Holden Rodeo's specify 5W-30 engine oil for the gearbox and transfer case. This Penrite Gearbox Oil is specifically recommended for gearboxes that are meant to use engine oil. I feel alot better about using gearbox oil in my gearbox than engine oil. I had previously used 75W-90, and the gearbox was very sluggish and heavy when warm. Since switching to this oil, it has made a considerable difference to the performance of the gearbox. It also provides piece of mind knowing there is gearbox oil in my hearbox, not engine oil.

Oil was fine but ridiculous trying to get into the box using the bottle and spouts provided. May the manufacturer needs the change their bottle design or you guys suggest buying a cheap oil pump.
Top quality oil. Improved gearshift immensely. No more hard shifting into 3rd gear with my Honda Civic.
Packaging of this product needs improvement to all easier use and less waste
Used in my 06 Holden Rodeo diesel 4x4 manual gearbox with excellent results.Feels much smoother than before which I had the 5W-30 engine grade oil in it which the Penrite website reccomends as preferred' not sure why as the 75W-80 Gear Oil makes gearshift feel much smoother to me.My only gripe is not available in a a 4L container, had to buy the 2.5L + 1L.
my oil came with a rubbish screw on filler spout that kept coming off and causing oil spills. previously i used the nulon bag with a strong plastic tube. no leaks and done in half the time
great oil to use in manual gearboxes that generally used auto trans fluid with additives. eg borgewarner t5 or tremec t5.
