Philosophy - Purity Made Simple Oil-Free Cleanser 8 oz.

It left my skin feeling amazing and I got so many compliments on my skin when I was using philosophy products. It smelled so clean, fresh and natural and I really enjoyed washing my face with this cleanser. My only complaint was that it would not remove stubborn eye makeup. I ended up having to use eye makeup remover after cleansing in order to remove it and that hasn’t been the case with other products I’ve used. All in all, it’s great as long as you use a separate eye makeup remover.

I have been using this cleanser for years and will not switch to another one. This was the only cleanser I found that wasn’t too drying. It is perfect balance. My skin does not get overly tight and it does not get greasy. It gives a beautiful glow and absolutely love how my skin feels after washing it. I had acne prone skin and this seems to keep my skin clear when I am being consistent with it. I use this product morning and night. It might not do anything for aging/mature skin but I think it is great for someone in their younger years. I think the price is pretty reasonable at $34 considering that one bottle usually lasts me a year. It doesn’t lather a lot and has kind of a creamy consistency which I don’t mind at all.

I recently discovered this facial cleanser, and have been hooked ever since. I have both a smaller travel size and the larger tub. It works great on my skin and doesn’t cause any sort of reaction. I’ve noticed I don’t even have to double cleanse. It just takes off my impurities face oil and or full coverage makeup up with no issues. The scent is delightful and not over powering. It reminds me of something refreshing you would find out a five star hotel. A little goes a long way so I feel the product as well worth the price.

A Little Goes A Long Way!

Let me start off by saying Ive used the regular Philosophy face wash in the past and loved it and honestly cannot remember why I stopped using it. My skin is combo/oily and I had no idea Philosophy came out with this Mattifying face wash. Ive used/do use mattifying toners/lotions/etc but have never seen a face wash before! Word to the wise: DO NOT squirt out a lot!! I made that mistake the first time I used it and let me tell you, this stuff is a little thick and when mixed with water it lathers you nicely~~ I ended up with a sink full of bubbles. I truly have mixed feelings about this product. It is simple enough to use, and does achieve a squeaky clean, however I found it to be curious in several ways. First, it has a rather powerful fragrance. I suppose with its title and appearance, I anticipated that it would have a pure scent as well. This is not the case. Those who are sensitive to fragrance, should likely steer clear. Second, upon applying to the face and massaging lightly, youll find that it quickly works its way into a dense lather. I didnt find this bothersome until I began to attempt a rinse. The more water you splash on your face, the more bubbly this product becomes! Perfect for Oily or Acne-prone Skin

I love the other purity one step cleanser as a shave soap and makeup remover but for my oily skin I need an actual oil-free oil removing cleanser. Thankfully this one is available because it is my favorite oily skin cleanser on the market and I’ve tried them all. The bamboo extract really does seem to do a little extra to get the skin even more matte than typical oil free cleansing gels which only get to the surface of oil. If you have dry delicate skin you will love the original, but not everyone wants a hydrating cleanser. Some of us are trying to get rid of too-plentiful oil so we can fight acne and grease-face! I never want to be without this wash!!

Surprising Improvement On My Holy Grail Cleanser

I never leave reviews but have been telling anyone who listens how great this is!I have been using Purity Made Simply in both the cream and gel form for years and have been very pleased. I added both the foam and this mattifying cleanser to my cart for Christmas. I really like the foam but am thoroughly impressed with this mattifying formula of their gel cleanser. As stated by other reviewers, a little goes a LONG way. This may replace the gel as my favorite cleanser by the time the bottle is empty! I highly recommend it to oily types who like me find their sensitivity makes them acne-prone.
