After riding 10,000 km with a Pirelli MT 60 front tire, I had the misfortune of having the CEAT tires "offered" with the slightly newer Himalayan 410 mounted. I don't like them at all (15,000 km with them and I'm happy to get rid of them). So I'm going back to these good old and loyal Pirelli MT 60s that offered me a much better feeling on the road (more lean angle without apprehension and less transition feel in the tire's curvature).

Average at best, considering the cost.

I had high hopes with these, as they were the OE tire on my 2019 Royel Enfield Himalayan.On wet and dry pavement they never left me wanting for more grip, so in that respect I'd say they were fantastic tires.The problems arose once I tracked off the pavement. In looser terrain they feel mediocre and not at all predictable. Brilliant Supermoto Tire

I do light off-roading with my Husqvarna SMR 510 and I like to shred the backroads. I wanted to increase my off-road traction without sacrificing road grip. I come from pure street sport bike tires like the Bridgestone RS10 and S20. I have to say, I can't tell that I've given up any on-road performance. I'm a little hesitant to lean it quite as far as the sport tires, but I think that may be more in my head than anything. The rear moves around a bit more on heavy braking, but under power it stays planted. The wet grip is phenomenal. The dirt and gravel is great, but mud isn't very good. Rocky river crossing have been fine. My only complaint is it's quite an expensive tire and doesn't seem to be lasting long. Honestly, I don't think I'll get more than 4000 km out of the rear, which is about what I get out of a Battalax S20, but the S20 is just over half the price.

Fantastic all round tire. Surprisingly competent off road.

Surprisingly fantastic traction in all situations including muddy off road and hard cornering on pavement. Only down side is a somewhat squirmy (lack of feel) sensation on pavement, but easy enough to get used to. Tread life is good considering the softness of the rubber. Very light tire, so less rotating mass (which has many advantages) great tire.

Get something else

These tires came OEM on my Zero DS. While they have the look, they are terrible at everything. I've never felt such a bad tire, I couldn't wait to get them off my bike. No matter what type of riding you do, there is a better tire than this.

It's more road-biased, but doesn't instantly let you down off pavement either. For gravel roads, fire roads, two-track, they'll get the job done and deliver reasonable confidence you wouldn't have with a pure road or 90/10 tire. The rear kicks out predictably if you ask it to, and the front offers surprising gravel braking grip before the ABS feels the need to kick in. Venture into anything wet or soft and you'll quickly find the limits of these off road, no surprise there as Pirelli calls this a 60/40 tread. On pavement, they're perfectly fine. For a more powerful/faster bike this might cause issues at higher speeds, but given the Himmy's max comfortable cruise speed is about 70, they're perfectly passable.My issue is they're a little pricey given the short tread life. I don't expect the rear to break 5k miles, and it's only coping with a mild mannered 24hp engine and a fairly sedate riding style. For only $25 more or so, you can get top shelf, multi compound Anakees that would likely double that mileage while offering similar performance. If this was an inexpensive Shinko the short life would be expected/excusable, but that's not the case.I can see why RE selected this tire as factory fitment, but I probably won't buy them again once the stock set is worn out. There's better value choices out there.Note the factory 90/90-21 front size is available in virtually any tire you want, but the stock 120/90-17 rear- while not obscure- isn't as common as 130/80-17,which easily swaps in and opens up more choices for the rear. If a tire you want isn't available in the 120/90, try searching under 130/80.

Good longevity for the price.

These came on my Moto Guzzi V7 III Rough model which seems to be marketed as dual sport-ish. I made it to 10k on a rear with plenty left on the front. I'm 5k in on a new rear (same tire) with 15k on the original front. Still holds well. Bike has hard cases which get loaded frequently and I'm only 150 lbs so not a whole lot of weight on the bike. Obviously not a 100% road-going tire. I can feel the bike walk in hard corners but what would you expect for 50/50s? 5 stars for the longevity. I'm mostly highway commuting so these aren't the best choice but for the price and what I've gotten out of them, they're alright in my book. I have gone backroading on these on a mix of dirt and gravel. Great looking Tire with grip galore.

These tires are the direct OEM replacements on the Ducati Scrambler 1100. Everything about them inspires confidence in the corner and on wet pavement. I’ve not really ridden much off road with them, so I won’t comment on that aspect. The only complaint I have is tread wear. Which seems to be this tires Achilles heel. I got 5500 out of the first set. But one doesn’t get all that grip without some sacrifice. And it all depends on how aggressively you ride, how many miles you’ll get from them. Just wished they’d made these in a dual compound. Like the Angel GT 2’s

I ordered this Pirelli mt60 rear tyre on Friday bank holiday weekend, got it on Tuesday. Fantastic service from The visor shop tyre came from Northern Ireland. I’m told you can’t get Pirelli MT 60s anymore . Original on my Himalayan, crossan motorcycles newry Northern Ireland had 3 . XL883N Adventure

I put a set of these tires on my 2019 Iron 883 shortly after purchasing it. There's a bunch of dirt and country roads were I live. So I need a good on road/off road tire and these fit the bill. They have outstanding wet and dry grip on road. They do a pretty good job off road. They tackle grass, dirt and mud with no issues. The only time you're gonna run into trouble off road is when you have contact with packed gravel. they have no issues with spread-out loose gravel. Another negative is that these tire have short tread life. I took off my stock Michelin Scorcher tires at 100 miles, and have been riding with these ever since then. I currently have 5600+ miles on them and my bike.
