First off, let me just say that this is the best way to purchase new gear for your own sound system collection. It’s so convenient to not have to fork out the huge dollar amount. I am pleased to the highest level ever.I purchased this sub with the intention of having a little oompff for the music that was to play at my wedding. I got married in a tropical Forrest setting in Hawaii. Imagine a huge grassy area surrounded by lush fruit trees and taro patches galore across the running but crossable stream. We played mellow Hawaiian music with simple upright bass stylings at the start and I was mesmerized at the power of the KS112.The mellow Hawaiian music was followed by a 4 piece Hawaiian band playing the old school music of Hawaii even including a steel guitar and ... MoreFirst off, let me just say that this is the best way to purchase new gear for your own sound system collection. I just purchased my second qsc sub to complete my dj package.the first one was bought locally at my music store . I purchased this one from AMS. I wish I would have bought all of my equipment from them. The service and communication is second to none . Extremely fast shipping , instant transaction and raised the bar on purchasing equipment. There will be more to follow hands down. The quality and sound of qsc products are unmatched. These being only twelves with blow your mind . The adjustability and overload protection is fantastic not to mention the build quality is 100% top notch. Will definitely buy qsc products from now on and AMS will be my supplier! Thanks guys for being #1

Went back in forth with myself between the KS118, Alto TS315, and EKX 15. Already had K12.2 but wanted a sub that would complement those plus the other 4 tops that I have. Way better than expected. DON'T go with the bigger KS118 unless you have tons of room for transport. This is compact and LIGHT as hell... I can fit it all in a 4 door sedan with everything else for smaller setups. You won't be disappointed at all. And even better AMS takes care of us Mobile DJ's, best business practices, fast shipping, excellent service and they have the newest gear first!

So back in November 2017, I decided on QSC. Purchased a k10.2 and was very impressed with the sound quality. I began to carry it around as soon as I received it to gatherings to entertain my friends and family.I have no prior knowledge in DJing,or live sound equipment. But some how I knew this was a great product.Fast forward a year later, in December 2018 my wife and I began to wonder what a sub would sound like. Since my speaker already sounded pretty good. The bass sound was amazing and highs were crisp.I started to look at QSC cardioid ks212, and began to think is this to much. I only have 1 speaker, why go with 2 subs? After further research, I found this baby, QSC’s ks112.Never thought I could ever be more satisfied with the sound and quality of this ... MoreSo back in November 2017, I decided on QSC. Perfect for small gatherings and venues. LOUD,CLEAR and POWERFUL. My family and friends can’t get enough of the abilities these bring for entertainment.

"Does this Sub make my bottom look BIG???"

Our little 3 piece (4 if you count the BeatBuddy) upgraded to pair of QSC 12.2's and a Touch Mix 16. Was extremely pleased with these items. but when playing rooms 700 sqft and larger, the sound was really falling off in the back of the room and of course limiting regarding the low's. Did all the reading and the reading and the reading on subology... and finally opted for one KS112. What a difference! The sound, for what we do, it's just flat out impressive considering the cost and size of this unit. Now as pointed out in many other reviews, this is not an 18" sub and will not give pavement cracking lows if that's what you're situation requires. I will say; again, for the cost, wheeled, within 1 reasonable human's lifting capacity, very well built with a lot of ... MoreOur little 3 piece (4 if you count the BeatBuddy) upgraded to pair of QSC 12.2's and a Touch Mix 16. I'm thinking of getting a second one just to get rid of both stands for the 12.2'sThanks QSC!

A great subwoofer with power to spare

Overall:Beyond pleased with purchase of the QSC 112. Very fast/accurate order process. Ordered on 4/15/21 delivered 4/16/21. I must say this paired with the QSC K8.2 has made me giddy with the sound quality and the amount of power at my disposal. Being on caster (wheels) right out the box, excellent size, weight and design, ability to place vertical well as horizontal are a nice touch to a well crafted unit. I am looking forward to using the 112 with the K12.2 to really get a grasp of the power it beholds. Will update with experiences . My rating for Manufacturer Support is based on when I contact with questions never a issue with QSC products.

Absolute trash.

I bought a pair of these 6 months ago. First gig out, they sounded pretty good, but had terrible phasing issues during sound check. Nearly every gig since, phasing issues have been worse and worse. Tried time aligning them, had to add up to 6 milliseconds of delay to get them close. Finally one amp smoked during a gig. Sent it back to QSC... amp pcbs are back ordered for 3+ months. Don't waste your time with these, they are garbage, will definitely break in a few months and then can't be repaired.

Boomy, muddy, narrow range, not ideal for dance music

I bought one of these based only on QSC's excellent reputation. Unfortunately this unit wasn't what I was looking for. Bandpass boxes are optimized for specific frequencies, and aren't very good at handling much more than an optimized box resonance frequency. That means the bass sounds one-note, as in thud-thud-thud rather than with identifiable musical notes. Add lots of reverberation inside that 2-chamber cabinet, and this model sacrifices too much accuracy and frequency range in the interest of portability. The design is certainly clever, with two different chambers and port lengths to make it bandpass for two different frequencies instead of one, but it just doesn't hit low enough to work well for the type of dance music I DJ. I expected it not to hit as low as ... MoreI bought one of these based only on QSC's excellent reputation. Unfortunately this unit wasn't what I was looking for. I expected it not to hit as low as a KS118, but I was still disappointed. I A/B tested it against my SVS SB-2000 Pro which is a much smaller, lower powered design, and while the QSC wins on pure volume, the deeper extension and quicker response of the tiny SVS was night and day more musical. I'm still looking for a good portable sub that I can hand-carry on jobs that are too small for the 100 lb 18, but this one wasn't it.

Great Sub But...
18 July 2021

I enjoyed the 10 minutes of usage I had. I picked this up "open box" from Rancho Cucamonga. 10 minutes into trying it out and the volume set to 11-12 o'clock the unit went into "protect mode 1" and shut down. I repeated the process a few more times. I had to make the return after not being able to troubleshoot along with some GC assistance. I am now searching for another sub, but might have to mix match brands. Post covid shipping is at a stand still.
