The handle of this iron is hard plastic with an edge which protrudes slightly and can become uncomfortable after prolonged use which detracts from it usefulness. This was the iron with least uncomfortable handle. The steam function is easy to control as I prefer to take it off the eco setting and have more steam. Other colour choices rather than purple would be appreciated.

Long lead makes use very easy, large easy filling door, clear water level indication. Good steam control with no drips. Glides over garments very easily and feels like it has a larger sole plate, making ironing faster. Quick heating helps save time and good heat control. Comfortable grip and not too heavy. Could do with a cord clip to make storage easier

We bought an all singing and dancing ironing system at the Ideal Home Exhibition back in 2007. In the past few years it has cost us over £100 per year year in maintenance fees. This year we decided that enough was enough and bought the Philips steam iron based mostly on the good reviews on line. We are very pleased with it - it is light enough not to be a chore to use and the results are excellent. Easy to recommend.

This iron has the perfect constant steam in all angles, its very comfortable to hold, not to heavy. Easy to use - has the clear water section which makes it easy to fill to the right level. Also no driping or sticky to any of my clothes. So far I am very happy with this iron. Overall its a excellent iron.

The large access door for water makes it easy to fill. The tank holds a good quantity of water, so you are not stopping to re-fill too frequently. It’s hard to find a good iron at a reasonable price but do far this has been brilliant. It heats up fast, glides quickly and smoothly and so far the non stick plates really have been that making light work of the big loads of school uniforms! The delicate items on a lower heat have been great too with it being non drip just as promised. Highly recommend this iron for a busy family like mine!
I was overall impressed with my new iron. As a mum that feels like i spend my life ironing it did definitely cut down my time spent. The plates were really really good. Smooth from my first item until what felt like my thousandth item! Swivel cord function a big plus as well. Easy used and comfortable to hold.
My old Philips iron dies after 16 years so naturally I went with another Philips iron and I wasn’t disappointed. The iron is quick to warm up and the steam it produces is amazing. The large plate makes ironing quicker and easier and the extra steam also means you aren’t ironing forever. When ironing my sons School pants I only need to iron it from one side cos the steam goes through and both sides are done. I was amazed and delighted at the same time. I didn’t realise how crap my old iron was until I got this one. I purchased it on sale in December 2021 and it’s affordable compared to some of the other irons out there. My hate for ironing isn’t so bad now as it’s done and dusted in no time.
This steam iron is worth 5 stars. It is very lightweight comparing to irons I had before, has I good capacity to poor ironing liquid in it. One of important features for me - it has a long cable. It also has a good choice of settings, heats up rather quickly. Another thing is it steams really well, there is no need to press the button to produce the steam. Steam is constant. I absolutely enjoyed ironing with this Philips iron, it glides easily on the clothes and ironing becomes a pleasure. Overall it's a very good iron! I couldn't find any improvement points as it works fantastically well! I am very happy with it and would definitely recommend it to my friends.
Really good iron, a lot better than what I currently use. Major benefits of this iron are how quick it irons out major creases, the features on it and ease of use. The length of wire is really good too as it gives me freedom to move around the ironing board. One thing I will say is that it is slightly on the heavy side when filled up. I definitely would recommend this product.
