I'm really surprised by how well this card performs given its price-point. Taking into account the realities of the current graphics card market, this is a good value. This is from the perspective of someone building a new PC rather than upgrading a card. It seems like the current price inflation is here to stay, so rather than waiting years for prices to drop (if they ever do), it makes sense to me to jump in now. I play at 1080P and this card plays everything. I especially love how it sips power while giving good performance. I don't think I've heard the fans kick in once. They stay off below 60 degrees and the card has never gone above that even in the middle of gaming at ultra settings. The only thing that might be a negative, which is something I don't really ... MoreI'm really surprised by how well this card performs given its price-point. But I kind of dig the exposed circuitry.

Was looking for a solid low-to-mid range GPU for 1080p gaming on current and recent past (over the past 5 yrs) titles. I typically play indie games, with the occasional AAA thrown in.I bought now because I noticed my ole GTX 1050 SC really couldn't hack it for games in early access (while games tend to have poor optimization). Needless to say, it was past retirement. Also, I knew in order to play KSP 2 with any level of performance, I would need an upgrade (yeah I'm a nerd).Similarly, my brother purchased the same card to play Hogwarts Legends as his GTX 770 meant scary/hilarious faces and atrocious gameplay. The good news: both of these games perform well on high or ultra settings with this card on an otherwise moderate setup (KSP 2 still in EA).Furthermore, ... MoreWas looking for a solid low-to-mid range GPU for 1080p gaming on current and recent past (over the past 5 yrs) titles. I bought this GPU due to its price and great performance reviews, and I'm happy to say that it is performing well with Lr6, Affinity Photo, and the Topaz software editing programs! It kicks renders an image from Gigapixel within 20 sec. and also from Sharpen with 10 seconds! Video editing isn't a problem either. Very fast and reliable card. At the time of purchase prices of GPU's were extremely high!

Good enough.

I built a rig from scratch half a year ago, but only had a several year old 2 gig Radeon for it. It was clearly not enough to use it as a main rig. So I stored it in the basement until the GPU market became more reasonable. When I realized that the ice was thawing on the GPU market, I ran to get this GPU. I had researched other middle of the road GPU's, and this one seemed the most reasonable and was closer to MSRP than any of the others at the time. I slapped the bad boy in the rig and went to town on it. If you are an elitist snob, then this GPU is clearly not for you. This GPU is for the average user or casual gamer. It is strictly middle of the road and will not wow you. If you are into video editing or rending, look for higher tier GPU's. It is strictly middle of the road and will not wow you. If you are into video editing or rending, look for higher tier GPU's. This will get the job done, but it may not have all the power and versatility you need to do all the things you want it to do. This GPU is a work horse at a reasonable cost and low TDP and is not a prize pony. If you don't care for flashy RGB and gimicky add ons, then this GPU will be more than adequate for your casual and usual needs. 8 gigs of DDR6 RAM is more than enough to run your games at 1080p 60 FPS or to do basic web browsing or basic video editing etc. This does not have a back plate nor RGB and I don't care about the fact. The temps only went up with the Cyberpunk game. It was hovering close to thermal throttle. All I had to do was lower the settings (still at 1080p, but lowered the other settings to medium). That was enough to bring the temps down.

Good middle of the road card
4 September 2022

This is my first time using an AMD card. I am impressed with it. Good performance for the cost.Installation was a breeze. My ATX motherboard is wider than the card so tis card should fit in most mid or full-size cases. It plays older games (Minecraft, GTA V) fine at 1080p usually well above 60 fps on high/ultra settings. It is capable of playing new AAA games (Saints Row 2022) with some reductions in graphics settings.I am only running 1 monitor and am not trying to stream or render video. It handles my needs fine but I would probably go up a price tier if I was trying to drive multiple monitors or do video work.

Great priced gaming card
10 March 2022

This card is not a high end 4K powerhouse, but it is also well under $500. What you get is a great video card that can push high/ultra visual settings at 1080p. It can do 4K as well, with some small concessions to visual settings. So far I have been able to play games like Dying Light 2 on nearly maximum settings at around 80 fps @ 1080P and that is with my ancient AMD FX-6300 CPU. If I had a more modern CPU, the results would be even better. It runs cool and has been rock solid for the last month or so that I have had it. I highly recommend this card if you need an upgrade to a card that is a few years old and don't want to take out a loan to do it.

There is no light on the card to indicate status. I have not witnessed the fans move.

Pushing 6 monitors!! Yes, SIX!

Ok, ok, not directly, but this card is sitting in a media server and driving 6 screens via 2 of it's outputs is running out to 2 POE hdmi splitters, which then run a couple hundred of feet in different directions over CAT6 to six television screens for slideshows and videos (digital signage in our office). This card runs it all without even blinking.I know this is a bit of a different use case than most will use, but I have NO doubt it will run games well on 2 or 3 different monitors with no issue, given how I'm using it.

Really Great Graphics Card for the money
2 March 2023

I got this Graphics card to pair with a older i7 4790 motherboard works great with the new 600w power supply. I can crank most games up to high to ultra getting 100 to 240 fps a sec easily on esport titles. Was easy to install and only needs 1 power connector. The gpu does a great job with beautiful lighting and other nifty features.not bad that it was only in the 200 dollar price range for performance compared to nvidia cards and was recommended by the microcenter employee.

Worst of the best

For reference I upgraded from an rx 580 Sapphire Pulse which I had bought back in 2018. I bought this rx 6600 for under initial msrp at micro center for $250. I am happy with this value, although i assume the price will only continue to decline. Coming from an rx 580 made by one of AMD’s best manufacturers I can say this card is very cool (literally), it usually stays under 55-60° when even playing intensive ray tracing games. I say worst of the best because it can ray trace but the performance is sub-par compared to other cards than can also ray trace.
