The focus of the P ZERO Race is entirely on maximum performance. The design of the tread is identical to that of the Tubeless Ready version of the same name, as is the rubber compound used. The P ZERO Race is made of the new SmartEVO compound. With the know-how of over 110 years of tradition in motorsport, Pirelli has put together a blend of three functional polymers with "intelligent" properties that form the basis of SmartEVO's outstanding performance. Each of the three polymers has specific performance characteristics and, when combined, guarantee the optimum balance of grip and rolling resistance. On the other hand, this model has a completely new 120 TPI nylon carcass structure, designed for use with an inner tube and in compliance with the new ETRTO standards for 19C rims (inside rim width).
