Pureology Smooth Perfection Shampoo & Conditioner 266ml Duo

Just like the Hydrate Shampoo, this one came highly recommended but ended up being unusable for me. And for exactly the same reason as the shampoo...it left my scalp feeling itchy. I know this for definite as I used the shampoo with a different conditioner that doesn't cause any issues, yet my scalp itched, and then I alternated and used my regular shampoo with this conditioner and still my scalp itched. So it's both products. And it's a shame, as I was really happy with the conditioning effect as my hair was completely tangle-free and manageable for a change, without any knotting throughout the day. Also most conditioners I've used can make my hair and especially roots oily within 12 hours but this wasn't doing that at all. If it wasn't for the issues I experienced I would have continued to use this. Pureology manufacturers please take note: too much peppermint oil and you run the risk of causing adverse reactions on sensitive scalps. I couldn't tell you exactly where on the ingredients list it should be, but 7th place from the top indicates a fair amount of it is in here. And this is coming from someone who doesn't even have a particularly sensitive scalp to begin with! I am in love with the Pureology Smooth Perfection haircare line. After washing my hair with the pureology smooth perfection shampoo, I followed up by using the smooth perfection conditioner. I used a quarter size amount or less of both and that was more than enough. I have really long hair and usually use more product with my usual shampoo and conditioner, but this one goes a long way. I focused the conditioner on the ends of my hair and applied the remaining conditioner on my roots. I let the conditioner sit on my hair for the recommend 1 to 2 minutes. I proceeded to rinse out the conditioner and it took no time for it to be all out. My hair felt and smelled so clean and soft. I am very impressed by how smooth and healthy my hair is after using pureology. I would definitely recommend the Pureology Smooth Perfection haircare line. This is my new Holy Grail!

I used the shampoo in conjunction with the conditioner and they worked so well together! They made my hair so soft and smooth I didn’t even need to use a detangler spray (which I ALWAYS have to use on my naturally wavy and frizzy hair). My hair still seemed a little frizzy after drying, but by the second day it was much better. And one day I straightened my hair, which I almost never do anymore because it would always leave my hair feeling dry and it would get tangled very easily, but not this time! It was soooo super smooth and soft, it was great! I couldn’t really say how well it protects your hair color as mine had already faded before I was it out, but I’m sure it’s comparable to other shampoos and conditioners that protect dyed hair color. The conditioner is great but the material that the bottle is made of is so cheap that it’s impossible to use it. The plastic material is very thin & weak, the bottle is big, and the conditioner is thick and heavy so, when you squeeze the bottle, the bottle bends & collapses and you cannot get the conditioner out. Plus, the condition barely comes out of the squeeze top because the opening is so small and the conditioner is thick. It’s incredibly difficult to squeeze hard enough to get the conditioner out because the plastic has no firmness or resistance. You have to put the top on, bang the bottle multiple times upside down to get the conditioner to the opening and then take off the top and squeeze a little bit out. Ridiculous. I got this product complimentary from Influenster and Pureology for my honest review. I really loved how this product worked for my hair. It left it so smooth and silky. It went into my hair like silk and when I rinsed it out it It left my hair and scalp feeling amazing. When I blew my hair dry it was smooth and silky. Absolutely fabulous! Only negative, which I was REALLY surprised about, was the scent of this product. It was not pleasant at all to me and not something like I’ve ever smelled in a shampoo. I didn’t like it and for me that is important in a shampoo. I have other Pureology products and love their scents. it’s just this one that I couldn’t tolerate. I was fortunate enough to receive another [brand:pureology] VoxBox recently, this time featuring their Smooth Perfection line. The color and texture are very similar to the [brand:pureology] Smooth products I used in the past, but the formula has been updated since. I can instantly feel this conditioner smoothing and moisturizing as I easily comb my fingers through my hair to spread. I leave on for 5 minutes when I need a deep condition or 2 when I’m in a rush. The end result is silky soft, tame hair that doesn’t feel greasy or weighed down. Conditioner is a nice one that helps smooth but doesn't overdo it and cause hair to feel heavy. The shampoo cleanses hair great, good lather though it can make hair feel only slightly stripped. Both help cleanse and Condition my hair without feeling too dry or too weighed down. The heat protectant from this line is nice and I feel it helps smooth hair and help make it somewhat softer. It doesn't help much with tangles though. Overall a good smoothing system that helps with frizz. I would recommend anyone trying it out. Feels nice, but need more time to try

I received this conditioner to try from Influenster. I was very skeptical because no smoothing line has ever made my chemically damaged hair frizz free. About the product - it's a thick creamy consistency with a floral/herbal smell. It's not too overpowering of a smell, it just smells nice like a spa. I have chin length, coarse, damaged, frizzy, medium to thick hair that tends to frizz in humidity. After using the product after the same line of shampoo, it really made my hair feel smooth after rinsing. After air drying my hair (no blow drying or flat ironing) it felt a little smoother than before. Since I don't wash my hair everyday, I felt my hair feel more greasier (especially at the scalp) the next day. I don't every put conditioner on my scalp. Made My Hair Look & Feel Great!

This shampoo and conditioner really made my hair super soft and super smooth! Once I rinsed the shampoo out, I still felt that coating on my hair. I was a little concerned by this, because I have fine hair and I was afraid my hair was going to look oily or be really weighed down before I even put the conditioner on my hair. I was 1st using Pureology volume duo which gives great volume but I wanted more protection because of blow drying so much. I decided to try the red bottle and I can’t believe the results! My hair probably because of blowing it out by sections still has the volume but the difference in feel and shine is very noticeable. I will also mention the shampoo sudds up wonderfully, after the hair is drenched, making sure my palms are very wet, I then add some shampoo and put my hands together before applying. I will also add, before blowing out, I use the red bottle leave in heat protectant lotion.
