The cups are clearly marked with both metric and standard measurements, making it easy to measure both wet and dry ingredients precisely. I got these measuring cups because I always seem to need another one. They are now my favorite! Most importantly, they measure nicely. I like that the measuring lines are long so that it is easier to see where the liquid is at a glance. Also as important, they pour great, the best of any that I have both Pyrex and other brands. They feel feel nice in your hand and have the small dip to rest your thumb on when holding. So far they've washed up well in the dishwasher. I just wish I had a 3 cup version!

I bought a new set of these because the red markings on my old set, which I've had for decades, started to disappear. These are a different design and the pour spouts are VERY SMALL, so when you pour the liquid out the liquid spills everywhere. It's really bad. The company markets this very bad redesign as a "controlled pour" which makes no sense. It literally takes me 10 times as long to empty my 4-cup dish because I have to pour it so slowly. When I contacted Pyrex customer service about it they said "try holding it directly over where you're pouring it so dripping and overflow will go right into the target receptacle." The Pyrex measuring cups have been classics for decades, but this redesign qualifies for one of the worst redesigns in the history of any classic ... MoreI bought a new set of these because the red markings on my old set, which I've had for decades, started to disappear. FYI I gave mine away and am still using my old set even though I can no longer read the markings.

What I specifically love about this Pyrex set of measuring cups is that they can fit inside one another for storage, which is a big deal when you have limited space. I also love that it has cups, oz, and on other side it has the metric system. I'm married to someone who grew up w/ the metric system so he tends to use that side of the cup and then when I'm following recipes from his country I'm able to easily see where to fill without converting everything first. They're heavy duty and just he right size and heft. Highly recommend.
I absolutely love the 2 cup measuring cup. I never realized how handy it was to have an extra mid size measuring cup.I have multiple 1 cup and 4 cup measuring cups. A lot of times I need 1.5-2 cups, where I’m constantly rinsing cups or using too big of one.The quality is top notch. The numbers and letters have yet to fade. It can handle hot or cold liquids and you know the glass isn’t going to shatter.Pyrex does not disappoint and this is going to be my go to gifts at weddings.
I switched from plastic measuring cups to these Pyrex measuring cups and this was the best switch. This are durable, can go in the microwave if I need to warm up or melt a certain amount of like chocolate chips. The handle and spout are awesome, to pour from. The measurements are really clear and are not fading or rubbing out.Since it's Pyrex and not plastic, the scent of the food does not stick to it like my old measuring cups. The best part is that it's dishwasher safe so there is no clean up.
Well a measuring cup where you can't read the measurements isn't much use at all. I bought this to replace an identical Pyrex measuring cup that I've had for years that got chipped. Within a month, going in the top rack of the dishwasher only a few times, the markings became nearly unreadable. I do put it in the microwave regularly to make a water bath for baby bottles but that seems like pretty standard use. My mom has a Pyrex measuring cup that is literally decades old and looks well loved but the markings are still very legible. I see I'm not the only one with this complaint.
I purchased my new Pyrex 4 cup liquid measuring cup from Walmart, as my old one, (which lasted forever) was showing heavy signs of wear, making the measurements very difficult to read. Not impossible, but straining for the eyes. I put my new PYREX glass measuring cup to work the next day and made a batch of dough for 6 loaves of bread. The dough was the worst I had EVER made. I was left scratching my head, wondering what I did wrong. After a bit of thought, I realized there was only one thing I had done differently- used my new measuring cup. I still had my old one so I brought it out. I filled my new one to 1 1/3 cup. Then I very carefully transferred the water to the old Pyrex measuring cup- and there it was! I don’t know how or why they could be so far out from ... MoreI purchased my new Pyrex 4 cup liquid measuring cup from Walmart, as my old one, (which lasted forever) was showing heavy signs of wear, making the measurements very difficult to read. I don’t know how or why they could be so far out from each other but when I transferred it to the old one, the level never even came up to the 1 cup measuring line! I’ve trusted Pyrex for years and of course when I bought my new one, I immediately removed all of the tags/stickers and washed it- so this is no longer a returnable item. I now have a completely useless liquid measuring cup and 6 loaves of “bread” that might be ok for croutons or stuffing at best. Including a photo of where it came to in my old liquid measure. This is definitely one thing I purchase, fully trusting that because of the name, that I could trust it and that it could last for as many years as my old one. The new one was a bust from the start. So bakers beware. I was fooled- please don’t think you suddenly can’t bake.
I purchased this measuring cup for two things: to measure liquids and to carefully pour those liquids into my dishes. This product does one of those two things well. The first recipe I tried to make requires one to measure the broth and add it slowly into the dish. The spout on this cup is incapable of slowly pouring water. Instead, it dribbles down the front of the cup and onto the counter/stove/floor. I've only had it for a month, so I can't speak to the longevity of the markings. I bought this one to replace my old Anchor Hawking measuring cup that was no longer legible. Does anyone make embossed measuring cups anymore?
