Starts of with a spritzy type of opening, sweet, unique and pleasant. Dries down to a beautiful scent, masculine, sits close to the skin, lasts 4-5 hours minimum, depending on the weather conditions. Spray on clothes and it will remain with you for an easy 7-8 hours. For the price, it is a great scent to have.

The bottle has been updated to look the same as the Pure XS bottles, except with a lighter grey liquid, and silver letters and cap. I’m a fan of the much underrated Pure XS, so I thought I would try the original. The scent itself is a bit plain (no doubt reformulated since it’s release), and Pure XS has little to no similarities. Some people like simple, clean fragrances though, like this one. It’s fresh with a light spiciness, but it simply smells like a good quality aftershave, rather than a good cologne. Hot weather fragrance that lasts for about 2-3 hours, but basically a skin scent after 1 hour. Unless it’s your thing, it’s not worth the full price, especially when Paco Rabanne offers a much better selection of fragrances.

I got a headache every time I wore this, I ended up giving the bottle of this to my brother. It is a beast in terms of projection, it lasts a very long time. Pure XS is an under-rated fragrance. In my opinion, much nicer and classier than so many out there so many wear - perfect case in point being 1 Million, which is really over-rated and a bit sickly. Pure works well as the day or an evening fragrance. Nice bottle and versatile; girls seem to like it too...I hope it doesn't get too successful and everyone ends up wearing it though actually.

I love this bottle so much. The pink ombre, the facetted apple shape, and the golden snake that adorns it evoke a modern take on the temptation in the Garden of Eden. The fragrance... Um, I've smelled worse. The first whiff I had of it in the Duty-Free in Barcelona Airport brought to mind old movie theaters, stale dance clubs. Obviously I chose not to buy it there, but sprayed a little sample on a card and carried it home with me. Still, my love of the bottle eventually convinced me to plonk down the money. This is highly unusual for me since I generally shy away from mass market fragrances aimed at the clubbing crowd but- THE BOTTLE IS SOOOOO PRETTY! I have no doubts that it would be an excellent weapon for inflicting blunt force trauma if held squarely in the palm and brought down on a perp's head.But more about the fragrance itself... What can I say? It fits perfectly with that clubbing/flexing/bottle service/party aesthetic. When I finally got my own bottle from FragranceX, the first spray zoomed me back to my teenage years because it reminded me so much of the first designer fragrance I ever purchased: Jean Paul Gaultier (now called "Jean Paul Gaultier Classique", which makes me feel very old). Indeed, they both have orange blossom, ylang-ylang, vanilla, sandalwood, and musk in common. Despite having fewer listed notes, however, I find Pure XS for Her to be the more sophisticated fragrance since it is less fruity than JPG Classique. Long story short, it's not an office fragrance (unless one is the office floozy) but definitely something that could finish off the outfit that gets the velvet rope lifted for you. Although I usually choose darker, niche fragrances and really only bought it for the bottle, I do wear this on days when I feel playful, plan to go to the movies, or feel an urge to spoil myself like a mid-20s sugar baby.

It didn't take Paco Rabanne long to put out a slightly updated version of this and it really shows as this is extremely love hate. The normal Black XS for example was a 6 year gap to make L'Exces. Either way this is one of the longest lasting colognes on the market right now I've tried. It's obnoxiously strong almost musk cologne strong. I could do 2-3 sprays of anything designer and go about my day, This I'm not even exaggerating I can do one spray and go 12+ hours and still smell it. Even after owning it for a year so my nose has gotten used to it. It's a pretty bottle but obnoxiously large compared to other 100ml bottles to the point it stands out like a sore thumb. Though not as bad as the black and blue bottle with the blue star people think is good.This is one I'd try before buying and actually spray it on your skin if possible. It's a dark scent similar to black xs, lots of vanilla and ginger. it's complex and hard to describe. I was expecting more of a mens body wash out of this one similar to something easily googled called "marine" or "phoenix" in a black bottle made by the body wash company with 3 letters. Either way I'm disappointed with this and wish shoppers drug mart had testers. I would have bought something else.
