Palmer's, Coconut Oil Lip Balm, SPF 15, 2 Pack, 0.8 G

Every time I used this I immediately was taken to summertime because of the coconut fragrance. I loved using this to prep my lips while I was doing the rest of my makeup. You can find this at many drugstores for a great price. I think this worked best for me in the winter when my lips were driest but felt more appropriate for summer due to the smell and feel. It is pretty greasy on the lips because of the coconut oil. I didn't mind as it helped soften my lips more. More than likely will get more of this at some point.

Biggest pet peeve I have is when I have is to apply a lip balm/oil every 10 minutes. Now dont get me wrong, I want something moisturizing that soaks into my lips, but it shouldnt have to reapply that often... Maybe it's a "ME" thing? I have been on the hunt buying and trying every SPF lip balm I find since last summer. THIS IS IT. Normally I dont use caps when I write a review but I need that extra pizazz! Speaking of the SPF, this doesn't have a awful taste either. Its a lip product so its extremely hard to not have tried it and tasted it a couple times lol. This is a must have and it is soooo affordable! I keep one in my purse, my coat pocket(s) and my car... I have stocked up because I like it that much and I know I will get use out of it. 1 thing you dont want to do is sunburn your lips! SPF is so important so don't forget the lips.

Coconut Oil Lip Balm

I have always loved this lip balm until recently. I noticed that the ingredients have been changed. It used to be Octinoxate 7.5% & Oxybenzone 4.5% for the active ingredients. It worked great & tasted great. Now the active ingredient is Zinc Oxide 11%. Yuck! Tastes horrible and doesn't work like it used to, it needs to be reapplied more often to get any results. Why did it get changed? I am very disappointed since I've been using your product for many years and now I will not purchase it again. If you would change it back to the way it was before I will reconsider. From reading other reviews it seems there are many others that are not liking this new formula either. Too bad. Your loss of profit, our loss of nice, soft & tasty lips.

Excellent!

Excellent coconut scent. I use it daily 2 to 3 times a day. It keeps the lips moisturized up to 3 hours. It also has SPF so it protects from the sun rays. The size is great for carrying out wherever. Great package. If you have dry lips then this your mate. Great lip balm of great benefits.

Feels nice on the lips

Delivery by Local Post Plus took 16 days to SE Europe. The item came as described.I'll be using this lip balm daily. I bought it primarily because it has a SPF 15 protection, and it provides my lips with moisture. I'm also glad it's made without parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, dyes, and gluten. And I love the oval shape of the stick!I tried the product after I tried the E.L.F. lip exfoliating stick. This balm leaves a soft feel on the lips, and I usually love whatever it's made with coconut, but I would love it if this balm wouldn't leave an aftertaste after accidentally licking my lips while having the balm on, since the taste is similar to accidentally getting some perfume in my mouth. It’s a hard no from me

This product left me with a rash all over my face. I used it before I went to bed and my lips AND face are covered in itchy, burning, and tingly hives. The spf used is oxybenzone. Oxybenzone as an “8″ or “high hazard” according to several health website that palmers won’t let me mention in this review. This chemical gets into the skin, gets into the bloodstream. It can trigger allergic reactions and health harms including health conditions they won’t let me mention. Do not use this product. I’ve seen too many people complain about this product and even other lip balms by planners. They need to recall this item and all other items like it. Planets is trying to say I’m using profanity language to prevent me from posting this review.

Now with Zinc Oxide 11% (with the white cap).

I have been using Palmer's wonderful Coconut Oil Formula (with the brown cap) for a couple of years now. Recently, I stocked up with several more tubes. However, to my surprise, I found that Zinc Oxide 11% has been added which makes my lips white and looks just awful! As long as Palmer's continues to make their Coconut Oil Formula with Zinc Oxide, I will never buy another tube of their product!

This is because this balm has an added aroma. I don't really like products with added aromas. (My fault as I did not read the ingredients carefully before I ordered this balm). I feel that added aroma is completely unnecessary. I like it when products have no added aromas and smell like their ingredients. But it's just me, as I am allergic to a lot of things and I feel like less is better. The other thing is that the shape of the stick is a bit oval. I find it hard to apply and to hold. Terrible, burns the lips

I do not have sensitive skin, I have never had trouble with sunscreens or lip balms ever, but about 2 seconds after I applied this to my lips I felt a burning sensation. I tried to wipe/wash it off but it lingered for about 5 minutes after. I always thought Palmer used the cheapest ingredients and not I am convinced. I checked later on their website and found this was a common complaint. What sort of large company would keep producing lip balm that stings a good portion of its customers? I should have bought EOS spf lip balm instead and will.

very hydrating,sweet coconut, gloss & shine

As described comes in 2 individual tubes, economical last for months.but coconut oil naturally leaves a shiny layer on lips (you can see shine in picture ) but absorbed in few minutes completely and leaves no gloss.This brand lip balms are all excellent , chose as preferred smell, all other tastes are similar and no gloss, except coconut. Hydration is the same but coconut is a bit slower in absorption matter.For coconut lovers the smell is real and sweet.Taste is sweet and i like that its natural and safe.In general i will repurchase, excellent material and quality ,but maybe not coconut smell, i only don’t prefer the gloss .
