I spent months researching the different generations and thinking about buying AirPods before committing and buying these. They are quite simply amazing, the fit is good and sound quality superb. I am using them whilst running and they stay snuggly in place with no annoying cable flapping about and making a noise on my clothes. I have run in all weathers with them and had no problems. They hold their charge brilliantly for longer runs and recharge in the case quickly. I also wear them to listen to the radio on my commute and connectivity is excellent and sound blocks almost all background noise out.If you hold the case near your phone and swipe you can see how much charge your pods and case have left which is amazing and oh so useful.Strongly recommend them and ... I have two pairs of 2nd gens and the sound seemed a little off so thought maybe it was time for an upgrade. I went with this newer version but was unfortunately very disappointed! They are slightly larger and really hurt my ears and the bass is just a bit too much, tried adjusting but it seems like only tone can be adjusted- maybe I’m missing something? On my third day of using them the volume went haywire and blasted my ear (phone was not in my hand m, it happened when I placed up to my ear and did again even when trying to turn volume down) After a few attempts I put them away and went back to my og’s! Wish I just bought the old version. What a bummer!

I already have good quality over ear headphones but they aren't ideal for running or very portable when getting the train somewhere for the day etc. These AirPods solve those issues. Sweatproof, waterproof, lightweight, good battery life, excellent sound quality, easy to charge and the case itself easily fits in a pocket. There's a little button on the right ear that you can press to skip/pause music/take calls. It can also read out messages.Connects seamlessly to your phone as soon as you put the headphones in.Great value for the quality you get. I've had them for a few months but wish i'd got them sooner.

I’ve thought about AirPods for a while but resisted them, partly thinking my over ear headphones offer better sound quality, but I saw these 3rd generation AirPods here at a good price and basically talked myself into it! Must say, my other phones do offer better sound quality and they cancel noise, but I don’t care! These are so convenient to use, charge in about 20 minutes, sound good enough AND you can wear them with a hat! Plus, they won’t make the sides of your head sweaty on warmer days! As soon as you put them in the excellent charging case, they’re charging, as soon as you put them in your ears they’re connected and all you have to do is gently but firmly press the button on the stem to play/pause your music. If you’re using them with a modern iPhone, all you have to do is move your phone near them and they come up on your screen as an option. Pull them out of your ear (or just one of them) and the music stops, no need to do anything else. You can charge the case with a Lightning to USB or use the USB-C cable that comes with the AirPods, though you’ll need a compatible plug for that. I know some people have talked about them falling out of their ears, but I can’t say that was a problem for me. They fit me pretty snug, though each person’s ears are different. Can’t say much bad about them!
Bought these from John Lewis in Cheltenham in September 2022. Good service from JL, as usual, but after six months these AirPods have proved to be disappointing. Sound quality is poor. Speech radio and podcasts are ok but music sounds tinny and distant. One of the AirPods had recently developed a loud hum when operating and the other is so faint it is practically inaudible. Neither of the Pods are secure and frequently fall out, both in the gym and when out walking. They offer poor value for money.
For the first time, I bought these headphones in November 2021 and was very happy because I wanted this particular model. The sound quality, the comfort of wearing in the ears, the design, everything is at the highest level. However, two months later, in January 2022, the speaker in the left earpiece began to make extraneous sounds, after which I had to change the headphones to new ones.I did not drop them, there was no external damage, just a problem suddenly appeared.Four months later, at the end of May, the problem recurred, the left speaker began to fail. I replaced the headphones with new ones the second time and now I've been waiting for the problem to recur in order to change the headphones again :)Maybe I'm the unlucky guy, but I've heard that this ... Thank you for that.
These were way too big for my ears. And they slide out so easily. Imagine being at the top of a stair master and your earbud flies out of your ear and into the lobby of a busy gym. I had to readjust and catch them multiple times throughout my workout and even when I'm being still, they still come out. Had to go to the AirPod Pros which suck for the exact same reason. Apple should've stuck to the design of the 2nd gen model. They were amazing and the only reason I got these was because I lost on and they'd stopped working as good anyway. So even if I just buy another 2nd gen pair, they will eventually mod out just like Apple is known to do when they update their models. I had the version 2 for a long time and loved the fit, very comfortable, no pain, never fell out and even forgot they were in my ear. (I dont get on well with earphones).I was very excited for these updates but noted the change in shape. I bought these on the day of release so i took a gamble. The sound is great, much better bass, clearer mids and the highs well controlled. I was very impressed. They are not isolating earphones so they do let a lot of background noise through and i have struggled to hear when walking near traffic. If walking on quiet roads or the park etc then they are great as it allows you to still be aware of your surroundings. My only gripe is the fit. And this is subjective and personal to me. They are not as comfortable than the previous pair ... I use them with iPhone 12 mini and connection is not 100% having to go into Bluetooth setting. Good but not excellent.
Pros: Great sound.Great fit. Special audio is really amazing to experience with Apple Music.Amazing integration with apple ecosystem. Literally pick up and other device or walk near it and the audio is switched across its quite magical to experience.Cons: The build quality of the case is surprisingly quite cheap feeling. It’s not bad by any means but it does feel incongruous to the experience. The other annoying thing is that the case doesn’t have a w1 chip which means if you leave the headphones behind you don’t get properly notified until your very far away. This feels like a missed opportunity and I’m sure they’re going to release a new pair that has the proper find my chip in it.
I had a pair of Airpod Pros as a birthday present a few years ago. I could never get them to sit comfortably in my ears and I didn't like the silicon buds which are required to give you that tight fit full bass experience. My previous Airpods were superbly comfortable if not quite such a good sound. These 2021 Airpods are superb. Much, much better than the Pros (to my ears) and although a touch bigger than the original Airpods they fit my ears very comfortably and don't fall out. They are not quite as physically secure in my ears as the originals but it's a close run thing and overall they are worth it for the greatly increased sound quality.
