Pyrex 18 Piece Simply Store Food Storage Set, Clear

Pyrex is my holy grail of food storage. Great for meal prep, too! The sizes included with this set are perfect for a variety of uses. Great quality food storage that I really enjoy using. I know I will have these for years to come.

Been using these for years

These glass storage containers are the best. Been using them for years. The recent purchase was because we needed additional containers as we use them all the time and to replace some of the plastic lids as they tend to crack after a few years. These containers are also great because you can reheat the food in them in the microwave. Can’t do that with some plastics and metal containers.

I would buy this product again.

I bought the product using the $10.00 Off Birthday Coupon that I received. I have always loved the Pyrex brand because my grandparents have been using it even before I was born and it is such a trusted brand. Since I got married, 3 years now, my husband and I have had only a couple of Pyrex items, mainly measuring cups and a few pieces of storage stuff for our work lunch. For our everyday use and leftover containers, we have Rubbermaid. In fact, we have about 50 of those plastic Rubbermaid containers. My main problem with them is they stain and they get distorted from the dishwasher easily. This is why I have decided to use only glassware (either Snapware, Pyrex or Corningware). Lid melted in microwave

I love this set of bowls, but I must caution that the lid melted in my microwave after 1 minute 15 seconds of heating although they claim to be microwave safe. Now my smallest bowl has no lid. I will take care not to use the remainder of the set in the microwave, but I will not purchase (this set was a gift) and I do not recommend. Bowls are nice and heavy, but not good value without the lids.

Poor quality

I was expecting it to be better. The lids don't fit well and slip off easily. I don't know if i got a bad batch or if they're all like this, but i wouldn't recommend them for packing lunches. Holding left overs I'm the fridge they work fine, just be careful when removing them.

Product not durable and warranty coverage is poor.

These are used for storage only (do not use in the oven or microwave) and I do not use metal utensils when transferring food to or from the storage container. The lids stain easily and absorb odors so I do send these through the dishwasher on the top rack. When the box arrived not all the pieces were replaced and no explanation was provided as to why. Since, I was new to glass storage containers I thought that this performance was normal. I decided to try another brand and have been much happier with the performance. The glass itself is heavier in a side by side comparison and the lids are more flexible straight from the fridge which seems to help with preventing the sides from cracking. More importantly the lips of the containers are smoother and more rounded so they do not chip. In the past I have been happy with Pyrex products. I have had the covered mixing bowl set for about eight years with no chips and no lids splitting. The recent product quality is a disappointment as is the customer service and warranty coverage. I am satisfied with the quality of the other brand I tried and will continue to replace the Pyrex pieces that fail with pieces from this brand. I do not have room in my kitchen for something that is this prone to breakage. I would not repurchase or recommend Pyrex glass storage containers.

Works for a Everything

This set is amazing. I find myself using the bowls more than I do plates or my old bowl sets. I wasn’t sure the tops would be food or fall proof but they are actually really tight and don’t loosen in the dish washer. They are easy to clean because they are glass. You don’t have to worry about sustainability because they are recyclable and reusable. Also no bad chemicals to worry about. Pyrex is a good company. I definitely recommend this product for food storage or eating out of.

Would not buy again

New version of this set has changed and the lids don't work correctly. I already have this set from a past purchase and can immediately tell the set has changed. See picture for example. I put a 4 cup bowl inside of an 8 cup bowl. The 8 cup bowl is from the old set where the glass is darker and thicker. The lids fit pretty tight and work well. The new glass is thinner and lighter and does not seal as well because it's loose. Liquids leak if the bowl is tilted. The new set came with a mix of clear or darker glass, so some of them work, but others don't. For the price I paid, it's not worth it to even attempt a return, so I'm just using them as-is. The fit on the square ones are so loose, that I'll never use them with liquid. Otherwise, the bowls themselves hold up well, and I've never had one crack, break, or explode in the microwave. don't regret buying these

I like these cause the lids are different color per size of container....makes it easy to find the lid. I decided to get rid of all the plastic food storage containers I have. Started wondering what chemicals were leaching into my food during heating the food. So....out they go. Will probably use them for other storage uses that don't involve food I eat! PS: I never put lids in the microwave or oven. Never have. I just use press-n-seal or a paper plate to cover in the microwave. If this set isn't enough....buy two sets....DUH.

great variety of sizes

Why did I wait so long. I'm tired of using foil and plastic wrap in refrigerator. My family can't seem to understand how leftovers work unless they can see inside the container. Easy to wash clear glass and well-fitted lids. Microwave/dishwasher safe. The assorted large and small sizes are perfect. I've always had a few small pyrex containers but this 18- piece set will pay for install in a month with less food waste and costly foil and plastic wrap covering
