So these suck. Easily the worst design of any Apple product IMO. They barely fit in my ears, and the noise cancelling feature is a total joke. Every word of every conversation happening around me was constantly audible, and forget hearing when the phone reads texts to me because, yeah, couldn't hear those at all with any of the Siri voice options. They also have this weird spatial audio thing where the audio moves with your head position, which did nothing outside of make it feel like I had tinnitus or was listening with half my head dunked underwater. I know that they're designed to diminish the damage of loud noises on your eardrums / because whiny, sensitive people were scared by the volume of haptics and alerts on the original AirPods, but come on. Might as well go without, because anyone speaking at more than a casual mumble will be audible. Utter garbage for the price, and I'm glad someone stole mine out of my car (no, really) so I could justify going back to the Gen 2.

As I already have several Apple devices, I decided to invest in AirPods. I didn't want to spend $250 on pros, so I decided to try out the 3rd generation AirPods. I have to say, I was very disappointed and ended up returning them only 2 days after purchasing. I think the biggest thing for me was the fact that they would not sit comfortably in my ears, no matter what I did. I specifically felt like the left one was prone to falling out, which is unacceptable for headphones that cost $130ish (I got them during a sale). Because they would not sit comfortably in my ears, I felt like the sound quality was not great too. In addition to sound and fit, I was also disappointed that the case for these was not MagSafe/ they couldn't be charged wirelessly. I am attempting to limit the amount of chargers I need for my devices, and this was just another disappointment. I did love some features (finger tapping to answer phone calls, pausing music/ videos when one AirPod is removed from the ear, etc.), this did not make up for the poor design choices. Overall, I was disappointed. Pros: Double-tap feature (to play, skip forward, answer phone calls), interfacing between devices, pausing feature Cons: Poor design causing AirPods to fall out, not a MagSafe case

I bought these as my 2019 Airpods mic stopped working and no one could hear me even though I could hear them perfectly, no good for work calls. They arrive beautifully packaged as per Apple products, the set up was seamless, took less than a minute to connect to my phone. They are a different shape to the older style and slightly bigger; I have tiny ears but luckily they fit well. I chose them over the Airpod Pro as I've used in ear headphones with the buds that you can use to fit different ear sizes and even the smallest ones don't fit properly. I haven't had a problem with these falling out.The sound quality is much improved on my old ones, I like bass! Fiddly to get in and out of the case and I've dropped them a couple of times already :( The case doesn't have ...Ā MoreI bought these as my 2019 Airpods mic stopped working and no one could hear me even though I could hear them perfectly, no good for work calls. They arrive beautifully packaged as per Apple products, the set up was seamless, took less than a minute to connect to my phone. I also don't really like the button to move tracks forward, pause play etc. as it's kind of on the inside of the Airpod stem and I think it's hard to click without knocking it out. I definitely prefer the old way of tapping the Airpod to move a track on.All in all though I'm happy, the were on offer when I bought them, I have working Airpods and the sound is great.

The ear piece is much larger and more oval than the originals. I used the gen 1/2 for many years and I loved them. My gen 1s broke so I was using my husbands gen 2 and I wanted to buy him new ones so I got these but they fall out of his ears when exercising and are not comfortable. His ears are definitely at least average sized. Much bigger than mine. I can barely get these in my ear at all. If I do then I am 100 percent honed into the fact that they are in my ears. The other genās were hardly noticeable. I do appreciate the sleeker design and better sound/battery life (gave the extra star for that) but Iāll be returning these and getting a new pair of gen 2ās. My husband is not an Apple guy. But he loves their wireless headphones the best so it was really disappointing that these were so uncomfortable.*first photo- old on top and new on bottom.*second photo- old on the left and new on the right
These AirPods being Apple work fabulous. I cannot fault that side. However I could not be more disappointed with the fit. They fall out constantly and if I do manage to keep in my ears they ache in the area the odd shaped ends touch my ear canal. I am surprised as Iām not a small person my ear canals are quite big. I went for the ones without silicon as they make my ears sweat. I thought being Apple they would be comfortable but they are painful to wear. The time the battery lasts is great. But more often than not I use my cheap majority ones they are comfortable but donāt have a long battery time. The Apple is also superior in recognising my Apple devices and no conflict where I have two devices where as other brands did not like two devices turned on. My conclusion if you want comfort get something else. If you want reliable battery and using of Apple products consider if you can cope with pain or buy the variant with silicon to fission the ear.
For how I paid for this product I am extremely disappointed with Apple. Iāve used much cheaper earphones with a better experience. I decided to go for these because I thought I would get even better quality.Firstly, the design of the AirPod is too bulky/chunky (the part you insert in the ear) does not sit in my ear properly. It constantly almost falls off. I acknowledge that this might be a āmeā issue, in that my ears arenāt compatible.Secondly, the āpauseā only works when you remove the entire AirPod from your ear, the ātapā is more like a āholdā.Thirdly, the quality of the microphone is very poor and I am extremely dissatisfied with that after paying a couple of thousand rands.Lastly, when Iām on a call, the microphone constantly cuts off/break in the ...Ā MoreFor how I paid for this product I am extremely disappointed with Apple. Also, the battery life is fair.Ultimately, Iām appalled by the quality of this product, especially given the price. If you charge this much, at the very least, bring along the quality.
I recently got my hands on a pair of Apple AirPods, and I can't help but be impressed by these wireless earbuds. They offer a level of convenience and audio quality that has truly transformed my listening experience. The AirPods are incredibly easy to pair with my Apple devices, and they seamlessly switch between my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. While they're comfortable for most activities, they may not be the best choice for high-intensity workouts or running. There's a slight risk of them falling out, which can be frustrating. In conclusion, the Apple AirPods are a remarkable addition to my daily life. They deliver superb audio quality and are incredibly user-friendly, thanks to their seamless integration with Apple devices. The only minor issue I've encountered is the fit, which might not be ideal for intense physical activities. Nonetheless, I highly recommend AirPods to anyone looking for a fantastic wireless earbud experience.
. The audio quality is fantastic, offering crisp and clear sound that enhances my music and podcast listening experience. The design is sleek and comfortable, fitting snugly in my ears for long periods without discomfort. Connectivity with my Apple devices is seamless, making the user experience smooth and hassle-free.However, thereās a notable feature I miss: noise cancellation. Having previously used earbuds with this feature, I definitely feel its absence in noisy environments. While the AirPods Gen 3 do a decent job at passive noise isolation, itās not quite the same as active noise cancellation, which can be a game-changer in loud settings.Despite this, Iām happy with my purchase. The connectivity is swift, and I haven't experienced any significant connectivity issues during my usage. However, it's worth noting that some individuals have reported difficulties hearing me clearly during phone calls. This minor call quality issue has led to occasional frustrations when communicating with others. While it hasn't been a consistent problem, it is something to be aware of.Purchasing refurbished AirPods from Best Buy was a cost-effective choice, allowing me to enjoy the benefits of Apple's renowned audio technology at a more affordable price. The refurbished product was in good condition, and Best Buy's commitment to quality assurance was evident.Overall, I rate the refurbished AirPods 3rd gen a solid 3.75 out of 5. The audio quality, durability, and seamless integration with Apple devices make them a reliable choice for daily use. However, the occasional call quality issue prevents me from giving them a higher rating. If you prioritize audio performance and can tolerate occasional call quality hiccups, these refurbished AirPods could be a worthy investment.Note: Your personal experience may vary, so it's important to consider individual preferences and usage patterns when making a purchasing decision.
