I really think the quality of the materials are adequate, especially for the price. The HUGE problem I have is that the spotter attachments don't even fit into my upright posts! Ridiculous. The j hooks fit perfectly, as seen in the images below. Besides folding, the spotters were a huge selling point for me. The round stock on the spotters is too large in diameter to fit into the upright holes, rendering them useless to me. I submitted a complaint with proform, through their website support system. I haven't heard back from them. We'll see if they step up and remedy the issue. I purchased directly from Proform.

I talked to customer service and they confirmed that the picture is wrong but will offer no compensation.As shown in the manual, it is a cheap/smaller j hook.

Good rack when your space is limited. Note: the upper J Hooks are not like what's shown in the picture nor do they have the rubber bumpers as shown on the Pro-Form website. It took 4 weeks and 2 shipping attempts to be delivered due to damage on the first one by the shipper - no fault to Academy. I ordered via phone and requested the red/black rack. I received the blue/black. Good equipment, but several issues with the rack and receiving it that keep it from 5 stars.

Bought this on sale for $499.99 and so far I have no complaints, very good quality and easy enough to install on your own if you are patient. I put this in my basement and needed something that is compact and could fold away so my kid can still play freely. My ceiling height is 92" and I would say that is about as low as you can go, the uprights when installed stand at about 89" tall but you need the extra couple of inches as the uprights lift up slightly in order to pivot them to the folding position. I flipped the chin-up bar upside down and put it in the lowest slot so that there is enough headroom to do a proper pull-up / chin-up.

Once you do this, everything should be lined up almost perfectly. Have one person hold everything against the wall flush while you put in the lag bolts.Doing it the way the directions want you to is asking for trouble. This product is a great upgrade for the workout room. I finally got rid of my old school weight bench. This product makes workouts with weights way more functional and is a huge space saver! Build quality looks real good. I'm sure to get many years of use out of this.One note, the product height is 6 cm taller than advertised by best buy specs. It is 229cm not 223cm as advertised in best buy specs. Can always trim it down if needed but voids warranty (side grinder).Setup was pretty easy, just make sure you measure the brackets accurately and you should have no problems. I did see another reviewer mention to put it all together and put it up to the wall to measure but didn't find this necessary. Just follow the instructions in the book for measuring and you ... I used 1/2” material between wall and top supports to equalize the bottom Support that went against baseboard. Lag screws are plenty long enough to go through the additional width . I pretty much put it all together on the floor, then simply swung it up ito place, as a previous review suggested. Worked well if you have the room.
For what i paid which was well under 500$ the quality is pretty decent, especially when you consider the competition.My main complaint was going in i didnt know i needed to remove the base boards until after i purchased the unit which is mildy annoying.Otherwise the installation process is rather simple and can be done properly in a few hours with the right tools.
Overall, this rack will serve it's purpose. Best advice is to assemble the whole thing on the floor first-sooo much easier that way. The rack is plenty sturdy and mostly easy to install. Mine was a garage installation and Proform did not account for the the concrete garage floor lip not to be level to the wall. (After seeing how the PRX half rack installed to the wall, I'd say that's a much better purchase). The pull up bar, j hooks and support arms are strong and do the job. If you're looking to add a dip station to this rack, again, go look at another rack because ProForm does not offer one.
I just installed this unit. So far I love it! I was switching my gym from inside the home to the garage and i was very hesitant because i wanted to still be able to park in the garage. This unit allows me to do just that. The fold up feature is great! It was pretty easy to install for me because install things frequently. Very sturdy and easy to use.
