Right out of the box I was impressed with the solid build and inert cabinet. Connected to my Marantz NR1200 stereo receiver they sound absolutely lovely with all types of music that I tried. Acoustic folk, Rock, Jazz, Blues, and Classical all sound wonderful. I played music through Airplay and from Vinyl. Instrumentation is clear and detailed, bass is tight, and male and female vocals are in the right place. Mids and highs are detailed and smooth with no harshness. All round, these are great speakers.

I would give these a 5 if they were better for music, they sound great for a rear channel surround for watching movies but when it comes to music they are lacking, I may need to tweak my EQ settings but I also haven't had then long maybe they need to break in a little. I'm impressed with the sound they produce don't get me wrong I've been a long time Polk fan they are great speakers but maybe a little overpriced, I have a set of polk monitor 40s that over power them unless I turn the dbs down, the 40s are my front channel and these are the rear and that makes for a phenomenal home theater system. They sound better than a bose set I had if that tells you anything

Spent months researching and came across the es15 model, I have the s35 center and psw10 powered sub from rc willey. All were the best priced at rc willey over Amazon and Best Buy . Anyways , noticed right away the difference, more tone to the effects as well as smooth higher frequencies from the tweeter gives a great sound combination. Love them!!!

I have a 5.1 system with the S20’s for fronts, S35 centre, PSW10 sub, and I was using the T300 for surround, but these are a huge upgrade over the T300’s. My only complaint with all of these Polk speakers is they don’t allow for bi amping.
This things are amazing. Sounds to the ear are like tastes to the tongue. Each person is a little different. There is no "one" great set but for my ears, Polk is the brand of speakers that I stumbled upon and found that I really love. They are superbly housed they just sound so smooth. I have them coupled with a small FOSI amp now but am upgrading the amp to do them justice. Don't think you'd go wrong with these.
I purchased the Polk ES15's to replace the frontchannel underperformers (newer Infinity spkrs) in my workshop 5.1 system. They brought the L and R edges of the soundstage a bit forward to better align with the existing Polk center channel speaker in the loft. Sounds better than my Sennheiser headphones and I can listen at the recorded volume without disturbing anyone but the critters.
These skeeters are absolutely amazing. The sound that come from them is clear and full of good natural bass tones. This set really bright my home theater experience to the next level. Polk definitely stand up to it's reputation.
Excellent speakers for the price point. I paired these with my new Onkyo TX-8220 receiver and everything is coming in loud and clear. They are kind of like the Goldilocks of speakers--not too warm, not too bright, but just right.

Awesome speakers! Perfect for a smaller room (my bedroom). When I hit the bass extender on my receiver, I found that I did not need to purchase a small subwoofer. These speakers look good and sound great. Just enough bass and the highs and mids are just right. They don't take up much room and the separation is just right for how I have the bedroom laid out. Best thing was the price!
