Quest Bar Choc Chip Cookie Dough 60g Protein Bars 20pc

I granted the Quest Cookie Dough flavor at a gas station where it was the only flavor they had and I needed a protein bar. The flavor was not great; not terrible, but it didn’t make me think of cookie dough. A little bland. It did have chocolate chip pieces in it, but those were a little flavorless too. The texture was the typical Quest squishy, chewy texture. It did its job of filling me up when I needed a protein meal, but I wouldn’t get this flavor again.

Amazing

I have gestational diabetes and had to go on a strict low carb diet. My numbers were good but I struggled to get my fasting blood sugar down. They told me to eat a high protein snack before bed. I tried lots of snack some worked for a little some didn't my fasting sugars would range from 93-100. If I could not stay under 95 I would have so start insulin injections. But once I tried the quest chocolate peanut butter as my snack bet for bed my fasting sugars became 83-88 which is amazing. I was able to go the rest of the pregnancy with out the threat of injecting insulin and for the I am super grateful.

CHANGED INGREDIENTS!!

I have been buying these bars for many years. The company recently substituted the prebiotic fiber with soluable corn fiber, which is known for causing diarreha and other gastrointestinal problems. It happened to my 89 yr old mother. After about a month & a half of her having bowel issues in the morning we figured out it was the new ingredients. Once she stopped eating the bars, her bowel problems cleared up. BAD substitution!

Don't waste your money!

I was skeptical of the other bad reviews thinking maybe they just weren’t used to gluten free foods (this is GF)…no. They were ALL right. This is awful, it doesn’t taste bad at first but after three to four chews it tastes like the bodily fluid that comes out of your mouth. That is also the after taste it leaves in your mouth for hours. I drank Kombucha afterwards and still have the taste in my mouth… I even tried to put PB on the bar to make it taste better but the PB melts faster than you can chew the bar. Do not waste your money!

Good stuff

Quest bars are delicious...well most of the flavors are. This one is super good. It tastes good right out of the wrapper and tastes like cookie dough (but a proteiny cookie dough) but if you nuke it for a few seconds (on a plate because the microwave won't be happy if you put the silver wrapper in there!) it really tastes like a fresh cc cookie right out of the oven! A few years ago, they were more chewy, but I noticed in the last year or so, they've reformulated them to make them softer and they actually have a more buttery taste too. I prefer the chewier version that I can soften in the microwave if I choose to. These bars aren't excessively sweet. They are a 7 on a 1-10 scale.

Not satisfied

The package is good. The size of the bar normal. I bought it because I want to cover my protein need in my diet since i do workout and doing strength training. I though it will benefit me to eat tasty and fast protein source, plus that I love chocolate. But from the pic on the package I thought it’s cookies and I was very disappointed when I found it’s like a paste texture bar with some chocolate pieces. The taste is horrible. It doesn’t taste like chocolate at all so I bought it at 2021 and I still have it till today

What happens when you screw with perfection

This was one of the greatest protein bars ever made, it was delicious! For those of you who will never know the wonderful taste (because now they’ve gone and made them better) it was like a Oreo cookie mixed with this wonderful minty chunk and covered with chocolate…. Not this mushy aftertaste bar they’re selling you now! I’m so sorry I ordered 6 boxes!!! They should tell people before they destroy a product! at least send you a sample !!! These are NOT what I ordered!!!!!! Oh and PLEASE DON’T MAKE ANYMORE “BETTER “

I love the S'mores One Bar but this one has it beat! Soft nougat-y texture (reminded me of the Barebells bar nougat centers) with large chocolate chunks and pieces of gluten free graham crackers. I was suprised to see actual chunks of stuff in there. Most protein bars just have the "flavor" and not actual mix-ins. I've tried a lot of protein bars and this is definitely the tastiest. Also genuinely satisfying. The calorie count is low enough that it can be just a snack to satisfy a sweet craving.

I’m rating these Quest protein bars “5 stars” considering they are PROTEIN BARS. They are not actually made out of cookie dough. I’m clarifying this point because, based on some of the negative reviews, it seems like people expect they’re going to enjoy them as much as they enjoy eating cookie dough. ??? Cmon people. No, these are NOT made of “5 star” cookie dough. but they truly taste as close to cookie dough as I’ve ever had a protein bar taste. The texture is fine IMO - it’s similar to a clif bar. it isn’t chalky like some reviews claim. Are these bars the best thing Ive ever eaten? No. But they are a decent tasting/textured protein bar that fits my dietary requirements.
