When Phase One ships their newest digital back with a product it is as high a voucher as you can get from a manufacturer. After using the provided card (with the back) and purchasing three additional of these cards, I have had no problems, excellent read and write speeds. These cards are handling 150mp raw captures at times in extremely quick succession. I don't think there is a more data heavy photo test than this. I have used them for 5 years.downside- They may be more expensive than other brands but if you value your images and the great expense you go to to make them, this is not where you want to be pennywise.

I have an ASUS WS WRX workstation which has USB4 ports (40Gbps). If you buy the new ProGrade USB4 CF Express reader this card is a speed demon. I was able to do a sustain read on the card at 1.8GB/s. I also have the older ProGrade USB3 Gen 2 card reader and on a USB3 Gen2 port the card transferred at 760MB/s. That is less than half the speed. So if you want max speed on transfer to your computer you need a USB4 port and a USB4 card reader

After several years of successfully using the ProGrade Digital CF Express Type B 2.0 card in my Nikon D500, I purchased a Nikon Z8. I was concerned that shooting RAW with an FX crop at faster frame rates might be a problem, especially for the longer bursts required for Bird In Flight photos. The 4.0 card handled my longest bursts without any problems.I highly recommend this card.
High quality and fast. Not too expensive. I own several of these 512 GB cards and several of the 256 GB ones. They work great. I've accidentally put 3 of them through the laundry, and they still work find. Don't try that at home, though!
I got these as a spare set of CFx cards for my Nikon Z8 to supplement my two Sabrient 512GB cards. I'm going on a bird shooting vacation to Florida soon and wanted spares. These cards are so fast that I can shoot at 20FPS in high-efficiency compressed RAW on my Z8 literally as long as I want, and the buffer never drops below about 6 or 7. They are amazing. And the price is really good too.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
I'm replacing Sony Tough 125 GB CFexpress cards with these bad boys, and although my two Nikon Z9 cameras don't have v4.0 interfaces, the brute processing power of the ProGrade cards is apparent when you clip off hundreds of shots side-by-side at the same 1/2000ths of a second shutter speed and an f/1.2 lens mounted on each of the cameras while shooting lossless RAW/NEF files pared for mirroring within each camera. Literally, side-by-side tests running in tandem and the Sony cards start chugging after a few seconds, whereas the ProGrade card just keep going and going and going... These are definite keepers. Can't wait to see how they actually perform once pro cameras step up to CFexpress 4.0.
I originally bought a Lexar card that was fast, but would heat up just sitting in my Nikon z8 on a hot day. Not even really hot, just PNW hot in the 80's. Disappointed I looked around for another solution and found this awesome card from ProGrade. My buffer never slows down and it offloads to my PC fast all by never running hot. Love that it is super fast and CF4.0 so it has future room to grow. Would recommend! Oh and no issues running 8k raw!
I bought these based on the price point, ProGrade's reputation and past excellent experience with ProGrade products. Plus they are among the first CF-B cards to run at the v. 4.0 speeds (plus or minus double). The cards have been great, but they came packaged not in the standard clear plastic cases we've seen forever, but in egg carton material. I've used the standard plastic cases for years with nary a problem. I contacted ProGrade about it. They laughably told me that they were trying to save the planet by using the egg carton material rather than the small plastic cases. I guess it go right by them about how much plastic a Pelican or Rugged case uses. Bizarre.
In the single use I've used it, the card works well. I cannot speak for the read and write speeds, but it handled my Nikon Z7II very well. The task was to shoot a thousand 11-second exposures with one second of buffer at max resolution and to create a 4k video of all the pictures after completing the time lapse. The reason I bought it is because I had a 128 gb card, and it would max out at just over a thousand pictures over about 210 minutes. This was meant to provide enough speed and memory that I could record time lapse all night without issue. So far, so good.
