I'd say this is one of the best drug store 100% mineral sunscreens you can buy right now. There is 0 white cast on my skin after a couple mines when most others do leave one (full disclosure, I'm very palor). I'm not 100% convinced this would work on all darker skin types, but it does absorb very well so it might be worth a shot! I personally stopped using tinted mineral sunscreens because they're typically too tinted for my skin but that might be another option if you're looking for a mineral spf for darker skin. I've had my PanOxyl AM Oil Control Moisturizer for about two weeks and have been using it daily. In terms of oil control it definitely gets the job done, I have crazy oily combo skin and when I used this it was definitely matte. I love the addition of SPF and I didn't notice any pore clogging at all. Unfortunately though for me it didn't hold up as a moisturizer. It doesn't have a white cast but it has a grainy, thick texture. The biggest drawback for me is that it does not sit under makeup at all. Considering that this is a non-tinted MINERAL sunscreen, the white cast from this is only mild on my light medium skin tone; white cast is present, but definitely not as bad as others. No Casper the ghost for me.As for the claim of it absorbing excess oil, I did not find it to do a great job at that. My face was still shiny at the end of the day.The formula is thick, but surprisingly doesn't take long to be absorbed in, nor does it feel heavy on my skin. This product does not irritate my eyes which is a plus for my sensitive eyes! It's a fuss free formula that I will continue to reach for for the sun protection, even though I dislike the sunscreen scent in this lol. Also, it takes multiple washes to remove this sunscreen, so double cleansing is a must!

This is the ONLY product I have ever found that actually controls/reduces my extremely oily skin. It keeps me matte for almost my entire work day and even after the 9 hours it barely starts coming through. If applied correctly you do not have to use a lot and it won’t leave a write cast on fair to light skin. (Apparently I’ve been putting sunscreen on wrong for over 20 years whoops)To apply, squeeze out around a dime size amount and rub it between your palms/fingers. This warms it up and thins it out so you can apply it in thin layers. Then pat/press the moisturizer into your skin until there is no more white.
