Pyrex Simply Store 6-Piece Rectangular Glass Food Storage Set

I recently purchased a 6-Piece Pyrex Set. I absolutely love it! It's so easy to prep a meal, cover & freeze until im ready to use it. Then i just put my meal in either the microwave or the oven. Cover & save leftovers in the fridge for later. Pyrex makes my life easier!

I've used Pyrex Glass storage containers for 20+ years and love them. I bought four of the 6-piece Rectangular Storage Sets to give to my two nieces, who are close to flying the nest. It was disappointing to find that in one of the sets, the lid does not fit well on the largest of the three containers. It took about three minutes of stretching and forcing to get the lid on the first time. The long sides of the lid flair out, leave a questionable seal, because the lid is too small. I tried the lid on the other 3 sets and it worked fine. Perhaps the container is slightly larger than it should be. Anomalies happen. I mainly use these for prep. food, leftovers and portioned meals. I mainly put them into the microwave for reheating. I obviously avoid putting them into the oven and microwave straight out of the refrigerator. As with all glass, you don't want to put them through extreme temp. change too quickly. That's just asking for trouble. I like them because they release grease easily and keep things fresher by being colder than plastics. It also keep heated food warmer longer as well. Which means, I get to use less dish washing liquid and less electricity for cooling the fridge. They are quite durable. I have had my older sets of pyrex, (my mother had it for 15 years and I've had them for over 10 years). They are still used to this day.
