Generally, from all the Razer keyboards Ive had, theyve all been good with similar quality. Soundwise, the Black Widow had that OG, loud mechanical keyboard sound, the Ornata was definitely the quietest something I really liked personally, and the Huntsman is somewhere in between the two. The only reason Im giving this 4stars instead of 5 is because of the sound of the keys which is purely a personal preference objectively speaking, the Huntsman is a 5star keyboard. If the keys sounded more like the Ornatas Id personally give this 5stars. Again, this is a personal preference, objectively a 5star.Note Razer is VERY iffy with their quality control. Ive never had a bad keyboard from them, but maybe Ive just gotten lucky. However, Ive had quality differences with their headsets and mice ranging from simple exterior build problems i.e., peeling rubber linings to hardware problems i.e., scroll wheel perceiving a downwards scroll wheel as an upwards one and headsets no longer playing sound. This isnt a dealbreaker for me personally, because I can always return faulty products, but this is something consumers should be aware of before purchasing from Razer.

Its built solidly out of metal and the product feels well made and well designed.Keystroke on the linear took all of five minutes to get used to. I suspect the key spacing on the Huntsman is a mm tighter than the Black Widow but I didnt notice any issues with extended typing.The only two cons I cant mention are1 lack of a usb port this was standard on the Black Widow and I did like having it but the sheer amount of space saved doesnt make me miss it all that much2 The wrist pad feels softer than the black widow pads. The black widow pads have a tendency to disintegrate with time replaceable through razer directly so Im curious to see if this one performs better, the same, or worse than its forefather. Additionally, since the wrist pad itself is RGB enabled, I suspect its replacement will be costlier than the original Black Widow pads. Time will tell and Ill update this review accordingly.Regardless, I have no regrets over this purchase. Its sleek, insanely fast, very quiet, upgraded interface, and better overall RGB lighting than the Black Widows. It is most definitely an upgrade over the previous generation of keyboards and will be a mainstay of mine for years to come.

The clicking is a little loud but I dont mind it, I find the sound to be soothing. The keys are extremely fast and responsive, typing is flawless whether gaming or using for everyday internet browsing, school, or work. I havent noticed any input lag at all.There are feet on the keyboard bottom that allow you to adjust the height you have 2 height options to choose from with the feet.Its got a little wright to it, and there are rubber bumpers on the bottom to keep it from easily sliding around on your desk.The USB cables are thick and braided, which seems to add to the durability as well as making them look nice. There are 2 USB cables 1 for the keyboard and 1 for the wrist rest, so that means using 2 of your computers USB ports, unless you choose not to use the wrist rest, or to use the wrist rest without plugging it in.Theres no USB port on the keyboard itself, but thats not a dealbreaker for me, I have a USB hub that Id use instead anyway.The wrist rest is plush and comfortable, and it looks great with the Chroma lighting running around it. Its magnetic so connecting it and removing it is quick and easy.Its genuinely hard to find anything that I DONT like about this keyboard, but if I have to find something to pick on its that the keys are so easily smudged with oils from my fingers. Im a bit obsessive about fingerprints and smudges on my electronics so I find myself wiping the keys off with a sanitizing wipe once a day at least. I might be the only person that notices this kind of thing though Its not a huge deal and certainly doesnt change my opinion of how NICE this keyboard is. Its honestly a well thought out, extremely well made keyboard. Im tremendously proud to own it and to show it off to all of my friends.

I find this keyboard to be more then enough for my needs. Even after 2 weeks I am able to navigate fine when writing code without having the standard arrow key's.
I like to play FPS games on a lower sensitivity. I was running into my keyboard a lot when making quick turns... Even though it was a TKL Logitech keyboard. So I saw this 60% keyboard and decided to try it!It is VERY small which is perfect for what I was needing. You miss out on a lot of keys but they are still present! You just have to use the Fn button to get to them!The keys are very quiet. Which can be good or bad depending on if you like the clickity clackity or not.They are however accurate and have a short travel distance!I would definitely recommend this keyboard if you need more mouse pad space or have a small desk!
Outstanding keyboard for the $85 sale price I purchased it at. I likely would have purchased a different board instead if this was full price ($130).I'm also really happy that I purchased this 60% board instead of Corsairs, mostly because the arrow keys on the Corsair board are too far from the function key, and the switches on this board feel better.Pros:- The 60% form factor is great for both saving desk space and freeing up space for your mouse in shooters.- The PBT keycaps feel great.- The RGB is subtle and sufficient.- The Razer optical red switches are so far my favorite mechanical switches. (rtings claims that this keyboard has less than 4ms input latency)- The detachable USB-C cable is nice.- The placement of the secondary function keys is fairly good. After a few weeks of practice and learning, there's basically nothing that I'd need a bigger keyboard for. It's now second nature for me to use the function key to access the arrow keys.Cons:- The "feet" to raise the keyboard are borderline useless because of how badly the keyboard slides around the desk when they're down. It would have been better to just not include incline options with this keyboard than to provide feet that are that bad. The keyboard is otherwise stable when flat.- No on-board memory for saving profiles for use between computers.- The pre-programmed secondary functions cannot be reprogrammed, period. Not on the keyboard itself, and not in Razer's software.- No included wrist rest. I recommend budgeting for one when buying this board.- Razer Synapse software for the keyboard is not good. It chews through a good amount of CPU resources, and it updates sufficiently frequently to make using it truly obnoxious. I highly recommend never using the Synapse software to control fancy lighting effects. Your CPU will heat up more when the machine should otherwise be mostly idle, and it can lead to frame drops in games. I only boot Synapse up to change the sensitivity on my Razer mouse, then promptly shut it down.- And one really minor gripe... the keys *slightly* rattle a bit when pressed. Other than that they actually sound pretty good.
This is a fantastic little keyboard. Everybody is going for the minimal setup these days and you can't blame 'em because it looks so clean. The RGBs are really nice if you're into that. Fully customizable in the Razer Synapse app. I like to see what other people come up with in their lighting setups, which can easily be downloaded and imported to your own keyboard. I highly recommend choosing the linear switches if you don't like loud clicky clackies. The sound is so quiet and satisfying. I did end up returning mine only because I was missing having arrow keys and a numpad. I ended up getting the huntsman elite with linear switches. I will say the full size huntsman elite keys are noticeably louder, if you're trying to decide between the two. I'm honestly thinking ... MoreThis is a fantastic little keyboard. Best Buy should really take a look at Razer’s deceptive practises. Although Razer appears to have good warranty and stand behind their products, the fact of the matter is they will not honour the warranty on their products. The mini huntmans switches are not serviceable. So you are putting your faith that each and every tiny piece of plastic is going to hold up under the two year warranty. If one breaks, that key is in operable. Razer will then say they may or may not send you a replacement but no more warranty although you have a two year warranty on all those tiny plastic pieces. Look for a company that honours their warranty!

When you say lighted, most people are looking for a keyboard where the letters, numbers and symbols are back-lite so they themselves are illuminated so you can see them in a place with very little or no light, even in the dark. With this product, just the area around the keys is lit, not the keys themselves and that really is pretty useless. With this keyboard, you STILL need an external light source to see the face of the keys; the light that the keyboard emits is totally cosmetic. You certainly can't use this keyboard in the dark unless you are a professional who can type totally blind, and if that were the case, then you wouldn't need any ... The light is only from around the keys and in fact, that makes the letters, numbers and symbols on the face of the keys HARDER to see since the area around them is brighter than the face which only make the face of the keys seem DARK! What's needed is a total redesign; the keys need to be lit from behind so the letters, numbers and symbols LIGHT UP! THAT what most peopleexpect from something called a "lighted Keyboard!" The two stars are because, yes, it does work as an ordinary keyboard.
