The blade was not sharp enough to do the chopping. Possibly flaw in the blade on the one I received. The plastic insert to move the vegetables around in the chopping cup didn't advance properly. It is, however, very sturdy and made well except the dull blade.

In a kitchen world of many gadgets, this is the most practical useful and well made item I have ever bought. When I need to do a quick chip chop in preparing larger volumes of ingredients this does it well-for me at least.Although the barrel could be a little bigger, it still suits my purpose.Best of all,it's so easy to clean.Pulls apart quick and flushes clean with water. Saves me heaps of time.

This chopper is awesome. I used to buy the cheaper ones, but they just would not work the way I expected. This one not only chops very well, it cuts through more than the cheaper brands! Easy to control. Easy take apart for cleaning. Holds up well in the dishwasher. Very happy with this. Definitely recommend,

I bought this on line & was prepared to cut all my salad fixings. Does not cut tomatoes, celery, zucchini, onions, green peppers, red peppers or garlic. I found the food clogged the cutter. The stainless steel blade is not sharp. It needs to be redesigned with a sharper blade. I am back to cutting vegetables manually with a sharp knife. The spring is so tight that even if you hit it hard, it still only dents the food.
I bought this specifically to chop tomatoes, it doesn’t chop them at all. It can’t get through the skin. Much faster to just chop them myself. Since there are no directions with it I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or not.
It was inexpensive, but works well and easy to clean. I didn't give it 5 stars, because it is too small for some jobs. Still, I will use it often, even if I have to reload it when I need more ingredients.
It's sturdy and well built. I used it to chop pecans and found I have to work hard to chop them up. It comes apart easily for cleaning. I think it might be easier to just use a good knife and cutting board instead of this. The base also came off too easily, spilling the chopped pecans. It might be nice to use when chopping onions just to keep your hands from handling the onion so much. But you could probably only fit half a medium onion in it at one time.
I received this as a Christmas gift and while I do like it alright, it’s ungodly smelly. I’m not sure if mine was returned and put back on the shelf but good god it’s so smelly and I found a brown gunk on the inside after I opened it. I washed and washed it and used it once but the smell is still there. I’m thinking of exchanging it for a new one in hopes that that one doesn’t reek.
I think the problem is that the chopper doesn’t really chop. I tried it three times with various vegetables and have found the doing it myself is way easier. The handle thing you push takes lots of work, my 5 yr old couldn’t do it and at times I think he’s stronger than me. I wouldn’t recommend
This thing is not engineed for chopping. Everytime I use it the food just gets stuck in the blades. It never actually cut anything just smashed it. Waste of time and money. Will be returning.
