After watching some reviews online about this product I decided to pick one up on the local Best buy here in Vancouver. My main purpose is to use it for Xbox cloud gaming since I started using my controller with the mobile attachment so I decided to upgrade my online to go gaming with a better attachment for my phone. Razer it's a good well-known brand, upon opening box the controller is well designed to fit pockets and bags easilly. But the issue is the way it’s built an it can be damage just by stretching it out now idk how that’s possible if it’s meant to fit all phones and you can fix the left side but the 2nd method doesn’t work for you BUT you need to open it up an repair it anything that’s loose in the wiring so that goes along with tools needed an how to repair it yourself for free.In my opinion I see this as a issue an I’m blaming the way it was built I’ve never been rough with it never dropped it nor even rage so hard tried to damage it I’ve had it for 3 months an at first when I started having problems responsive wise I thought it was the game I was playing when it came to lag or delay an stuff like that but no that was just a sign of hey your “controller gonna be 6ft under soon”It’s not strong enough nor have the durability if people who bought this had the exact same issue as I did some people say it lasted a week for them it lasted about 2-3months witch is my range etc etc etc.So I hope Razer comes out with something better an upgrade an take this a bit seriously cause for a controller that’s meant for your phone is pretty expensive an it shouldn’t go to waste or be felt it was a waste of time buying this knowing you can have the exact same issue as I did an others had.ThanksFor reading my review

Pros: Brilliant bit of kit. Slips securely onto my phone and plays like a Switch. Very responsive controls. Can play games like Dead Cells with no input lag. It also works great with Steam Link streaming games from my PC.Folds down to pocket size for easy transport.Cons: There are some android applications that don't recognise it (Apex Legends and CoD) as these only recognise Bluetooth controllers. I count this as an issue with the app and not the controller though. There is a workaround where if you connect a Bluetooth controller the Kishi then works but that requires you to have both controllers available and that is daft given the main advantage is the portability.

I bought the Kishi because I wanted something more compact than an Xbox controller for playing games on my phone. For casual content, like Minecraft, it’s nearly flawless. For anything that absolutely relies on the triggers to work flawlessly, it isn’t very suitable. The triggers seem to vary between hyper sensitive, and not sensitive enough. I can press them lightly at times and they activate fine. Whereas I have to depress them quite a lot other times and it’ll activate initially, but then again on the rebound to the neutral position. One example is when using bows in Minecraft, I hold the trigger hard to ready the arrow, let go a bit to relax my finger, and the arrow fires and re-readies itself. Joysticks are clean and have smooth travel.Have used it for a few weeks now and it works perfectly with my iphone 13 pro!! NOTE: Slight, modifications/cuts were made to the rubber inserts to expose the front facing speaker and another slight trim was made to accommodate the larger camera bump in the back. All on the left side. These were not needed just made fit that much better.NOTE: The LED battery indicator lights do not work on mine. Like an XBOX but on the move. Once you work out how it opens - 2 clips on the back - the rest is easy. Joins to an Android easy as. When connected my Game Pass popped up and it was basically ready to go. Nice feel like a good controller. Easy to use and understand. I just couldn't work out screen controls and this was the perfect solution. Being able to connect with your XBOX friends while travelling and the like is a bonus. A good set of Razer earbuds like the Hammerheads and you have the perfect arsenal for gaming. Low on charge? There is a port to charge your phone while using the Kishi.

I had many disconnects while using it that caused me to think mine was a lemon and almost returned it. So I removed them both from the controller and just I used my phone with an Apple brand suede case (thin case btw), inserted it on the lighting connector, clasp both sides of the Kishi on the phone and it connects better than the pads. Other phone models may work better, but for me, this was better. Secondly, with the controller, it’s awkwardly uneven in weight. Trying to hold just the right side will cause your phone to fall out and drop to the floor or on you. So FYI, if I wanna grab a drink while I’m playing, I just hold the phone, not the controller to keep hold of it and I’m good. Thirdly, it does have a charge pass through with a lightning jack so you can play and charge. Again, depending on your phone, battery life will diminish quickly. Another good thing, is the triggers, they’yre tight and responsive, quick releasing and feel like they spring back quickly. Used it on Crucible on D2 on stadia and I went super sweaty with a great game. The joysticks have zero to no drift, that I noticed, and zero latency. Very nice for shooters. Works excellent with Stadia, great with xCloud if the servers weren’t crap. Haven’t tried Luna. As a PC gamer, we all like the 1ms low latency, quick responsive equipment. This performs admirably. The buttons don’t feel squishy, the dpad feels sturdy, but rarely use myself unless I emote, but over all I’m pleased with this item. The home button, options or start buttons (whatever you prefer to call them) feel cheap. Hard airy plastic cheap. Nothing against it, they’re totally fine, just feel cheap to me. Overall a 4/5. Main reason being the grips inside the controller not fitting properly and the uneven no grip of the controller to the phone that if handled wrong could cause a phone to drop. Other than that I would definitely recommend to a cloud gamer or CoD/PubG gamer.Pros: great for cloud gaming, mobile gaming in general, easy to pack with you, charger friendly, light and responsive.Cons: not worth the price tag of 99.99$. I have a stadia controller, Amazon Luna controller and Xbox controller, all with their respected phone holders that total together (controller and clip) less than 70$ and work just as great. Plus the zero phone latching securing with uneven weight to hold either side of controller without causing phone to drop.Final verdict, if you have the cash and want to try it, you won’t be disappointed but not thrilled and have your jaw drop. If you want something else, search Amazon or Google for a controller clip for cheap and you won’t have missed anything.
This gaming platform is awesome! If you are looking to game on the go and access your xbox and playstation, this device is it! Can access xbox game cloud through your phone so you dont have to have your xbox on at home. Unfortunately playstation doesnt have their cloud base gaming up yet so you still need to have your playstation on at home to access your games. The joy sticks on the device are pretty decent and respond pretty well. Was hoping for the buttons to be a little more clicky since thats what razor is known for. The bumpers also respond fairly well. Very ergonomic so feels good in the hand and also very convenient to bring around with you! Hope the next product has some button upgrades

So every time you want to play you have to take your phone out of it's case.But that's not my big gripe. I got this in late June 2022 and by late December 2022 it was dead. The left side of the controls slowly starting going.The good news is that it has a 1-year warranty. The bad news is Good Luck navigating Razer's website and trying to send it in for repairs. I've been trying to do it for days and the site just sends you around in circles.Lastly, you can't plug headphones in but you can bluetooth to an external speaker for headphones if you'd like but that's ... Great product! Very eye catching design when unfolding and using. Very comfortable to use for long sessions and the charging port on the side is well thought out and very handy. Controls are better than using any Bluetooth controller, including Elite 2, no lag. Can reliably hop on Halo from work and play a couple match’s, might win, might not. Just fun to play Xbox anywhere, and on such a quality product. Only thing better would be a locking mechanism so the band stays right while on your phone. Also some speakers/speaker pass through that might even just make your phones speaker sound louder. Highly recommend.
