Panasonic - NN-ST64JWQPQ - 32L Inverter Microwave Oven

It is good to have a new microwave to replace my almost 10 year old unit. The new microwave is clean inside and a little quicker at heating and cooking. The door is easier to open and shut.However there are some disappointing features. 1.There are fewer power levels to select from. 2. I now have to select a power level before entering cooking time even if wanting 1100w. 3. I cannot choose time levels down to single seconds. e.g. A lamington finger stored in the frig needs to heat for 15 secs not 10secs or 20 secs.AND worst of all I have to press the controls much harder to select a cooking time.

A bit of disappointment

Bought it more than a year ago. Still working. But the interior wall already rusting. We bought on the inverter ads but it's not really heating much more evenly than the previous one we had. It's louder than our previous microwave and the sound is less pleasant. Also, every time when it runs, all the Wi-Fi devices within 4 metres would stop working. Wondering whether it's sending off some electronic wave outside the oven. We already felt like returning it after using it for the first time but didn't want to go through the trouble. So unfortunate that we cannot try the microwave in the shop to find out their noise level.

Attractive Looking Microwave

Easy to see inside when using as light is quite bright. Agree with other reviews that having to press Power button to basically select 1100W each time as it won't operate otherwise is a pain. Understandable if I wanted a lower setting but not every time I want to use it. Some of the buttons need to be pressed quite firmly compared to others. I would still recommend this item all the same.

Good Quality, Simple and Reliable.

The Panasonic 32L White Microwave ST64JWQPQ is an excellent microwave oven taking pride of place on my kitchen bench. I bought it to replace my last (very old and reliable) Panasonic microwave oven. For me, the ST64JWQPQ microwave oven complements my other appliances as it has the basic functions which they do not provide. It is easy to operate, spacious and has a smart, “fresh” and modern look. Features I like include the inverter and the "Quick 30 Second" function. My only suggestion for improvement of this microwave would be to the digital display on the operating pad and recommend that the colour and contrast be made so it is easier to see (especially for people who have visual impairments). Good basic microwave

Nick at Good Guys Mile End was very helpful with the purchase. The microwave is good for a basic microwave and the price paid. The beverage feature however did not heat as much as our family members required and so we used manual settings to get the desired temperature. The other feature that my old Panasonic had but this doesn't is time increments of seconds whereas this only increases in 10 second increments. None of these take away from a good microwave for other features that work well and it was a good buy.

Good machine

I purchased this machine to replace my last Panasonic microwave which just died after 20 years of use. A good reason to purchase Panasonic again. This is a sophisticated machine which I do not use to its full capability. I use it for reheating food and drinks, and defrosting. Im elderly and do not have the inclination to learn all its other clever programs. It does exactly what I want it to do now that I have got used to the touch pad. And it is quiet in operation

Great microwave

I’m enjoying my new Panasonic Microwave, I appreciate its power, its 1100watts but I can choose lower power when necessary. My only complaint is that for some settings I need to hit 3 different buttons before the microwave will start, for example if I want 10 seconds I need to hit the Micro Power button then the 10 second button and finally the Cook/Start button. Also the 30 second Quick button requires you to hit the Start button as well. In short one has to hit more buttons to achieve the desired outcome but now that I’m more used to it it’s okay. Otherwise I’m very happy with my purchase.

Great value microwave

Very happy with our new Panasonic microwave. The front clearly labelled panel makes it easy to select the power range (400 to 1100 watts) and time, with a quick 30 second cook button below. The buttons are easy to press and the door release works comfortably, with the added option of a child lock (which is also easy to release if pressed inadvertently). The internal size of the microwave accepts large dinner plates and dishes, giving flexibility with cooking. The lower power range is perfect for gentle defrosting. The high power range is brilliant for cooking and reheating.

Heat Problem

I had nay had this microwave for a week when the heating started to play up. It will not defrost, heat things in the way it should. I have rung Good Guys on numerous occasions and was supposed to get a return call and a replacement. I was told I could still us it and I have because I use it all the time. I have given up calling as am getting know where. I have always had Panasonic microwave and am very very disappointed. When entertaining I never know if this have cooked or not. The outside seems fine and the inside is either not cooked or col.

I prefer the older model of Panasonic controls.

The buttons are more cumbersome and do not allow for second controls, only 10 second blocks. I am a fan of Panasonic because I thought they got it right with the controls on the previous model. The more features make it more cumbersome to use. Usability is what first attracted me to the Toshiba brand. The product is a good product and is long lasting. I would normally recommend it to my friends but the new design on the controls is a retrograde step
