This seller "almost" had me. I should have known better than to pay less than $200 for a bottle of PDM Layton.What this sad excuse of a seller didn't know is that I'm very educated in fragrances, so much that the box alone was a telltale sign that this was a phony product. And if the seller is ignorant to the authenticity of their products (aka they didn't know) needs to do research on this type of thing as fragrances ARE imitated as much as anything else is.Let this be a warning to those who don't know fragrances. Do your research. Educate yourself. If you're going to spend money on something that makes you feel good, you should have what you pay for and experience the product as it's supposed to be enjoyed.

Layton is in my opinion a brand new take into a masculine sweet fragrance. A borderline gourmand but with a fresh bite. A rich apple note with warm cinnamon with vanilla that’s aggressive, yet inviting. The opening does come off a bit like other openings of designer realms such as bergamot based openings but the scent is far from over. 15 minutes after you’ll start to detect the warm cinnamon and creamy sandalwood. I smell some rose in this somewhere in the heart, but not at all off putting. The apple in Layton is with the fragrance basically throughout the life of it. This is an amazing scent. The snobs will tell you this is generic and not even niche. But ask yourself this, when have you ever smelled something like Layton out there? And that’s make a crowd pleasing niche fragrance. Exclusif to my nose is wonderful but I prefer the sweetness of the original. If you’re into a woody or darker fragrance choose exclusif. I get 9+ hours on my skin with 5 hours of projection and a very nice complement getter 9.5/10 this is my favorite offering from the house

I don’t understand how everyone male or female is completely blown away by Layton. The older batches are much better, in every category. Yet again, perfumery’s dumb, biased, conflict of interest regulation standards ruining another popular fragrance. The new batches after the formula changed from 78% to 82% didn’t have the god awful cherry/fruity robitussin cough syrup smell. $400+ for this should be a felony. That being said, layering the new batches with YSL La Nuit de L’homme or LNDL’h Bleu Electrique and now we’re talking about something that goes from average to above average and doesn’t smell so medicinal anymore. You can buy so many better niche fragrances than this one for the price point. It’s worth $175 max for 125ml.

I was very eager to try this one as it frequently is mentioned as one of the best in their line. Unfortunately, while the initial it smell was fantastic and on paper was everything I hoped for with the vanilla, spice, apple - it just wasn’t for me once it got to the dry down. This was one of the first times I made the mistake of jumping into a frag after the initial spray. Feel in love with the opening but no matter what situation I tried it in, it inevitably would just gave me a migraine. The performance is absolutely there (which attributes to the migraines) but 3-4 hours later, I’d be scrubbing this one off. I was hoping it was just the bottle I had but confirmed when I went back and tried it out with the display tester. Final Verdict: Parfums de Marly is probably my most favorite niche house. They use quality ingredients and have unique scents across a wide range. Layton has a smooth opening and a comfortable finish. It's longevity is beast mode (over 9 hrs) and can fill a room for some time during its opening stage (mod. Sillage in opening) Projection is just strong enough to garner some positive attention in moderate range. Versatility, again, is excellent. So, only drawback, yep, price. Yeah, this one's a little pricey and can easily be outside of the Joe Average budget. Thank goodness for deals and coupons! I recommend trying a decant first while saving up the cash to get a full bottle. They also come in 75ml if the big one is too much! Ok. Ladies and gentlemen- this is one of my favorite and best, sexy perfume for men! Layton is a luxury brand- I have many perfumes from this brand. First of all the Scent - is very unique and gorgeous! The top note are: Lavender, Bergamot and Apple. It’s a floral and oriental fragrance, which is very addictive. This perfume is very elegant! The bottle looks very luxury. This perfume is made in France. The packaging, boxing and the bottle are so beautiful !!! It’s not that cheap, but it worths buying it!!!

FAKE FRAGrANCEs, DON’T BUY

I am an avid collector and have an ample selection of fragrances and I gave DKmart the chance to surprise me… THEY DID, but NEGATIVELY. the fragrances themselves are completely FAKE, although a close match to the original (the bottle and packaging only). make sure you look for the following things:-PDM’s horses have NO EYEBALLS! this one does-The lettering for “1947” and the bottom of the bottle POP OUT way more rhan the original bottle.-The color of the bottle is VERY CLOSE but not the same at allI am currently working on a return but I have NO IDEA if they’re gonna give me my money back. I bought LAYTON and HALTANE. I pray I get my money back, seriously.

Great fragrance

Expensive but worth it. arguably the best from parfums de marly. this cologne is a very complex scent that is decadent from first spray to the dry down. massive compliment getter (the ladies love it). the longevity is 10 hours + on my skin. projection is several feet. this stuff will get you noticed. it’s the best smelling cologne out there in my opinion (and i’ve become quite the cologne aficionado). spend the money and pick this up, you won’t be disappointed.

so far its incredible. it works so well with my natural body. other brands like clavin klein and burberry don't seem to stay on me very long but this fragrance oil is top tier for being an impression.
