This was my first experience trying a liquid blush and after testing it out, I can understand why this formulation is a best seller and often sold out. Encourage is a soft mauvy pink, which is perfect for any occasion. I really love the thoughtful, ergonomic design of the packaging and the generous size of the large doe foot applicator, which makes the product easy to hold, open and close comfortably and apply precisely without wastage. The shade range is also extensive, with multiple options for any complexion from deep to fair. Application and results: It was really easy to apply this blush precisely using the wide tipped doe foot applicator, which covers just the right amount of area on the cheek to be able to make generous sized dots. Application and results: It was really easy to apply this blush precisely using the wide tipped doe foot applicator, which covers just the right amount of area on the cheek to be able to make generous sized dots. A little goes a long way with this blush, so I applied 2 dots of blush on each cheek, which was very easy to blend out with my fingers or a medium sized domed kabuki brush. It was also very pigmented and easy to build up intensity. The formula feels lightweight on the skin and has just the right consistency; not too runny that it makes a mess and not too thick that it’s difficult to work with. The finish is dewy and looks like a natural flush of colour on the cheeks. However, it was also easy to tone down the luminosity by applying a tiny amount of translucent powder or a powder blush in a similar tone, on top to set it. Pros: - ergonomic packaging - lightweight formula - pigmented - easy to blend - buildable - versatile application - cruelty free - fragrance - free Cons: - none I would highly recommend this product to anyone who enjoys wearing blush or who wants to try a pigmented, good quality liquid blush as an alternative to using powder blush.

I'm a blush addict. I'll admit it. Blush makes me happy. It brightens up your face, gives you that great sun-kissed look, and just makes your complexion look better in general I feel. I'm pretty new to liquid blush though, I'm somewhat old school and have always used powdered versions. I had recently bought an eyebrow kit from the Rare Beauty brand, and I was super excited that my latest Sephora purchase had a Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush included in it. It came in the color "Joy", which is a dewy, muted peach. This isn't typical of a color that I would normally buy for myself, so I was truly stoked to find out what it looked like when it was on. At first when I swiped a little on my hand to see the color, I thought NO WAY! This is way, way too orange! But ... MoreI'm a blush addict. I'll admit it. Blush makes me happy. At first when I swiped a little on my hand to see the color, I thought NO WAY! This is way, way too orange! But when I actually tried it on my cheeks and blended it in, it was gorgeous! The formula is first off very hydrating, lightweight, and very easy to work with. I just used my fingers, and it blended very easily for me. You only need a very small amount to get a good amount of color coverage; one or two dots, that's it. It is very pigmented and a little bit definitely goes a long way! It lasted all day easily with no touch-ups needed. I love the doe-foot applicator too. It makes it very easy to apply the exact amount of product that you want to use. The rest of the packaging is great as well! I really like the way it comes in a lip-gloss-style tube, with a top that twists off and is easy to hold onto with your fingers because of the flat, circular shape. The color scheme is also great. The tube is frosted and clear, so you know exactly what color blush you're getting, and the top as well as the writing on the side are both gold. To be honest, I really wasn't expecting much from this product, but again with the Rare Beauty brand, I am very impressed! What it is, is a weightless, long-lasting liquid blush that blends and builds beautifully for a soft, healthy flush. Available in matte and dewy finishes. Free of sulfates SLS SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, and contains less than 1% synthetic fragrance. This product is also vegan and cruelty-free, which is very important to me. Create a pinch-perfect flush using this featherweight formula infused with long-lasting pigments that last all day. Available in matte or dewy finishes, this liquid blush blends beautifully to create soft, buildable color with a natural, second-skin finish. This product is an allure Best of Beauty Award Winner. In an independent consumer study of 32 subjects: 100% said it applies easily and wears evenly. 100% said the texture is silky and glides on smoothly. 100% said it stays in place up on application and is comfortable to wear, and 97% said the color blends seamlessly. This is an awesome product, and I haven't even mentioned the best part yet- it's actually affordable! It's only $20 for a decent sized tube of blush that's available in 11 different colors at Sephora, 7 radiant/dewy finish, 4 matte finish. It's definitely worth checking out, and I'm absolutely going to be buying it in other colors! (You can get a half-sized tube of the color "Joy" like I did in the Sephora "Makeup/Holiday Must-Haves" Set, along with 8 other full-sized and mini products for $54.)

If I’m going to be honest, I was actually scared to purchase this product. My complexion is already slightly rosy and blush-like, so I usually have a reddish pink tint on my cheeks. My friends are always complimenting me for it, but I wanted to have a more pink tinted blush look rather than a flushed out look. I’ve heard lots of good things about this blush, and I already use and love lots of other Rare Beauty products, so I decided to give this a try. I’ve seen lots of people say it’s very pigmented, so I was scared I would use too much and, mixed with natural complexion, I would look like a clown. It’s pretty similarly priced to other blush products on the market, has great quality and texture, and will definitely last a while. And of course, looks great on the skin! P.S., Happy is such a nice shade for darker skin tones! I will definitely be purchasing other shades soon!

I purchased a number of these blushes, and this is one of my favorites. Bliss is a very light peach shade that blends out to a very smooth sheer satiny matte kind of a look, and it looks really nice on my fair/light-neutral skin tone (I avoid orange/warm and ashy/grey tones and prefer cool/neutral shades on my skin.) The other shades that I purchased and liked on my skin tone are:- Grace (bright rose mauve, as described, it's on the bright pink side with cool/blue undertones); Hope (they call this nude mauve, but I would describe it more as a light dusty rose with a pink neutral undertone); and Encourage (they call this soft neutral pink - it is nothing of the sort, it's more like a light dusty brown with a neutral rose undertone. Not my favorite, but it works well ... MoreI purchased a number of these blushes, and this is one of my favorites. Not my favorite, but it works well as a neutral/rosebrown blush when paired with bright eye shadows, like blue.)I also tried these three shades, but gave them away to a friend who has a darker, warmer skin tone: Happy (described as cool pink, but I would describe this as a bright, medium coral with a warm pink undertone, it is VERY pigmented); Grateful (described as true red dewy, I would say it's a very bright cherry red with a warm undertone); and Believe (described as true mauve, but again, I don't think it's mauve at all, it's more like a medium/brown neutral with maybe a neutral mauve undertone. Basically like a darker shade of Encourage.)
Life is about than pigmentation, and while we all want good colour payoff, we also need workable products. This was a fail on three fronts. First, the colours are a bit wonky. What should be a cool pink on me - I'm extremely fair, so colours (unless they oxidize) stay pretty true to their claims - was not really a cool pink. It was more of a pinkish-coral, and I really, really look terrible in coral. So, the colours, or at least this colour, does not stay true once blended out. Second problem is the pigment. These are so hyperpigmented, even the smallest, and I mean smallest, dot of this stuff just keeps on giving until you look like you have no idea how to do makeup. I wouldn't complain so much if the formula was workable, but that's the third downfall. I wouldn't complain so much if the formula was workable, but that's the third downfall. It sets far too fast to work it into something that looks great, and once it dries - we're talking dries in seconds - if you keep working at it, you not only end up with patchy blush, you end up with patchy foundation because you can't move it without pulling up your foundation. I tried every possible way to apply it and the results are always the same - patchy clown car. I had such high hopes for this one, but I've honestly used plain old lipstick as cream blush that looked so much better than this. If I have anything nice to say about the product, I guess I'd say it definitely stays put. It doesn't look good, but it does seem to last. Returned it for it's three flaws.
I succumbed to temptation and over the last month tried the shades Hope, Bliss and Virtue and I am utterly converted. I reach for these 9 out of 10 times now and previous favourite blushes are inferior in comparison. To describe the product, it's pigmented but blendable, buildable, natural and long-lasting. It's versatile - you can mix liquid highlighter with it to create a featherlight, less pigmented blush - I highly recommend trying this as the results are sublime. In terms of shades, Bliss is foolproof and perfect for those who are intimated by how pigmented this product is. It's impossible to mess up. To be honest, I haven't had any issues with blending Hope or Virtue either. I simply apply one dot on my hand and then pick it up with a brush and I always look naturally flushed. On that note, this product looks amazing when applied by hands, a beauty blender or a liquid brush. I use the Rare Beauty blush brush and the results are heavenly.Lastly, there is something about this range that brings out so much happiness and joy. I haven't got this enthusiastic about makeup for a long time. This brand is really special. I enjoy the ritual of using this fun blush.
So pretty and pigmented!I got worth and got joy and happy after to compare. My favourite is worth because it’s a beautiful wearable colour. HOWEVER it is also really similar to many other blushes I already own. This made me debate keeping it because of that and perhaps opt for another shade but worth is a shade I would gravitate towards more. I kept it however because worth is limited edition and super pigmented (I use two dots each cheek after getting rid of excess product) so I know it’ll last. It’s more pigmented than the other similar shades I have. Getting it during the sale also makes it more worth it.If you don’t have a lot of blushes, invest in this and you won’t need too much after.I wish they would have a bigger range of blushes that could be like ... MoreSo pretty and pigmented!I got worth and got joy and happy after to compare. My favourite is worth because it’s a beautiful wearable colour. By this I mean that though worth is described as a true rose colour, it actually blends out a bit peachy.Joy, happy and worth mixed together is so beautiful. I wish there was a shade that had some sort of variation similar to that. As I’ve seen videos of people mixing all shades of the rare beauty range, the colour that turns out seems to be a perfect shade that I would want but I do not want to buy hundreds worth of blushes as this especially lasts long and don’t want it to be expired before I finished.
I luckily purchased both gift sets which included these blushes in a mini size so I could finally try them. I am not the biggest blush person so I liked how I could put such a small amount on and really sheer it out because this super over done blush look to me still gives me circus clown makeup vibes. This was able to be sheered out to a perfect natural flush, which is how I like my blush to look. So my issues with this blush though is HOW LARGE the standard size of this truly is. With how little of this product is needed to even do the current over blush trend basically all over your face, you can do just the smallest like 3 dots and you have that sunburnt look the Internet is obsessed with (that I hate but I am just pointing out how wasteful this size is). At that rate using up an entire full sized tube of this would take likely years even for someone wearing makeup every single day. But I like to think the average consumer of this is probably using it more in a subtle way so for us I can use a small dot go this and have left over product on my hand still. Thus it would take me like triple that amount of time to finish this whole tube. Liquid Makeup products have a shelf life of about 6 months to 1 year and while yeah we all are guilty of using our makeup way past the technical expiration date (especially with power formulas) I have found that liquid makeup of similar consistency to this such as a serum concelear at max can go 2 years before it visibly changes in consistency, texture and smell and clearly goes bad. This full sized blush is .25 oz / 7.5 mL, which is close to the industry standard for a full sized tube of concelear, which is used in far more areas on the skin or even as an all over foundation in a pinch. Why in the world is such a pigmented blushed that is designed as the brand says to be used in just two small dots per application the same size as a concelear (Rare Beauty's concelear is in this same .25 oz/ 7.5 mL size). It is so wasteful for all us consumers to never be able to even use up this whole tube of blush before it expires. I am a makeup lover so I have an obscene amount of different options and shade colors in all of my makeup categories but I still make the conscious effort to fully use up all of my products to recycle them in the Beautycycle programs. All of these expired only a quarter of the way/ partly used up Rare Beauty blushes are going to end up in landfills since most people are to lazy to clean out & recycle an almost full item that expires vs a basically used up and empty tube of product that will take a couple of minutes to rinse out the product to be recycled. Not to mention it is wasting your customers money to not fully be able to finish a product up that they spent their hard earned money on. I truly hope that these blushes and the highlighters you have in this packaging will one day be sold in the mini option from your holiday gift sets year round to fix this waste. As much as I do like the product I would never spend my money on something that is impossible to finish up all of or the majority of the product before it expires. PLEASE SELL ALL YOUR BLUSH AND HIGHLIGHT SHADES IN THE SMALLER MINI SIZED PACKAGING IN THE FUTURE!
