I've been using Panasonic Envelop batteries for at least three years now. The original set of 16 that I bought three years ago is still going strong and last a long time per charge. So when I needed more, I chose the same brand again, and these are working great as well. There is a pro version of these batteries with higher capacities, but they die after fewer recharge cycles, so the overall lifespan is lower for many uses. That's why I chose to stay with the original Eneloop.

Reliable batteries
18 February 2022

I've been using Eneloop batteries at work and home for years, with dozens of batteries in service, and they always get the job done.As far as meeting advertised claims:They do indeed hold charge as advertised (never tried for 10 years, but if I charge a batch up they will still be in good shape after sitting around for months).I periodically run batteries through a 3-cycle refresh to confirm they're still healthy, and I have only ever had one battery out of several dozen in heavy use fail after a year or two of use (by fail I mean it was only 60-70% of the original capacity without having gone through a large number of charge cycles). The up to 800mAh is unfortunately the same as other Ni-MH batteries, which is to say probably only accurate if you bleed the ... MoreI've been using Eneloop batteries at work and home for years, with dozens of batteries in service, and they always get the job done.As far as meeting advertised claims:They do indeed hold charge as advertised (never tried for 10 years, but if I charge a batch up they will still be in good shape after sitting around for months).I periodically run batteries through a 3-cycle refresh to confirm they're still healthy, and I have only ever had one battery out of several dozen in heavy use fail after a year or two of use (by fail I mean it was only 60-70% of the original capacity without having gone through a large number of charge cycles). The up to 800mAh is unfortunately the same as other Ni-MH batteries, which is to say probably only accurate if you bleed the battery absolutely dead at a very low discharge rate. On my tester, being drained at 200mA (similar to a moderate-drain application), they clock in at about 730mAh when new, which is about the same 90% of rated I've come to expect. On the plus side, after at least a couple hundred charge cycles, they still measure at essentially the same capacity as when new.

The Battery That You Will Not Need To Replace
16 November 2023

I have tried many rechargeable batteries over many years starting with the old Radio Trash ones that barely held a charge after a few recharges. I must have tried eight or ten or so different brands. I have settled on the Panasonic Eneloops because they hold a charge quite well and can be recharged over and over, without fail. Having many devices these days. I have lots of AAAs and AAs. I also use their adapters to turn into a C or D form factor which works quite well. I highly recommend getting the C and D battery adapters.I have some of these batteries that are at least 6 or 7 years old and they still work well. I only need to replace these when my grandson visits and puts the batteries into his devices and takes them home.

The best AAs for the lowest price!
14 October 2023

Since I started buying Panasonic eneloop batteries, I've not been disappointed. They stay charged for more than a year in most of my devices, but I keep running out of them due to new devices needing them. They are supposed to be rechargeable up to 2100 times, but I've only scratched the surface with about three recharge cycles for each of the four I've used in my power-hungry bluetooth roku remote (two batteries at a time). That one device drains them almost monthly, but nothing else has depleted these batteries low enough to notice even once. Other devices using them are my Roland R26, numerous remotes, a Nichon flash, my old flashlight with four C spacers, and definitely more I'm not remembering right now.

These are literally the best!
17 February 2023

Over the last 10 years I have purchased nearly 100 of these batteries from different sources. They are actually intended for camera flashes. But I started using them for everything because the Duracell's I had been using would often leak and damage my devices. I even use these in cheap items far below their value. There is a bit of a price premium, but after 10 years, I have never had one go bad. I am now using them in my Maglites using a AA size to D adapter. They may well be the highest quality of all rechargeable batteries.

Very Disappointed by these NiMH AAA batteries
9 October 2023

I've have used Panasonic NiMH AAA batteries in my Panasonic cordless phones for years. I usually get 5 to 8 years of battery life for them. I recently (October 2020) purchased twenty of the Panasonic Eneloop NiMH AAA batteries to replace those in our cordless phones. Well, as of yesterday, October 8, 2023, eight (8) of the twenty Eneloop batteries have failed. They have failed to charge suddenly in the Panasonic cordless phones. I've tried to recharge pairs of them in a Watson MX NiMH charger without success. I even had three unused Eneloops on hand which failed to charge after never being used. I will not be purchasing the Eneloop batteries in the future.

awesome Ni-MH AA batteries that really last
17 January 2022

I have used Eneloop batteries years for my speedlights, handsets and now for my TV and sound remotes. These batteries really last for years and can be recharged many times. Unlike alkaline batteries, these never leak, which is one of the reasons I use them in all my remotes. With a few extra rechargeable batteries, I can quickly replace an empty set and recharge them. Eneloop batteries keeps their charge much better than others when stored. Those are the reasons why I only use this brand of AA rechargeable batteries. The charger is also very good and allows single batteries to be charged.
