Pioneer DJ HDJ-X5-K DJ Headphones Black

I replaced my 20 year old Sennheisers for these pioneers. In terms of the sound they are pretty good. I would say the mid to High end is not quite as good, but you get what you pay for. Comfort wise they are really good, very comfortable and they cover the whole of my ears! If you want a clearer sound there are other more expensive pioneer headphones that you could look at. Good all rounder !!

Fantastic build quality & design from Pioneer. Fit nicely on the head & very comfortable after long time usage. Ear pads are very comfortable & do not create discomfort like some earpads can. Sound quality is crystal clear. Great sound response from these headphones when djing. Wired connection is of good quality & seems to with stand prolonged usage & durability also very good. Highly recommend for the price. 5 stars!

Fantastic headphones

Fantastic headphones, no complaints about them whatsoever.Comfortable to wear and decent sound response from them.Would highly recommend.Next day delivery only issues we had was with Hermes and not being able to track the delivery once the headphones got to the depot causing a huge worry as the headphones was needed to DJ that evening after previous ones being stolen. However all turned out good in the end.

Flimsy Plastic

I used them a bout a dozen times in a few months until I heard CRACK while listening. Entire earpiece broke off. I sent them to a service center which cost me 12 dollars and change to ship. they wanted either $25 to ship back or $125 to repair and return. At this point I had invested $125 in them. Cheaper to buy another pair. What a disappointment. They did sound great but if you move at all while listening you can hear the plastic stressing. So thi is a no go. I thought Pioneer Was better quality than that. I have never owned such a cheaply made product from Pioneer.

Headband is weak

Though these sound pretty good, the hinges at the ear cups are garbage.These were purchased in July, and now the hinges are 3/4 cracked.Don't waste your money, unless you don't mind ending up with a pair of small, ear cup style speakers. Absolute junk.

OK sound but terrible interference

As the bronze pick at the bottom of Pioneer's current DJ Headphone range (behind the X7's and the X10's), you don't expect these to be outstanding. But being Pioneer you do expect them to be quality. My problem with these is the interference that comes into the headset via any friction against the lead or against the outer casing on the phones themselves. It's like having a plastic bin put over your head and then being hit by a wooden stick. The sound quality is ok for 100 and if you can handle the external noise being amplified into your head during mute moments then you will be fine. I couldn't. If you can find a second hand pair of HDJ1500's or 2000's then go for them instead.

Pioneer HDJ-X5 Headphones - Replacement of faulty product

The product was actually a replacement (HDJ-X5 Headphones) for and old latent defect which I found out about on the pioneer dj website. If you own these make sure you check pioneer DJ website in relation to the defect.DJ Kit were great, they arranged for the replacement new product, with no issues, after nearly a year of me having it. The service was great, friendly and fast.Well done DJ Kit...! :-)

Solid headphones for the money.

I find that i need the volume to be louder than my previous set for beatmatching. Guessing the lows are a bit quiet. Still think they are a good set though. Very comfortable and flexible. Can wear them any way you want really!

Test audit

A truly excellent piece of kit from Pioneer. At the midrange in the Pioneer DJ headphones line, but with the option of Bluetooth, these work exceptionally well for both mixing and pleasure. The removable cable is sturdy and long enough for use with your decks, and the sound quality better than expected for the middle band, bringing out the bass and with enough volume to hear what you need in the club. Plus they sit comfortably too. It's always a toss up between Sennheiser and Pioneer for me when it comes to DJ headphones. For the price abs the quality and what I need them to do, with the added Bluetooth option, the Pioneer HDJ-CUEs are exceptional. And the speedy and reliable service from djkit is some of the best customer service I've had hands down.

bang on the money

Another amazing bit of kit from pioneer. I got these part of the DDJ 400 kit for £449 they are very well boxed and presented like they are of very High value.The sound quality from them is top notch and they sit perfect around your ear and block out enough sound to here what track your about to mix in. No issues and would be worth the £89 they cost. very small amount of money for such a good set of entry level head phones.Please if your local or you can drive please visit DJ Kit amazing staff and they really do look after you. I only spent a very small amount of money and was made to feel as tho I was buying the shop they couldn’t do enough for me.
