Petkit Auto Max Cat Litter Box N50 2.0 Odour Eliminator 3pk

Great device for our 3 cat family. Great for tracking useage habits and weight. Bin lasts us 2-3 days and can check through the app if the waste bin is detected as full (detects a few cycles before it is at capacity so there is time to empty). Easy to clean barrel. Down side is it didn't come with the cover to "dump" the litter to do a full clean. Seems the app can only be installed on one device at a time, this means only one person can monitor and service/fill/change.

A little finicky to set up, but game-changing

I bought this after undergoing complicated surgery that left me unable to clean my cat's regular litter box. I live in a small apartment with one pretty big cat, and the Pura Max has been a lifesaver. Delivery was super prompt and friendly, and the driver very kindly brought the unit all the way into my bathroom when i explained that i couldn't life heavy objects. Pros: only need to change the litter once a week, the app tracks my cat's weight and habits, I'm using way less litter with this unit, and things are generally tidy. Cons: the unit wasn't cheap, it's quite bulky, so space can be a bit of an issue, and the app can be temperamental. The litter bags are included, but I've experimented with other, cheaper bags and litter tray liners, which all fit and work well, so I likely won't be buying the more expensive Petkit branded litter bags in future. All in all, a good investment if you have the means and you're confident that your cat is adaptable to a new litter system.

I have two 6-month old cats who wherr used to 3 litter boxes. One cat took to using just one Pura Max straight away . The other cat used it happily for a week and then went on strike! I brought back the old box, but then the other cat started using the old box as well. Which was annoying!Also. The difficult cat is the kind of cat the wees in one box and poops in the other!I tried stopping the auto clean, and the deodorizer, but nothing worked.Once I got a second pura max, they both happily use both boxes each day. No issues. For example - use maintenance mode to add litter as the opening tilts up so it’s easier…and always calibrate afterwards! (in the app).But I love the app for the fact that I know what the cats weigh, which is helpful for figuring out food portions for my growing kitties!!!All in all… Haven’t looked back! :)

Best purchase I made

I bought this highly recommended by my rscue team. I am a foster volunteer with a local rescue in Victoria. My! This is definitely the best thing I could do for myself to look after 6 cats in a household. Helps me track who poops. My cats love using this toilet and keeps me free from scooping every day. No smell thanks to the deodoriser and air purifier. It’s in my living room. I would buy another if I could afford another.

Great automated litter box

We have been using the Petkit Pura Max for about a month now. We had a hard time getting it to connect to the app when first setting it up, took about an hour, then it kept saying a cat was in the litter box when it wasn’t. We realised we had to move the box away from the wall and also not place the litter tracking mat under the box. Since then it’s been working great and we are really happy with it. Super quiet, app works well, does a good job of scooping the clumps, once litter is scooped it contains the smell really well. Our cats took to it straight away and love watching it auto clean. Minor problem we are having is one of our cats likes to pee right in the top of one corner where there is less litter, it doesn’t clump so well there and gets stuck sometimes.

The Pura Max Automated Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box is great. My first self cleaning litter box is a Litter-Robot. The litter-robot is noisy compared to the Pura Max. I have it near our bedroom and you would not know that it is going through a cycle. It is quite and you would not know that the cats have been to the toilet.It was a bit of a problem first off. The Pura Max would stop have way through a cycle and say the their is a cat inside of it. I read some forums and one person said to change the weight of your cat on the app. My small cat is only about 2.5 kg so on the app i put him down as 4.5 kg and it works with out a problem. I don’t worry about it now until it is time to empty it.

I love it

I've had the petkit Pura Max for about a year. I love how much easier it has made my life. I have mobility issues and manually cleaning trays was hard. You do need good quality litter. And then it won't smell or leave streaks on the roof of the tray. Waste container seals well.The only thing I don't like about it is that the inside is fairly small and the litter level is quite shallow. My cats would actually prefer their old trays because of that but I don't give them a choice and they're ok.Waste container is a decent size. Was emptying it about once a week for 2 cats until I adopted a new adult cat who has to go very often (he eats a lot too). So now it's more like twice a week for 2 cats. It's a 5 min job so that's fine.

Life changer

Definitely makes life easier and smell better! Works as it should. Cats took to it the first night. Love the app. With 2 cats I have to change the waste every 3 days. Only downside in design is when they do a wet poop the spin action smears it all over the roof of the device so I have to wipe it down which is difficult in a small space.

It took a while for one of my kitties to be OK with it because he freaked out the first time the deodoriser went on. For the scaredy cats, I suggest to turn any smart functions off when you set the machine up, until they’re 100% ok with using the machine. The interior is big enough for my 6kg kitten to turn around and do his business.I never had the Pura X so I can’t compare if this is a better product, however I do find the design for the Max to be bulky (at least with the Pura X, it looks like you can use the top like a table). Room for improvement

I did a lot of research before purchasing this model, and it’s good, but there are a couple of things that could be better.The app is okay, but not the most user friendly. I actually had to read some instructions which usually isn’t necessary.Occasionally I get a whiff of cat faeces, so the sealed container isn’t quite that sealed. Also, the odour removal fragrance spray has a pretty strong scent, and it’s not pleasant.I do appreciate that I don’t have to clean the litter box as often, and both my cats are happy to share it. We’ve not had any ‘accidents’ or what I believe were intentional wees when the previous litter box hadn’t been cleaned immediately after the last use since I bought this.
