First let me say I love the smooth , polished look this fleece has on the outside while still being super cozy and warm ! It is a more fitted sweater than most casual fleece and looks good on a small , lean person ! Very flattering for someone like me , it might not work for a thicker person or someone who likes a roomy fit unless they size up ! I will order another in a brighter blue as I would love to have a collection of theses ! I also adore the half zip design as again it tends to work well with an over jacket or coat without being bulky ! Truly great quality , well finished with knit edging ! Really love theses year after year ! Thank you ! Don't change a thing ( except maybe more colors ) !

Love it. Very warm, breathable, roomy - great look with the textured fleece. The neck fits just right - some fleece jackets are too tight, but not this one. One quibble: the pouch is lined with a flimsy t-shirt thin poly material - not exactly cozy and feels kind of unpleasant. It should be lined with similar, thick fleece material as the rest of the pullover for comfort. Also, suggestion: next year, can you ditch the two tone look for the "natural" color? Just *100%* natural and not a contrast blue or contrast anything would be excellent. That way it goes with everything and is easier on the eyes.

I’m 153cm tall, quite petite. I ordered a small and it fits just right. The length covers half my back side (keep in mind that it isn’t baggy looking) and the sleeves sit just past my wrists. It isn’t a hugging fit on me (since I didn’t want it to be), I can still wear a small hoodie underneath due to the material of the sweater being slightly stretchy- although, a large size would be more ideal if you want to wear fleece hoodies/jumpers underneath (speaking to my fellow petites out there). That’s what I’ll order next time just so I can layer more. Overall, the quality is really nice, not heavy weighted and it’s easy to move around. Not itchy either. I’d say if you’re unsure of sizing, go a size up just because I feel like it runs a little small, but then again ... MoreI’m 153cm tall, quite petite. I ordered a small and it fits just right. I would definitely want to get a larger size so I have an option if I want to wear a bigger jacket looking fit, while also having a choice of an average fit

I love the Better Sweater line. I have been purchasing and wearing them since the earliest iterations. I still own and wear three pieces from 2011. For being over 10 years old, I haven't had too much of an issue with pilling, relatively minor. The fit of these quarter zip fleeces are a slim fit so they do fit closer to the body. Many folks say this line runs small, which I agree with somewhat. I am 5'8" and a size 12-14 and pretty busty on top and wear the XL in Better Sweater products. I generally wear a short sleeved capilene top underneath with no issue. I do think the newest iterations run a bit more narrow in the shoulders and arms and the body of the fleece feels a bit longer than my 10+ year old Better Sweaters. This is a casual fleece and that's how I wear ... MoreI love the Better Sweater line. I have been purchasing and wearing them since the earliest iterations. This is a casual fleece and that's how I wear it. I find it too heavy for technical use (skiing, backpacking, etc) I prefer the Micro D or R1 line for technical purposes. All around great casual fleece in beautiful colors.
Love this sooo much, ordered the abalone blue in Large, which I didn't know was being discontinued. I buy something every black friday, but this beautiful color, seems to be going away? Also, where did the gorgeous hazy purple color go? Would love a mid grey as well, like the mens stonewash and nickel, cooler/jewel color tones, rather than the browns/green, look better on some of us.As for fit, it is a slim fit, but for me only in the arms. I ordered a large, I am a size 10/12, but even in just a tank top, it was sooooo tight in the arms. It is long enough, mid section was fine, but doesn't allow for much movement and doesn't have much stretch, so I super reluctantly returned the Large, so sad. Of course, XL is always out of stock, because everyone is sizing up? ... MoreLove this sooo much, ordered the abalone blue in Large, which I didn't know was being discontinued. Love better sweater! Wish the hoodie version had more colors too. Thank you!
I don't understand all of the complaints about sizing. Unless you are looking for a super relaxed style fit (which wouldn't be as warm) or normally buy from companies that inflate their sizes, this is absolutely true to size and the size chart. I think the sleeves are a good length as well. This sweater is super comfortable, warm. I got the "birch white" and it is true to the color on the website. This item will be a new cold weather staple for me. If you prefer a more relaxed fit try Columbia or LL Bean who make similar products with roomier cuts. I like the full zip version of this better than the T-zip which I also have. On my T-zip, the sleeves are too short and on this one they are just right. The fit is great and the jacket is long enough in the torso and the sleeves for me. Win! Nice and warm and breaks the wind just enough while boating and fishing. I purchased the navy which seems to be a good neutral. However that’s where the love affair ends. This jacket is pilling after three short wears. The underside of the arms are a mess! The sides and front of the pocket aren’t much better. I’m very disappointed in the quality of this garment and for the price you certainly wouldn’t expect that. And Patagonia should strive to do better. Let’s not just talk about reducing waste, let’s make a quality that lasts. One of the care instructions suggested turning the garment inside out to reduce friction….. really? Are we supposed to wear garment inside out? Is it ... MoreThe fit is great and the jacket is long enough in the torso and the sleeves for me. Win! Nice and warm and breaks the wind just enough while boating and fishing. Don’t spend your money on this very overpriced garment.
First let me say Patagonia customer service is hands down the best I have ever dealt with. There was a shipping error with my repair and a new jacket was sent to me to replace my old one that was lost in transit. I am happy to have the new jacket but there have been changes in the quality and not for the better. The jacket still fits nicely and the inner fleece is soft. However, the zipper pulls are not as heavy duty. The outside material is also not nearly as soft. I will be transparent and say my older better sweaters are over 10 years old and really do not show much wear. However, they probably were not made with as many recycled products. I am happy to know the jackets are made by a greener process now but wish it wasn't at the cost of comfort. I bought this sweater jacket because it is the trendy jacket to wear around the hospital and I have been looking for a warm, middle weight jacket that I can wear indoors and outdoors. This jacket does not disappoint! Since it arrived, I have worn it almost every day. It is great for outdoor wear around town during the Northeast fall, but is streamlined enough that I can throw a shell over top of it if needed, and yet is un-jacket-ish enough that I can keep wearing it indoors like I would a sweater. I love the blue color, the pocket placement, and the trim over the cuffs. The zipper on the collar does not rub, like some fleeces tend to do. I do not plan to wear it for hiking, since I prefer a traditional fleece for that to avoid snags, but it is fantastic to wear ... MoreI bought this sweater jacket because it is the trendy jacket to wear around the hospital and I have been looking for a warm, middle weight jacket that I can wear indoors and outdoors. I'm a huge Better Sweater fan. I have three that I have worn for years, Two are medium and one is a large. I tried for a new one this year but found the sizing inconsistent. The mediums that I tried were much too small, even though my older mediums are a perfect fit. I tried a large on in a store and it was a good fit so I ordered one online but the arms were too tight and I had to return it. I ended up getting one from the store and for some reason I cant wear it all day like I can wear my older ones. Im having some kind of irritation/itching after I have it on for a while. Im wondering if the materials in the new ones are different than the older ones? Ive washed it and continue to wear it for short periods because I really like it. If it continues to bother me ... MoreI'm a huge Better Sweater fan. I have three that I have worn for years, Two are medium and one is a large.
