried about ordering as there are some quite negative reviews about orders not being delivered and poor communication but my Olympea Aqua arrived quickly, no issues at all with ordering or being able to track the order once is was dispatched. As for the perfume itself it is a lovely variation on the original Olympea and I was so pleased to be able to get it. I'll definitely use Perfume Direct again. The perfume also came in all its original packaging and sealed etc, as some reviews implied the website may not be legit!

The folks over at Paco Rabanne have done a great job of keeping the brand relevant with the youth market, but have not shown much interest, so far, with the notyouth market, which of course includes me, and partly explains why the lack of interest is pretty much mutual. I did review Black XS For Her way back in 2007 but I skipped Lady Million altogether. Kevin, however, gamely reviewed Invictus ugly, he said, and I wholeheartedly concur, so here I go1with Olympa, the fragrance for the modern day Cleopatra. As is so often the case with these big designer launches, it took a team of big name perfumers Loc Dong, Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion to put it together. Its advertised as a fresh oriental and as a a unique fusion between a sensual salted vanilla accord and refreshing floral notes,2 and thats all reasonably accurate. Olympa starts with a very juicy, very green citrus overlaid with a decent lashing of ginger. It announces its fresh orientation right out of the gate, with vague allusions to Glade and LEau dIssey, but its otherwise a nice enough start. It sweetens up as the top notes fade, with candied but watery floral notes and then creamy vanilla over a woody musk with salty solar undertones. It has a summery, almostbeachy feel neither caramel popcorn nor coconut are listed in the notes, but there are faint strains of either or both, and theres just enough powder to lend a velvety finish to the far dry down. Verdict Its just fine. Its reasonably wearable and reasonably pleasant if applied in moderation despite the fresh and watery notes, it is not really a sheer scent. Not surprisingly, I found it both too sweet and too synthetically fresh for my taste, and in general, it called up modern youth on spring break more than Cleopatra. Still, not bad, and a far cry better than Invictus. If you want something along the same lines, but maybe a little more sophisticated, you might try Calvin Klein Reveal. If you want more fruit and less fresh, you might try Thierry Mugler Womanity. Paco Rabanne Olympa is available in 30, 50 and 80 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching body products. I think there was originally an Extrait as well, but perhaps it is already sold out The notes include mandarin, ginger lily, aquatic accord, jasmine, vanilla, cashmere wood, sandalwood and ambergris.

A little salty, a little sweet without going into candysweet territory...almost like I wasnt wearing anythingGorgeous bottle, but the cap is flimsy compared to the rest of the bottle, so be carefulIf you love the BBW Vanilla Sugar but want something a little more grownup aka you dont want to smell like the candy aisle with more than just a blast of sweet sugar, youll love this. Otherwise, steer clear. My current fave is the Chloe EDP... its my ideal scent, and this comes a close second. I wouldve given 5 stars had it been a touch less sweetcaramely and had slightly longer lasting powerAnother scent Id compare it to is the Viktor Rolf Flowerbomb, which I hate but is similar in sillage and lasting power to Olympea. Olympea is also considerably less spicy and floral.

Perfect scent!
7 June 2022

This has become one of my favourite perfumes to use. I use this for everyday where going to work and it usually lasts me the whole day. It's beautifully designed bottle makes it so simple to fit in your purse or bag and is just as attractive as it's scent. I carry this everywhere with me just incase I ever need to top up. This is wonderfully made for those who aren't into the super sweet scented fragrances. The compliments I get from wearing this has been so nice to hear. I was gifted a sample to trial and review which I loved so much that I had to purchase a full sized bottle for myself! Keen to try out the other ranges from Paco Rabanne as well!
