Definitely worth that little bit extra for a superior lint removal device. Bought one for myself and was so impressed, I bought another for a family member. Lint removers have destroyed my sweaters and scarves in the past with poor designs and overzealous blades so it is financially worthwhile to invest in the Phillips to keep garments preserved and looking brand new. Highly recommend.

My level of excitement over this purchase is ridiculous! I’m clearly showing my age. This $16 gadget has completely transformed my winter wardrobe, and saved an expensive trackie jacket I purchased, which sadly had pilling after just a few wears. Within minutes, this has restored it to virtually brand new. I then pulled out every item I owned to see if I could zap it, and had way too much fun doing so.It does require emptying after each use (for my trackie jacket I emptied it twice) but this only takes a minute to do. Worth it when you see how much it picks up. I have now purchased a spare for myself and one for my mum. Highly recommend!

I really wanted a good lint remover after my $2 one proved to be not really up to the task. It is better than the cheaper version, but still it does take ages to pill one jumper and you have to keep emptying the lint catcher. De-linting one jumper had me emptying it out maybe 10 times? Bit tedious. I think maybe I'll aim for a more heavy duty one next time, but it seems fine if you just want to spruce something quickly.

Very pleased with this purchase. Works really well to remove pilling from woollen garments, now they look like new again. I have read some reviews which said the battery life was not long, however I have found it to be fine. It is important to empty the chamber regularly as the motor slows down when it is full. Overall an excellent product and great overnight delivery service from Harvey Norman.
This product is amazing! I was wearing my favourite bra and because my top is black all the fabric got caught to the bra and all I wanted to do was get rid of it. I knew straight away that the Phillips shaver would get it off ASAP! I had another model before and was absolutely gutted when I misplaced it. I don't understand how the Phillips fabric shaver can be so cheap and be of such high quality ! I even use it on my sheets! It works so so so well, especially if you have flannelette sheets that happen to pill up easily! I won't rant anymore haha, but would recommend this product 10000%, no doubt about it.
I was a bit skeptical of this product as I’ve tried a few in the past and my husband thought it was a waste of money however upon arrival and trial, we were both pleasantly surprised. We both use it weekly on our; jumpers, cardigans, trackies etc and still haven’t had to change the batteries yet. The little catch fills up quite quickly and we need to empty it every few minutes but this could be our clothes/ fabric contributing to this. Not too noisey and very easy to use. Overall very happy.
Just got it today and so far it works great. It’s lightweight and easy to use. Stylish looking unit. The noise level is about the same as an average facial hair electric shaver. This has a more tinny sound though. Wish the tiny brush had a longer handle to sweep out the bottom of the collection container. I did find that the fine fluff fibres stick all over the unit both inside and outside and are hard to remove with the little brush. Aside from this the shaver works well and I am hoping it lasts a long time!
It works wonderfully well, but the problem was, with the second garment I tried, it caught up some material and stopped. Not a big deal. Except that one of the blades had come loose.JB exchanged it for a new one, no problems. But three stars because of this. I am really scared to used it much now in case the same thing happens.I am definitely too scared to follow the instructions to takeoff the blade for cleaning. It will all be done with the blade attached.I would recommend it because the shop will exchange it if the same happens to you.
A fantastic little gadget that really works and is very reasonably priced too! I love my new purchase and will be using it many times! I tried it straight out of the box on my fleece. It was covered with fluff when I absentmindedly added it in the wash with towels! The Phillips Fabric Shaver removed all the fluff with such ease. I bought this to remove fluff from a large throw blanket. The blanket was completely covered with fluff and it looked ready to be throw away. Using this fabric shaver brought the blanket back to looking new. I used the two AA batteries that came with the shaver and replaced those twice, but I shaved fluff off the entire blanket plus fluff from a 1m x 1m fabric ottoman (see attached picture of all the fluff). You need to empty the fluff container regularly because it's small. You should also check that the head of the shaver is clean if you're doing a lot of shaving - unscrew the shaver guard and use the accompanying brush to clean the inside of it, the blades and underneath them.
