I have the disposable Grind No More dental guards made by Plackers. These night guards came sixteen to the box and can be used up to forty-eight times. I have had very expensive dental guards custom made for me by a dentist so I was eager to give these a try. My main issues are TMJ and grinding. While I was very skeptical when I first put this guard in my mouth, I quickly became convinced this is a product with great potential. It feels odd at first since it doesn’t really attach or hug your teeth, but once you adjust to the feel you will see this is a good thing. There is no boiling required, no molding to your teeth – nothing like you may be used to with a dental guard. These come in one size and have a bite plate that absorbs grinding and clenching. The ... Each guard can be used for up to three days and then you will dispose of it and use another one. Not only do I find myself wearing this at night, I have been wearing it some during the day as it’s quiet comfortable and you can still talk just fine with it in. If you are in need of a dental guard for grinding, TMJ, or any other reason then I highly suggest you give this one a try!

These night guards are the best, cheapest, and most comfortable option. Almost a year’s worth for $20 is a great value and worth every cent, and you can choose to wear on top or bottom teeth. Before finding Plackers, I spent $600 on a night guard from the dentist that turned out to be hard uncomfortable plastic that didn’t fit in my mouth and made it impossible to sleep. Highly recommend trying these out before dropping half a grand on a mouth mold!

Being an extremely delicate individual, I was not ready to pay $200 for a mouthguard at my dental specialist's. As I disclosed to them, I would presumably awaken during the center of the evening and sling it across the room! So that just was impossible. A little exploration drove me to this little apparatus. At the point when you originally put it in your mouth, you will have a few questions LOL, yet you will see that it will remain set up with the slight strain between your teeth, simply be certain that the little strip is pushed up close to your gums toward the front. They say you can utilize every one three times, yet that is just for individuals who would rather not spotless them. The majority of the other comparative mouth monitors out there don't advance ... This is a good mouth guard. I have tried a few, and I have those custom made ones from dentists. I'm alternating this with my dentist made mouth guard. pros - cost effective and easy to use. cons - since its not fix, can come out easily and takes a few nites to get use to it. I feel that the size is a little small if you have bigger jaw, I even cut one side (since I know am grinding on my right side, I cut off the top part of right side).
I received the Plackers Grind No More Dental Guards as part of Walmart’s Spark Reviewer Program. These are a set of 16 disposable night guards for those of us who clench or grind your teeth during sleep. This is a good temporary solution for those of us that have that problem. It comes with 16 individually wrapped night guards that can be used for three nights consecutively. I found after the second night they were a little out of shape because of the pressure from clenching the teeth. They are supposed to be worn on either the upper or lower teeth. For me I used them on the lower teeth because I found that the upper teeth didn’t hold as well and I was fearful that they will come out during my sleep and possibly cause me to choke. For me I used them on the lower teeth because I found that the upper teeth didn’t hold as well and I was fearful that they will come out during my sleep and possibly cause me to choke. They are very convenient unlike other temporary night guards because you don’t have to boil them. You put them over your teeth and a bracket goes behind your front teeth to keep them in. I do find that they work because I am one who clenches my teeth at night. Of course you have to get used to it because it is something foreign in your mouth. They also, with continued use can be irritating to the gums and/or tongue. I found myself using them for a couple of hours and then taking them out. If teeth clenching or grinding is a severe problem for you of course the best solution would be to get custom-made night guards. This is only if your case is severe because they’re very expensive. These night guards are a great temporary easy solution for those of us who clench or grind our teeth during sleep.
The packaging on these dental guards says they are good for both grinders and clenchers, and I fit the latter category, so I was curious to see if they really do help improve sleep. I knew that I was clenching my teeth in my sleep because I would sometimes wake up with my teeth still clenched, but I had no idea how it was affecting my sleep until I tried the Plackers. The packaging says you can use the guard on either your top or bottom teeth. I tried my top teeth first, and I slept through the night only waking up once. That is unusual for me, usually I get up two or three times in a night. I was amazed. That is unusual for me, usually I get up two or three times in a night. I was amazed. The guard is held in place by a little strappy piece that fits under your lip, and the grooved guard part that fits between your molars. It's some kind of dental safe rubbery material and it's not uncomfortable to wear as long as it fits. I tried the guard on my bottom teeth the second night, and I guess this is where the caveats of 'one size fits all' come in, because it was not as comfortable for me as it was on my top teeth. The rubbery strip that fits under your lip was hitting me in the frenulum. Mileage no doubt will vary with that. The box says you can use one for up to three nights in a row. If you choose to do that you'll probably want to get something to store them in, like a denture case or a soap dish. I resumed using the guard on my top teeth, which is a much better fit for me, and got several more great nights sleep before I started to notice that my bite alignment was being affected, so I stopped using them and my bite went back to normal. The box says not to use them for more than 3 months at a time, so that makes sense. How long you can them before you need to give it a rest for a little while is probably going to vary for different people, but I'm happy to have this product in my medicine cabinet to break out on those nights when a good night's sleep is extra important.
I’ve been using a dentist-made mouthguard for >5 years now for bruxism, but have been looking for an alternative for traveling / in between days. Tried the boil & mold types but they don’t work well and usually force teeth/jaw into weird angles that might hurt. The Plackers guard seemed to have many bad reviews saying it’s too small and falls out of the mouth etc, but if you read the instructions, it’s not meant to cover all your molars as long as it sits on some it will work. Used correctly, it also won’t fall out. I used it last night on my upper teeth for about 10 hours, and it worked fine and achieved the aim of keeping my teeth apart so I don’t grind them. Initially the front felt a bit uncomfortable on my gums as my gums are a bit softer and more prone to ... Initially the front felt a bit uncomfortable on my gums as my gums are a bit softer and more prone to injury, but surprisingly it was comfortable enough to last the whole night, didn’t fall out and didn’t make my gums, teeth or jaw hurt despite 10 hours’ continuous usage. Great product! Only wished each guard lasted longer than 3 uses.
My molars are touching at rest so I need a mouthguard at night to prevent my molars from eroding prematurely. I do not clench or grind. For my specific purpose, I wanted a thin and small mouthguard which do not cover all the teeth because of my dry mouth and receding gum. They meet these criteria. Moreover, they don't taste and smell bad. However they don't hold in place very well. It would have been better to make a part to hold the molars on the lingual side as well. This would have given a better grip.
I would like to explain this product to those that don't understand it. This is not a FULL fit night mouth guard and does not MOLD to your teeth. It is purposely made to be small, compact, and only go back as far as a couple of molars and for bigger mouths, a molar and a half. The material it made from is soft but firm, firm being the more appropriate word. I have read reviews of people saying these are not for clenches only grinders. I have also read that these shift teeth.
These night protectors help protect against teeth grinding worked for my husband but not for me. I had a very hard time getting them on and once they were on they just wouldn’t stay on. I could‘t figure out why they wouldn’t stay on. I finally gave up and asked my husband to try them. He didn’t have a problem putting them on and they stayed in place through the night. And they worked meaning they stayed on all night and I didn’t hear any grinding during the nights. What he liked about them was that one size fits all, the one size fit on bottom and top teeth, they are reusable and disposable, they are individually packaged, and the comfortable bite plate with alignment grooves to help absorb grinding and clenching. The streamlined design is one-size-fits-all and ... This product is highly recommended and the price is also reasonable.
