Really good solid construction. So good that it buckles the door frames (lucky I only use it when travelling). But the bar’s grips diameter is to big for me to get a good rock solid grip on it and annoyingly my hands start to slip (and I have big hands). I just wish that the diameter was just a few centimetres smaller so I could get a good grip.

Was great for a couple of months as a pull up bar, but when I started swapping it between the pull up and dip fixtures, it would no longer tighten all the way and would spin in place, the metal wore down from the constant screwing and unscrewing I guess. I should've know better since it was loose but I continued using it for ab workouts and the bar fell out of the grips and I landed on my back. Ouch. I would recommend this as just a pull-up bar, but not to move it back and forth between pull-up and dip/push-up fixtures as it is not durable enough.

Love! Feels so sturdy and well made. Not worried about it breaking under my weight. The one little thing I would change is the fact that the bar rotates under hand a tiny bit (depending on your grip and which side of the bar you're on) but it's not a big issue as you can just switch sides so that you're essentially "tightening" the bar as you pull up.

Went up easy enough and is holding strong after 2 months of use. The gaps in the center are great as a runner for resistance bands in an assisted pull up. It will only suit a shoulder width, or close grip pull up though. You can use a wider grip but you will be holding the metal bars which are a lot thinner than the padded sections and are slightly uncomfortable.
I use this bar for literally everything, it was super easy to set up and to change the height of the bar to help with different exercises. This bar is super contagious as you walk into the room and you might just do a quick couple and then you do another exercise this then leads to a full workout. This bar works so well that i had to take it down for a few days because i felt i was getting addicted. On a strong door frame this bar works perfect as i have had no issues with any damage. This was certainly the best $60 i have ever spent.
We have had an older PTP Pull-Up Bar for years. Both my kids are gymnasts and were fighting over who got to use the bar during Zoom training (Covid lockdown). So, I purchased another one. I love that this new version has 3 pairs of holding brackets that you can put at varying heights in your door jam. It dramatically improves the versatility of the bar (pushups, body rows, inverted hangs, dips etc). The grip on the old model was foam and over the years has started falling apart. The grip on the new one is a thick rubber. It will last forever. My only criticism of the bar is that the rubber grip spins on the bar whilst doing pullups and chinups.
The middle part of the bar that you hold does not lock. It does not feel anything like using a fixed bar at the gym or the park. It rolls out of your hand on to your fingers. Useless. There are better products out there.
I returned this product at it wasn't the most obvious that I had to screw it into the door frames. I think this is a very big consideration as it permanently damage your door frames. I rent and have metal door frames too so it was basically out of the question. I personally think none of the pullbars should be a permanent fixture as it gets in the way of traffic and other in the house.
Very solid bar. Comes with extra screws and mounts so you can move it between locations or higher/lower. Only complaint is that the centre grip rotates unless it is rock solid, which is too much for a typical timber door frame without pushing out the frame. Need to use a wide grip to avoid this. Not the end of the earth.
I’m a 30yo male and like a lot of other people home bound by recent events I have started shopping around for home exercise equipment. It is of my own belief that chin ups are an essential exercise in achieving well rounded upper body strength and so I needed a chin up bar, only problem is I don’t have a lot of room. After a bit of research (and YouTube reviews) I came across this style of bar, and this one in particular ticks all the boxes. It looks good, easy to set up, and I can actually still use my door with it remaining in place. Despite weighing 100kg the bar is sturdy as, honestly thought there was a chance I’d have pulled it out of the wall by now but it hangs in there like a champ. It won’t wreck your door frames either, if you are renting the small holes ... MoreI’m a 30yo male and like a lot of other people home bound by recent events I have started shopping around for home exercise equipment. It won’t wreck your door frames either, if you are renting the small holes left behind are easily bogged with some cheap white filler. You don’t need to be a carpenter to install either, but I would highly recommend a measuring tape. A drill would be handy but you can do it with a screw driver and a can do attitude. I can’t recommend this thing enough, this is the best when it comes to indoor chin-up bars.
