Pelikan 4001 : Turquoise Ink : 30ml

These are gifts which I chose because this is apparently a faster drying ink and I’m gifting to a left handed writer. Hopefully it will be ok but in general I do like the ink and would recommend it for economical pricing and performance.

The most important thing is the quality of the ink which cannot be easily found elsewhere. I think for lovers of quality it is a very good choice. Ιt seems at first glance an expensive option, but it is worth the money. however in difficult economic conditions I would prefer a lower price. For me it was a transcendence...

Beautiful ink.Agreed, it is orange-red. That being said, with a Pelikan nib (M1000 Medium) writes wonderful.With no water whatsoever in the reservoir and section (that dilutes the ink) and a generous flowing, no "highlighting" color, but very similar to the picture. I like it a lot. I am happy with my purchase.

The secret magic of this ink is that it lightens out towards a beautiful burnt sienna/rusty orange color. The shading between the darkest brown points and the orange points is satisfying.Additionally - this ink seems dry to me. It flows freely, but it certainly feels different.Try this color if you like burnt sienna!

If you can get around the confusion created by naming this "orange" hued ink "red," I believe you'll love this ink--the image on your screen is accurate. It's a rich vibrant color, though, has no bad habits, and works very well for the ordinary writing I do (it may have other uses). A variety of colors and inks with varying features are an important component in the joy of fountain pen. Only storage space limits my collection. Some functions and some writing materials are better served by particular colors. But in general, the Pelikan 4001Brilliant Red immediately became my favorite ink for the times when I am fully at liberty to choose.

A Brilliant Brown

Pelikan isn’t exactly a brand that I think of when I think of inks. Pens, yes. Inks? Not so much. But I saw someone on YouTube raving about this ink so I wanted to try it for myself. I’m certainly glad I picked up a bottle. It’s a warm, mid-shade brown that is nice and smooth to write with. It has just enough shading for variation but not so much that it is difficult to read. I have it in my TWSBI Mini and it’s a combo that I keep reaching for. Some other brown inks I’ve tried, like Diamine Chocolate Brown, easily get picked up by my hand oils even days after laying down the ink, but this one so far has dried decently fast and stayed that way. A definite recommendation from me!

Pelikan 4001 - Brillian Green - Workhorse Fountain Pen Ink for Day-to-Day Use!

I've found that Pelikan 4001 ink of the Black and Blue variety is a quality work horse type ink for day to day use. On trying out the Brilliant Green I was hoping for something of the same quality and it urns out I was not dissapointed. The ink flows well and has a good depth of colour. It doesnt show a lot of sheen or colour change as the ink gets wetter and more is applied in the same place but on the other hand it does provide a stable colour that is the same at all times which for a work horse type ink I thikn is great. One thing I was slightly dissapointed by is that the green colour is not as bright as what images and pictures I saw made it out to be. Having bought a 62.5ml bottle (double the normal size I get for black) I will probably have green pelikan ink left for me to use until I'm old and having trouble holding a pen but I'm sure that during that time I will have no complaints with the ink itself.

Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Black

Definitely brilliant! Stands out brightly, not the least bit ashy. More intense than Waterman Intense Black, plus with a glossy touch.Used in a Pelikan pen and that's the match. I find that using European inks in European pens, and Japanese inks in Japanese pens, is the best method of flow control.
