As much as I like using this airfryer I believe the digital model would be more convenient with it's pre-progammed buttons as far as managing heat temp and times. However, this was won as a prize. The food does turn out delicious and cooks fairly quickly. If you have a large family I'd suggest the XL model as it's basket is larger and you can cook a bigger batch instead of cooking in a few batches. Now my 3 star rating is because cleanup would be easier if the handle were made in a way that would make it easier to take apart. You have to push the button down on the handle to disengage it from the basket and it's nearly impossible as it's so difficult that I've given up and have basically washed it all as one piece as opposed to being able to wash the basket and tray ... Please tell me why it's so difficult to remove the handle?? I'm so disappointed because I'm sure that as much as I wash it this way it's obviously not the proper way. I've had my kids try to separate the parts but nothing. It's as if the handle is stuck and the button isn't engaging whatsoever. At this point I'm debating looking for another model where cleanup isn't such a hassle.

This Phillips Air Fryer is a true all-in-one air fryer. I am so impressed with the fat removal technology. I have air fried steak bites, mozzarella sticks, fish sticks, egg rolls, cut potatoes, fries and burgers. By far, the difference is huge that this air fryer delivers crispy, tender and juicy food without the oily and greasy side. The time to fry food has been cut in more than half, and I can enjoy my favorites in no time at all; frying has never been easier with this air fryer. The fat reducer collects all of the grease, and is an incredible sight to see all of the fat that we don’t have to eat. I’m truly shocked at how well the fried food tastes without all the fat. I have had smaller airfryers in the past that I liked. They are easy and convenient to use. The Philips premium airfryer is a step above the rest. It is an upgrade from the one I was using for sure. I like that the display is digital and that it comes with preset functions. It is compact in size but works great. One of the best features though is the fat removal technology. It allows you to eat guilty pleasures like fried food without the guilt. It cooks food quick and cleans up easily. I love this airfryer.

Quick, fun and delicious - all requirements for this appliance to function as needed odds small kitchen. It helps with the long-term budget of less eating out and controlled food lifestyle. Flavors and moisture remains in all kinds of food. It's an awesome upgrade from the no frills basic unit I had. It's as easy as pie right out of the box. You can fry, bake and grill in just a few small steps. The manual is easy enough to follow and gives basic instruction. The easiest way to cook salmon in my opinion. The basket is the perfume for just 1 or 2 people. Definitely recommend! Get more me time...with less cook time!
Good air fryer. Does the important job of making air-fried cauliflower that's tastier than chips at my place and is great for heating up frozen crumbed fish. Cooks more evenly than a friend's cheaper one, and my last Phillips is nearly 4 years old and still going strong, so I trust the name. It's fancier than my old one that just had dials for temperature and time and no LED display. Honestly, that doesn't matter to the cooking, and I'd guess that the analog dial type is probably less likely to break. Just got this to get something different than the one I'd used since 2016. Honestly, that doesn't matter to the cooking, and I'd guess that the analog dial type is probably less likely to break. Just got this to get something different than the one I'd used since 2016. When choosing an air fryer that is this shape, be aware that regardless of what the controls and outside look like, they all do the same basic thing: blow very hot air on your food for a set time, to cook it. All the Phillips ones do a good job of this, and the different models offer different sizes and different "looks" on the outside, and some may come with extra accessories. This model comes with a second level grill, which is an optional accessory for many of the Phillips air fryers. It lets you cook, say, some roast veg on the bottom level whilst cooking your fish on the top level, or two levels of fish. I haven't used it yet, but definitely will. This air fryer has 1500W power. The higher the wattage, likely the faster the cooking and the better the air circulation. Some of the really cheap no-name ones are 1000W or less. Also, the larger Phillips models have higher wattage than these small ones, as it takes more power to heat a larger frying compartment. This one is still the same original Phillips air fryer size, though, 0.8kg. Fine for a single, might be pushing it for a couple, and a family would benefit from one of the larger ones. Some claim this size fits a whole bag of chips, but I've found that it's easier to do them in two batches if you want them evenly crispy. Subtracting a star for the price, as Phillips is the most expensive line, and for impossibility of fully cleaning it, which is an issue with all air fryers of this type, not just Phillips. What they don't tell you about this style of air fryer is that it's impossible to clean the guts, up inside where the fan is, above the fan blades. Over time a bit of a smell (see: frozen crumbed fish) builds up as spatter gets above the fan blades in the unit. I used mine at least weekly for 3+ years before I started to notice it. Eventually, I decided that enough was enough and bought a new one! Pro tip: Research the accessories available for the different models of Phillips air fryers before picking one, to make sure that the one you buy is compatible with the baking dishes/racks you expect to use in it, and because some models include some accessories, potentially saving you the cost of buying them separately (IF you need them).
I resisted buying an air fryer: too big, nowhere to store it, not suitable to cook the food I like to eat, etc, etc. I think what persuaded me was seeing a friend cook a cake in their air fryer and also all the excellent reviews of this Philips appliance. We use it daily and used it to cook crumbed chicken and chips, roast veggies, gyoza, felafel, and even hard boiled eggs. Easy to use, easy to clean. This appliance is a good size for our family of four but you may want to invest in a larger machine if you’re feeding more people or want to cook more components of a meal at once. The appliance lives on our kitchen bench as we’ve nowhere to store it but the gloss black complements our kitchen design. Recommended.
Amazing product that has exceeded the expectation, this air fryer is the perfect size for 2 people and is great for weight loss, no oil needed. After a lot of research and comparison, this has been the best choice: high quality, very quiet, easy to use, fantastic results, food stay crisp and no smell around the house. Myer excellent service and special price is a winner. Also bought from Myer the extra accessories, the bake kit and the grill kit; they are small but worth the price, absolutely a must have for endless fantastic recipes that you will find on the NutriU app. Just make sure that you buy the accessories that fit for this model (bake kit HD9925/01 and grill kit HD9941/00), to not be confused with the ones for the XXL Air Fryer. I bought this because it is ‘compact’ and it is compared to other air fryers. The useable space is very small. Cooking results are excellent using the top rack but uneven if you use top and bottom together. Easy to clean in dishwasher but surfaces are showing minor wear after only two months. I can’t really see how Phillips can justify the price as there are equally good fryers available at less than half the price. I bought mine with points, I wouldn’t have used real money.
We bought this product from how well we have heard it cooks. So far we have cooked eggs in the shell, white potato and sweet potato fries. The fries taste just as good as the fries from McDonald’s, Harvey’s, A&W, Wendy’s, Swiss Chalet etc. We’ve also cooked home made breaded chicken fingers, different vegetables. I recommend this product to anyone who needs to save time on their cooking times with hardly any oil when oil is needed. Besides how great the food tastes, you use next to nothing in oil when you mix up the oil and food in a bowl. Chicken fingers do not use oil, only your egg to dip and breadcrumbs to coat both sides. Also no oil for a hard boiled egg done in the Airfryer. Eggs take 16 min White potato fries 10 min, shake, then another 10 min Sweet potato ... Initial puzzlement was mixed with eagerness but fortunately all went smoothly as I negotiated my first forays into basic air fryer use. My Philips air fryer, now having resided with us for 2 weeks , is an invaluable member of the family..thats two of us!
