I was gifted the SR-DA182WST 10-cup Rice Cooker in exchange for an honest review on Panasonic’s website. This is an awesome rice cooker. I have made Basmati rice, Jasmine rice and brown rice so far and all done to perfection. The rice was fluffy not soggy or stuck together in clumps. My husband was using a multicooker to make fried rice but now he is using this because of the more superior result. Rice doesn't stick to the bowl and operation is smooth and easy. It deserves 5 stars just for the cooking results but I do wish a recipe book was included and that the cooking pot is dishwasher safe but other than that, very happy with my machine and highly recommend it. Thanks Panasonic!

Before I bought this rice cooker, I didn't know how I was cooking rice. I looked at the appliance in the store, thinking "wow, what a reasonably priced and feature rich rice cooker" that's when I knew I had to buy it. It attracted me like a magnet. I was entranced, enchanted even, and when I got home and made my first batch of rice. Wow. I think I cried at the sight.

Wanting to make memories with the kids on a budget, we put the ingredients in our rice cooker for Thai Pineapple Fried Rice found in the $10 Meals with Chelsea recipe book (author Chelsea Goodwin), and delayed started cooking time. We had a lovely day at the beach and bought a cooked chicken on the way home to add to our dinner. Walking in the door, dinner was freshly cooked for us. We spent no more than $15 for a filling and healthy dinner that included lots of protein, for 4 people. Prep and serving time was only 10 minutes! I was gifted this unit and I've used it (the 10-cup model) about a dozen times for both brown and white rice, and have had great results. The quick cook setting has been great for our busy nights, and i've done a whole meal using the steam basket (dishwashable) with carrots, a whole bream fish, and Asian greens over 3 cups of rice. Fish was steamed perfectly, carrots great, bok choy overcooked but yummy, next time i'll add it in during the keep warm steam as I like it lightly done, plus there was no rice residue on the veggies or fish, i'm really happy.A small amount of water does pool on the edge of the cooker when opening, but the smart design of the lip of the unit means this can't fall into the cooker, and has just evaporated, so well done Panasonic.Lovely ... Inner markings are easy to see, looks good on my benchtop, buttons are nice to press and the beeps are pleasant. I would invest in it if it wasn't a gift.White Rice is soft and fluffy, brown is lovely and tasty, both make a great fried rice if left in the fridge overnight.I managed to get a slight crunchy bottom (intentionally, I like it) crisp when leaving on keep warm for a while, would recommend.Non-stick works beautifully, lovely to clean.I was gifted the SR-DA182WST 10-cup Rice Cooker in exchange for an honest review on Panasonic’s website.
This is the first rice cooker I have owned, and I can guarantee I am never returning to boiling rice on the stovetop. I’m a shift worker and like to have rice to bulk out my meals and this has really helped simplify prep times. The Panasonic 10 cup rice cooker enables you to prep healthy meals quickly. The rice is cooked to fluffy perfection every time. The 10-cup capacity is perfect for our growing family of five and much bigger than some of the other rice cookers available. The first thing I made was Marion Grasby’s garlic prawn rice. It’s as simple as adding the fresh ingredients into the bowl of your rice cooker and closing the rice cooker lid. Then you just use the ‘white rice’ setting and press start. It’s a super simple way to prep a family meal (without all ... The versatility of the cooker is great, with a variety of menu options. I used the auto menu function to make a delicious tomato and basil soup. My super fussy three kids really enjoyed it. I've never personally owned a rice cooker and am absolutely loving the Panasonic 10 cup rice and multi cooker because of the following features:Product wise: Aesthetically the cooker is very elegant looking. It’s light, easy to use with the simple functions that are easy to understand and it can fit anywhere.Food wise: The cooker is so easy to use that my partner who doesn't cook frequently made a delicious curry without needing any of my advice or support. Essentially you can throw your starter ingredients in there as the cooker is heating up, mix a bit and then add the remaining ingredients and leave the cooker to do its thing. This is so convenient because we don’t really need to do much as the cooker is taking care of everything for us.To test how good it really was I even cooked a large pasta type of dish in it and couldn’t believe how much could actually fit without overflowing. I use the cooker as a one pot wonder for large family meals that I can easily feed the entire family for the week or even freeze if needed.I’ve also used the cooker to make rice and it has always turned out delicious, fluffy and soft.Overall the cooker is hands down my favourite appliance because I can put my ingredients or rice in, forget about it and have something warm and ready when the entire family is hungry. I also love how quiet and clean it is.Would highly recommend the 10 cup rice and multi cooker to everyone even if you’re just wanting some delicious rice, steamed food or larger family meals that can be made while you're tending to other things around the house.*I was gifted the SR-DA182 10-cup Rice Cooker in exchange for an honest review on Panasonic’s website.
Amazing rice. The quality of the rice is outstanding. So simple to use and easy to clean. And keeps warm all evening. Fantastic for a busy family who's schedules see us eating at different times through the evening. Rice is there piping hot all night.
I was looking for rice cooker for long time but I wasn’t sure what is the best. There were so many brand of rice cooker cost over $300 to $700 however this rice cooker is good value compared to the other brand and cooks rice perfectly. Not only that there are so many things you can cook from this rice cooker. I highly recommended. I also like the modern design.
I've been using this rice cooker regularly for around 2 weeks now after taking a chance on it with minimal reviews. Overall I'm exceptionally pleased, and glad I chose this one instead of the older and more "full-featured" models. This is a "review to win" review, but is entirely honest. TL;DR: It has a good form factor, looks sleek, and works perfectly as expected, with only very minor gripes. The more simple cooking options are just fine for the average person. I have been primarily cooking jasmine rice, for which the Quick Cook and White Rice options work flawlessly. Cooking 2 cups of jasmine rice on "Quick Cook" took < 20 minutes, and made fantastic rice. Cooking 4 or 5 cups of jasmine rice on "White Rice" took < 40 minutes, and made outstanding rice. I've also ... I've also enjoyed using the steamer for steaming veg at the same time as cooking the rice.I learned that I needed to be slightly more diligent with washing rice before cooking to avoid a crispy buildup of starch in the bowl. The whole system is otherwise very easy to clean, but the circular metal "dish" in the lid is not removable as with other models.Small gripes: It is a fingerprint and dust magnet. I give it a wipe over with a cloth every single use to keep it looking nice. The plastic steamer basket also stained with vegetable colours when I overcooked them a bit. Since the bowl spins freely in the machine, it's sometimes a bit hard to fluff or scoop the rice out while the bowl is hot and in the cooker (a small price for a removable bowl, though).
