I couldn't be happier with the system, and love not wasting my money on expensive blades and hurting my neck when I shave. The cartridges are very easy to use, and I didn't bother with the instructions. There is an eject button on the oneblade which worked perfectly, I took a new blade out of the cartridge and snapped it on. I was done. I was curious to know if there was a suggested shelf-life so I read the instructions to see that the blades change color when it's time to replace - the blade I had been using for months had only started to change shade - was barely noticeable. So in summary, for it's ease of use, quality, comfort, effectiveness and long shelf life this is by far my favorite shaving system.

This product is great when it works. My first blades were fine, then I purchased a pack of replacement blades...totally different experience. The first one broke one of 4 hinges immediately. I thought I had accidentally mishandled it. I used it as best as I could but of course while taking the comb guide off the hinge on the opposite side broke. I made a point of being overly gentle with the second blade in the pack. 3 of 4 hinges broke almost immediately. Reading a 1 star review like this you'd wonder about the writer and if he's just too dumb to use the product properly, but my voice is just one of many who experienced these expensive product failures. The cost of these flimsy units is too high to chance buying another pack of blades and having them fail in the same way. Shame on you Philips, your customers deserve better.

This 3-pk of replacement blades is nearly as simple as it gets. I have already been using the Philips OneBlade for a while and received these replacement blades for free in exchange for this honest review.I regularly remove the blade on my OneBlade to clean some of the small hair that can tend to be stuck behind it. Installing one of these replacement blades is the exact same as reinstalling the original. Nothing new to fiddle with here. My old blade was doing just fine for trimming and truth be told I never really even considered needing to replace it.After installing one of these replacement blades, I had mixed feelings. The new blade seemed to cut through the hair with a little more ease, but it was not by much and it very well could have been the placebo ... MoreThis 3-pk of replacement blades is nearly as simple as it gets. The new blade seemed to cut through the hair with a little more ease, but it was not by much and it very well could have been the placebo effect going on making me think it was doing better because I knew it was a new one. It definitely was not as remarkable a difference as I would have expected. These replacement blades have a wear indicator strip on them that I am guessing when it completely fades away is when I am supposed to replace it, however, as I mentioned before, I was still using the original blade without any issues. I have not been using one of the new blades long enough for the wear indicator to start deteriorating, but I am thinking that it will tell me to replace the blade far sooner than I will feel is necessary. That makes me think about two things: First, unnecessary waste, and second, Phillips trying to make another buck, by having everyone replace their blades sooner than necessary. The OneBlade razors are not like a typical shaving razor that is getting nicks in the blade as easily and risk cutting your face. In addition, if you are using a trimmer head as opposed to straight on the face, if there were any slight nicks on the blade you do not risk any chance of cutting your face since the blades are not actually touching you. Granted you would have a decreased quality of cut though.Overall, I think the blades are exactly what they are advertised as, replacement blades. I would not expect any more or less than what you are currently experiencing with the original blade that came with the OneBlade set.

Great product for keeping that smart look
14 August 2022

I already had in my possession the one blade but was not aware that the blade itself had been improved upon. I was happy to try the new blade and am so happy I did. I have a goatee beard which, when shaving, can be a little difficult to keep looking tidy, straight lines etc. Using the one blade with new blade has helped where other products do not. It is so easy to use, so smooth and trims brilliantly. Added to that, I am now also able to trim armpits and around my chest with ease, therefore keeping my body looking smarter and tidier as a result. No issues with possible cuts as other blades etc do happen to cause. Good product that is easy to use. My photos show the old type blade and new one

Great product for those that like a little stubble
9 July 2022

I love this shaver. It gives me a cleaner shave and closer shave than my other electric razor. It’s not like baby bum smooth but I like my little bit of stubble. Got to admit though it does go close enough to the point where you are supposed to have a shave. I love it and give it 5* I normally just use my electric other brand shaver and it leaves more stubble but this Philips one gets a much closer shave. Love how it just glides through the stubble.

Nice to have extra blades
9 July 2018

I've been instructed to start this review by saying that I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Having said that, I'm very happy that I was provided this product, as I've been a huge fan of my OneBlade razor for the year and a half I've had it so far. I keep a short beard, and find this razor perfect for keeping my beard at a length that I like while also using the razor to shape my beard and trim my neck, which it does very well. I had never changed the blade on my OneBlade, but upon receiving this 3 pack of blades I realized that a few of the teeth on my original blade had moved around, which could have been affecting my shave (although I never noticed this). Having a beard, I do get a fair amount of hair caught in the blade which I must remove, so I'm happy to have the replacement blades available. The replacement blades come in a very simple package and are easy to pop out and place into the OneBlade. Other razors I have can be quite frustrating to replace a blade, so I found it refreshing that it was quite clear how I should input the blade and hearing a satisfying click. I've been using this replacement blade for the past week and honestly have no complaints. The only negative I'd say is that I'm still not really sure that my blade needed to be replaced after a year of usage, but it's good to know that I have back-ups if the razor happens to break. If you like using the OneBlade, this replacement pack will keep it in its best condition and give you some additional blades in case anything happens to one. Very happy with all and would highly recommend.

Replacement blades DO NOT LAST long
25 June 2022

These replacement blades absolutely do NOT last as long as the one that originally came with the shaver.I got 18 months of good cutting performance from the original one and only had to replace it when it broke. In fact, the replacements are so much worse that after only a month of edge-trimming only, they become noticeably more dull and at times need several passes to even cut through a single stray hair despite the fact you have it carefully positioned between the teeth on the blade.I mean, it works. Then, since you're hooked, the replacement blades are of an inferior quality to ensure you have to replace them more often.I've noticed the exact same thing with other brands of shavers. Everything is a scam these days. Also, do not drop, bump, or otherwise cause any impact to the blades or they WILL break extremely easily.Handle it at all times as if it's a Fabergé egg.

The Philips OneBlade 2 replaceable blades are easy to use with no risk of cutting yourself. They don't irritate my skin like other products. When using the comb on the lowest setting the blade gives me a really close shave but not too close to cause skin irritation. They can be a bit tricky to change sometimes.

Solid little unit. Frail but expensive replacement blades
5 April 2023

I received this as a gift. The unit itself is solid, holds a great charge, charges quickly, is lightweight and fits into toiletry bag nicely. The heads, although gentle and fairly precise, require a lot of back and forth to get all the whiskers (a function of it's lighter weight/flexy design). And they are also super flimsy and fragile, break easily and are are about $10-$15 each to replace. All in all, I'd probably explore another option for my next trimmer purchase.

Versatile and easy to use shaver / trimmer
8 August 2022

Having used the original blades before, I already had a good idea of what to expect from the new OneBlade blades. Sure enough, the new blades gave a comfortable shave with no snagging and pulling, and no razer burn on my sensitive skin. And the areas of my beard that I trimmed were even and neat, with none of the usual long stragglers. The addition of the indicator strip is great because it removes the guesswork of when it's time to change blades. The only other improvement I would have liked to have seen is some way to reduce the number of tiny nooks and crannies for hair to get trapped in. However, using a little brush under a blast of hot water did get rid of most of the hair.Overall I think the new and improved blades are great and maintain the versatility ... MoreHaving used the original blades before, I already had a good idea of what to expect from the new OneBlade blades.
