I am devastated that this cleanser has been discontinued yet again. I have been using it for decades as it is the ONLY cleanser I can use on my very sensitive skin. It never dried my skin nor caused any irritation at all. Other cleansers dry out my face and leave it very red and uncomfortable. I have tried the Defense gel to cream, The Calm normal to dry and calm normal to oily all of which dry my skin leaving it red, hot and sensitive and hurting. I will be forced to look elsewhere for a cleanser similar to Hydralight. I just cannot believe that it has been discontinued again. PLEASE bring it back .

I bought this travel set on a whim and I noticed immediate results the moment I used it. I have mild to moderate rosacea and have struggled with redness, small bumps, and at times oily or flaky skin. I have tried French skincare brands, drugstore brands, and even prescriptions with little help. This leaves my skin clean (I double cleanse to remove makeup) but also soft and eliminates almost all my redness. I stopped wearing foundation and only use a tinted sunscreen and some concealer for my t zone. I am in awe of this set (I use the cleanser and moisturizer - haven't used the exfoliant yet) and I can't stress enough how it has changed my skin. This is just a miracle.

I have recently bought a bottle of this as I love the Paula’s Choice brand and had high hopes for this. I have to say it hasn’t disappointed! I love the gel to cream consistency which makes your skin feeling very clean and refreshed. It does not have a strong potent smell which I prefer. I am hoping that it will keep my skin feeling clean, help relieve grime and make up and so far so good - it seems to be doing very well!
This cleanser has a dreamy consistency. Of all the PC cleansers, this is the one with the best foam, so if you like that feeling and consistency you'll probably love this. I do. It's a fluffy, light and abundant foam that rinses beautifully and cleans well. However, it is not hydrating. Like the Earth Sourced cleanser it's definitely best for normal to combination and oily skins even though it's labeled All Skin Types. I alternate between many PC cleansers (I have sensitive, normal-dry skin that was breakout prone when I was younger) and this is now in my rotation.
This is the first face wash I decided to get out my "CeraVe face wash comfort zone" for. The first few days using this product was great. My face had never felt so soft! After three weeks of using it almost every day/night, I noticed my skin developed patchy bump areas and dry spots throughout the day. After erasing this product and going back to CeraVe, the problem areas cleared up after a few days. I have combination skin (oily T-zone and dry-ish cheeks and forehead). The dryness and bumpy areas developed on the dry areas of my face, but the product worked well for my oily T-zone. I would say if you have oily skin; this would be great for you. I love many other PC products, but this one was a miss for me.
I bought this cleanser as I wanted a break from my usual balm cleansers. It does a decent job, leaving my skin clean but not tight. It has no scent. The gel itself is quite thick but lathers into a cream quickly. The only negative for me is the packaging as the container is very hard and so squeezing out the product is not easy. You have to give it a really decent push and then too much comes out. I also have sensitive skin and this does not irritate it at all.
I found this just too thin to remove sunscreen, even with a 2nd cleanse. I also found it very slightly irritating to my eyes as compared to baby shampoo, which I use for my eye and lash-line area on advice from my doctor after cataract surgery. It slightly dried my skin out as well, so if this is how it works in the summertime, it definitely would not work for me in drier winter air. Someone with younger, less-dry skin may like this for a 2nd cleanse, or a morning cleanse, but it just didn't work at all for my dry rosacea-prone 68-year-old skin.
Skin is brighter, clearer, smoother. I have sensitive skin and other cleanser products have been slightly irritating, but this is the perfect cleanser. My skin gets more dry in cold weather and this is perfect to use as makes my skin feel more hydrated. Also bonus for removing make up really well. Have repurchased twice and now on my third bottle!
