Love Polk audio. Polk has always focused on providing superior speakers for the working class, like me. And these speakers provide amazing sound quality, especially for the price! I bought 4 of these speakers, center channel, sub, & atmos speakers and paired with a Denon AVR S760H and couldn't be happier! This is for a secondary setup in my basement, and I now find we spend much more time watching movies downstairs. Considered getting a set of the larger towers for my setups front speakers but these do such a great job I just can't justify it. I also have a Polk Flagship speaker setup on my main system that I spent thousands++ on years ago, these monitor series speakers show me Polk still has a focus on quality & value.

I bought these and comparable klipsch bookshelf speakers for my daughter. She liked the klipsch a little better so we returned these...but these are decent. Try to listen to any speaker in the store before you buy, its easier, and everyone seems to have different tastes in sound.

These speakers were an ULTIMATE upgrade at a paltry sum I fancy myself an Audiophile; so these are just office speakers as I have a dedicated two channel listening area. However, they replaced some modified Polk T15s. The T15s had been fitted with Dayton AMT tweets and the crossover rebuilt however, they were getting old and I needed a set of speakers for the garage. Enter the XT20! I was truly shocked to acquire them for $169 I couldnt say no so glad I did! Now listening in pure audio on the Onkyo TX-NR656 instead of using the sub they really dont need it Would recommend highly to anyone needing a budget set of bookshelf speakers for a good listening experience.

Very good value for the price point.Can be used at about 75% volume on ONKYO 300W receiver without any distortion. I use as the back/top peakers in a 5 speaker set up. Front, Top/back, and Sub. Good for the price and fine for almost everyone. They are not high end, so don't expect that. They do exactly what they state they will do.POLK is a solid audio company.
These Polk XT20 speakers complete my home theater as surrounds. I currently run a Polk PSW10 with a XT30 center speaker along with a pair of MXT60 towers for my soundstage. The XT series is 100% High-Res certified. Aside from looking great, the sound quality from the XT20s is excellent, just like the other Polk speakers I run. The bass response is strong and defined for bookshelf speakers. The one-inch tweeter throws out great highs. I do advise to set your EQs prior to use for a higher degree of excellence on sound. I recommend the Polk XT20.
Great speakers,Ordered the full set.Xt20's xt30 xt90's and xt15's running on a pioneer vsx-935These are surprisingly nice out of the box. I wasn't expecting such a nice looking speaker. They don't feel cheap in any way. They are also heavier than I expected witch gives them a premium feel at a budget price.I matched them up with my 10" svs seled sub.The Xt20's are impressive. Beast of a speaker can't say enough. I don't like a bright tweeter and these sound perfect.
Bought these to replace an old set of JBL MR26 that died. The sound quality is excellent for my home theatre, equally good for movies, sports and gaming.Most of my family noticed a huge improvement, especially in tv/movie dialog.I was considering the ES15 as well which are Polk’s higher end signature line, but I went with these due to higher wattage and lower price. Glad I did, no doubt the other set would’ve sounded great s well, but these offer better value for the price IMO.
Most excellent for the price. Polk never disappoints! My salesperson was very helpful, although he did make a point of saying that these were "very low-end Polks." Even my audiophile pals express amazement at the sound that comes out of these little guys. They also arrived very quickly and free shipping was another plus. Thank you!
You just can’t go wrong with Polk Audio. We bought a Polk system for a new big screen install. Loved it, so we switched out our other av speakers on 2 other systems as well. Full XT Monitor series. Crisp, clean, great base both active and passive, Extremely low distortion. Well-priced for the quality .
Good for surround or front speakers. I tried these first as front speakers with stands. I then switched them to rear surround speaker. I choose to get the polk xt 60 for front, wanted little more sound. The polk xt15 were ok for rear surround, but the xt20 were much better.
