I do wish that some aspects could be toggled like level of NPCs, and the like. Video cutscenes can have lag ton low end devices unless set up to lower resolutions beforehand. More modern PCs should have less issues, as there are still some cases of problems on PCs with good specifications.

Pretty good RPG. There are a lot of tutorials this game throws at you that there were some features I didn't even know about until after I finished the game. The combat is not the most intuitive it can be, but it's still a lot of fun. I didn't look up anything and instead discovered all the weaknesses the monsters have on my own and I recommend everyone do the same because it's really fun figuring it out on your own. It took me 100 hours to beat the game but it always felt fresh because I always felt I was getting better at it. The game also has amazing animation done by production IG which looks super professional and movie quality. It's used all over the game and I love it. Everything else about the game though, is serviceable but not great. The social links are very formulaic and so is the story (there's a lot of overlap). There are several lines that will make you groan and a lot of anime-isms I personally find very obnoxious, like characters pointing out things that are really obvious or having flashbacks to things that happened 15 minutes earlier. It's not offensively bad, but it did not connect with me at all.

Check out Game Banana for Reloaded II for details on how to get started start. There's a ton of fun to have on this game and the fun never stops for the Phantom Thieves. Well... Sorta.

I loved this game. When I started playing it, I didn't play anything else until it was finished. I enjoyed learning about the characters, learning the combat mechanics and cool combos, and I enjoyed reaching the end. Persona 5 has a way of drawing you in and making you invested in the characters and the story, I loved that. This game is also very long and full of content, I ended up at about 80 hours on my first playthrough. Even though the game runs by a time system, there is still enough time to experience the things you want and it is not punishing, or at least I didn't find it so. I highly recommend this game and it is one of my new favorites, making me a fan of the persona series as a whole.

I rarely buy my games at first days of release especially for single player games, but being a persona fan, this is one of the exception I will make. Have been waiting to play this game since it was out on console.I've spend about 20 hours in this game so far, and here what it feels to me:pro :- its persona : you still have the life sim and dungeon crawl.- it comes with Japanese dub : nothing against english dub actor/actress, but I'm just used to having Japanese dub and would hate it otherwise.- there is now fast travel between checkpoint of the dungeon- save anywhere as long as you're not in dungeon/citscenecon :- I'm not a big fan of stealthy game, and the theme of this game you're a "phantom thief" so ....- even after playing this many hours, I feel ... MoreI rarely buy my games at first days of release especially for single player games, but being a persona fan, this is one of the exception I will make. I generally don't care about game soundtrack, but persona 4 battle theme was the best I've ever heard, and I've played alot of game (especially JRPG).- the dungeon feels .. long ...Overall I would still recommend this game, and I still enjoy this game just because it scratch the itch I have of persona game. However, unfortunately I did not enjoy it as much as persona 4 .

I'm Her Hero Now.

I purchased this video game for my god daughter. She is absolutely engrossed by the storyline. She is at the age where everything is cool one day and lame the next. That is OK, she is at an age where children are discovering who they are. It is important to find games that show children they are not alone, that everyone goes through these changes. She loves Japanese Anime and is swiftly approaching High School age. This game is about everything she loves. Hanging out with friends. A strong sense of justice, and what is right and what is wrong. Simply put, she loves it! Thank you so much for bringing this video game to my attention. I've been her hero for nearly two weeks. She absolutely loves to tell me everything about it. My godson is easy, he gets a lot of attention and loves the typical things 10 year olds love. Pokémon, Zelda, and Harry Potter. She is much more reserved and shopping for her has become rather difficult over the years. This was a home run. I couldn't have done better if I could read her mind itself. Thank you so much!

Lovely game(disappointing legacy service)

As someone who has played both the original persona 5 and persona 5 royal on PS4, this game is just as good as I remembered. With the new silky smooth frame rate and sharpened visuals, alongside the entire pantheon of dlc, this is the definitive way to play the game on consoles. I do, however, have one complaint. The PS5 version of the game doesn't let you transfer your save files from your PS4 version of the game, meaning you are forced to start from a completely new save. Any new game plus profile you have progress in is unable to transfer, meaning you have to start from scratch. This was devastating for me to discover, and a little frustrating since the only differences between this version and the ps4 version is higher frame rates and crisper visuals. They are the exact same game. It should not be a arduous task to set up a way for PS4 persona 5 royal files to be converted to PS5 persona 5 royal files. That is the only reason this version of the game is not getting 5 stars from me.

One of the Best JRPGs Gets Completed and Portable
8 December 2022

Persona 5 and its successor, Royal, were a treat to play on PS4. Recently, the game branched out to PS5, Switch, PC, etc. The changes herein is DLC. You're getting all of the paid DLC that PS4 owners paid for, and they continue to pay for, included for free with these non-PS4 variations. Switch gets portability out of it. And because this was on sale for an amazing price, I took advantage of getting it for Switch. The game plays well on Switch. Performance-wise it is reasonable on Switch. Everything still looks good. All of the DLC is included, as I said. Overall, I'd recommend it.

Persona 5 Royal on Switch says it all
13 November 2022

I’ve already played P5 both in its original version and Royal version on the PS4. Needless to say, I loved the game — the Royal version infinitely more with all of its quality of life upgrades, amazing new characters, and the additional 3rd semester storyline. The only thing that was missing was the ability to play this on a handheld system…This is easily one of the best JRPGs I’ve ever played with an endearing cast of characters, social sim bonding, slice of life moments, epic story, snappy and strategic combat, varied dungeons, and stellar jazz-inspired soundtrack. And now it’s available with all the DLC complete on the cartridge, no additional patches or downloads required, on the Switch where we can play it portable. Couldn’t ask for more!

Purchased the original P5 game on the PS3 and beat it, logging in 120+ hours. Loved it. Got P5R on the PS4 and now I got it on the Switch. By far, the Switch is the most accessible way to play the game. With the added content since the original P5 game, this game will clock in well over the 120 hours. Surprisingly, this game runs really well on Nintendo's handheld consol. Now, as a product from Best Buy, the product was shipped one day earlier than expected, which is very nice. (Note: this is the standard version of the game, so you won't be getting the day one steel book. Other than that, the in-game contents are all the same, with the previous DLC already included on the game cartridge.)
