Raymarine Backbone Cable 400mm
Backbone Cable In a SeaTalk ng installation, a backbone cable runs through the length of the boat. Individual devices connect to the backbone by spur cables that run to T-pieces on the backbone. The backbone carries both data and power to attached devices. The backbone should be sized so that it will run past every location where an NG or NMEA 2000 device might be installed. Two backbone cable lengths can be joined together by part A06030, a backbone extender. Raymarine’s proprietary cable system for use in NMEA 2000 networks. The design provides two advantages. First, the connector collars are retained on the product which allows for a smaller cable diameter making installations easier. More importantly, the cable can include a sixth wire which allows for backward compatibility with SeaTalk 1 equipment. Products with SeaTalk ng connectors can be used on NMEA 2000 networks that use Devicenet cabling through simple connector adaptors and conversely equipment with Devicenet connectors can be used on NMEA 2000 networks that use SeaTalk ng cabling through simple connector adaptors.

Did what it is expected to do. connect Raymarine instrument to the backbone.
The cable that can with the Raymarine AP kit was so long. I only needed a very short cable. I was pleased that the Marina del Rey location actually had this cable in stock. Stocking the stores seems to be an afterthought ever since West Marine was acquired by a private equity firm that seems to be just bleeding the chain dry.
Was proper legth, fit as advertised!
Plug and play. NEMA 2000 to SeaTalk NG (Raymarine). Great to be able to pick up in stock from West Marine!
This backbone network cable works very well.
This is an intricate part of the network system with Raymarine but very expensive.
worked perfect, fit perfect
I plugged it in and it worked. not much else to say or expect.
