Polo Red Intense by Ralph Lauren, Polo Red Intense is a men’s woody spicy cologne with fresh spicy, fruity, aromatic, coffee, citrus, and warm spicy main accords. The fragrance wears well through all seasons, day or night. Released in 2015, this scent opens with cranberry, blood grapefruit, lemon, and saffron. In the middle are ginger, coffee, lavender, and sage notes, with amber, leather, and red cedar base notes closing this arrangement. The sillage is heavy while the longevity is long lasting. Ralph Lauren created his fashion house in 1967 and designed his first men’s wear line, named Polo, a year later. The New York department store Bloomingdale’s was the exclusive seller of Lauren’s line a year later, giving Lauren its first in-store boutique. The brand grew to include women’s wear and its cotton mesh Polo shirt, a signature item that embodied the preppy look. Lauren launched the brand’s first men’s and women’s fragrances simultaneously in 1978. L’Oreal is the current fragrance license holder.
