I hate fitting ceiling lights, and last did it over 20 years ago, so didn't enjoy wobbling on my rarely used stepladders at all.Having said that, this was pretty easy compared to my last week's effort in the den (of another brand and from another source), which took me ages to fix. It is basic compared to the Hue system, but does the trick and is quite bright enough for my small kitchen. The secondary settings make the kitchen look better, but I prefer full brightness when I am preparing food rather than reaching for the spirits cupboard.

I was looking for a light for a very small home office room which gave the equivalent to an 'old-fashioned' 100W bulb. This has proved excellent and an electrician fitted in less than 5 minutes. Apparently it should last for about 5 years when I guess I'll have to search for whatever is fashionable at that time. The downside is that I will be without a light whilst I purchase a new light and arrange to have it fitted.

I bought two of these for the hall and landing. They are very light and there's no issue with head room. I particularly like the black edge as it works really well with my decor. It does say they are easy to install but my electrician had to make a larger hole in the ceiling to fit all of the cables in because they fit flush to the ceiling.

The prooduct is easy to install- expereince of other manufacturerer light fittings has in general been extremely fustrating- every light fitting should be as simple as this to install.The dimming function, whilst sceptical about the need is actually quite useful and simple to operate.Have as main light in study (small bedroom) and light output is ample.Looks good - it is slim and looks good.Just purchased another.
Brilliant lights - excuse the pun - bought 3, for our cellar which has a low ceiling. Two for the ceiling and one to go on the stairwell.Stylish and good price. Builders impressed and took details to use on future projects.
Bought three of these lights for our hall. The three light levels are useful and easy to use. Lights fit flush to the ceiling, unobtrusive but smart looking. Very pleased with them.
This almost flat Philips ceiling light has three levels of brightness: high, normal and low, controlled by the main on-off switch. I have found this 'dimmable' function useful, and I bought two, one for the utility room and one for the landing, where it replaces a nightlight for any nocturnal visits to the loo eg by grandchildren. It was a bit tricky to fit, and when the LED bulb gives out, the whole light has to be replaced. But the black and white looks very smart and modern, suiting any decor, and I am very pleased with it.
Was looking for a light for my hallway, bought 3 of these. Very pleased although it is slightly expensive for what it is. It has 3 light settings, turn the switch on and you get the maximum power setting, then turn the switch on and off within 5 seconds and you get the medium setting, turn the switch on and off again and you get the lower setting, you can do this with the current switch you have so no need to change the switch. Fitting is very easy although it has no earth connection. It has a live and negative wire connection which is nicely fitted on the panel that screws to the ceiling. Might buy few more if the price drops or goes cheaper, around 40 pounds is too much for this and it is made of plastic.
Our living room ceiling is low so we needed a slim light fitting and this fitted the bill perfectly. It's not exactly pretty but it's unobtrusive and, on the lowest of its three settings (obtained simply by flicking light switch the required number of times) provides plenty of light to watch TV, consuming tiny amounts of electricity. A paler colour rim would have been preferred but that's not an overriding issue.
