Sound bar and sub have surprisingly great sound. However the sub has since stopped working. Design is a more toned down version of the usual razer which I like a lot. No remote but I don’t need it.

Good quality for price / great design

Great sound bar, and is easily recommended for gamers who just aren’t ready to dive into a full 5.1 system yet. It’s a bit bass-heavy, thanks to the standalone subwoofer – but even so, movies and games come through clear. The bar is relatively versatile, too. It’s plenty powerful for a PC, but it works out of the box with any console or TV through optical audio out. Not to mention that built-in Bluetooth lets you connect your mobile device when you aren’t directly in front of your entertainment setup.

Great replacement for old 5.1 speaker system

Had to replace my 5.1 speakers (apparently as Microsoft no longer is supporting "old" speakers). This sound bar and subwoofer seemed to be a good choice. Build quality seems solid and sound has been great. System emulates surround, maybe not as well as my old 5.1 system, but good enough. Would recommend.

Great speakers
24 December 2020

These speakers are quite expensive but they are great, very loud with out distortion and muffled sounds when having the speakers on a high volume compared to other high price speakers, and even though the subwoofer is quite small it is no slouch, when you have it on medium to high you can feel the subwoofer. They are really loud for the size of them, a lot better than I had expected from a sound bar. The only issue I have is the optical audio cable it came with seems really really cheap considering your paid a heavy price for the speakers.

Great unit - but read the instructions and FAQs!

Awesome unit with a few intricacies. Out of the box, it will power off after an hour - arbitrarily. There is a patch that fixes this. Secondly, some people complain about it having "too much bass". You can adjust this by holding down the "Dolby" button and using the volume up-down controls. Luckily for me, the previous owner didn't know this and ditched it cheaply because he had these problems!

My Leviathan 5.1 died today (Rip)
11 August 2020

Brought this Razer product 3 year ago and its been a treat up until today when it failed to turn on. tried everything + google search's & Razer's support pages to no avail. I did however come across a few other's who have had the same problem as i experienced. So word of warning, it may or may not happen to you.. but be wary you might only get 2-3 years outta this thing before it just dies. I was leaning towards upgrading to the Razer Nommo Pro THX 2.1 Gaming Speakers before my soundbar died but now i'm not so sure in Razer's product lifespan anymore.

Powerful Speakers and Easy Set Up
20 June 2017

I would definitely recommend this to other people. I had this for about a month now and it still working extremely well. My motherboard also optimized it to all extreme settings. So it has been working on a high end setting no problem for a month. I waited a month to review due to other feedback I seen of it malfunctioning after a short time period. But if you want a wonderful soundbar, get this item. Just wish the Razer logo would have the green glow. Only draw back lol.

Having gone from the Logitech Z323 system, which I had been using it as a speaker system for my desktop, and laptop (via integrated Line In), this system took a bit of re-configuring to accomplish the same task. Audio from my desktop is going out via Optical; audio from my laptop, is going into my Motherboard via Line In, then out via the same Optical line; audio for my Razer Tiamat 7.2 are still going through standard analogue. All three systems are online and functional at the same time. Automatic shut off? Well, sure, if you don't use it for longer than 20 minutes, why have it on? That being said, it's not going to turn off randomly when playing a game, or watching a video. But if you take a trip to the store to get stocked up on your 'Dew and 'Ritos, it might turn off before you get back. Or, if you happened to have had some really disagreeable food, you might get stuck in the restroom for longer than 20 minutes. The system is very straight forward, but there are some things (such as turning down the bass), that aren't immediately available to read. This requires you to either search online for it, or go to the Razer Support page and download the extended user manual.

Really Great sounding but Minor issues
13 February 2015

First off the sound quality is really good. No its not the best but for the price and size of the speakers its pretty darn excellent. Simply plugs in and goes with easy controls on the top and input methods for almost every device and its easy to switch between inputs just one button. The best part of these speakers is the bass it is amazingly powerful for its size and the price tag just superb for music and games when you want to FEEL the bass. Now the one downside i found was that there are some minor compatibility issues. Nothing to do with the hardware i should point out just that while playing Dying Light the NPC's speech was very quiet while the rumble of the background bass was overpowering and with no adjusting the bass this is the one flaw. Where has this been hiding?! Great for PC

Not a con, but people should know that for Dolby you need to use the optical cable. Other wise its standard stereo(Which still sounds great) On this system we are already using the optical slot on the mobo for Astro A50, however the regular audio jack quality is still amazing and has not bothered us, if we watched movies with this system maybe a issue.. but for gaming who cares, but you should still be aware. Of note you can adjust the sub volume separate from the speaker, however this requires holding one button and using another, just read the manual, many are unaware of this. At first I was concerned this may be a bit expensive... but honestly, its I feel a solid value if it fits your use. At first I was concerned this may be a bit expensive... but honestly, its I feel a solid value if it fits your use. I have bought a few sound bars, and this is definitely better then the cheaper $100-150 ones I have installed in guest rooms. This is not a home theater system... so yes it does not sound like my $1k home theater and I wouldn't expect it to, but when at $200 it is cheaper then many of the headsets laying around my house, I feel its a fair price. In closing if desk space is a premium these should fit under your monitor nicely(measure if you need to first), and if I needed one and wanted to spend a bit, these would make for a pretty intense sound system for bedroom theater. So my only hesitant use would be as primary audio for a living room or console experience, this has to do with the lack of remote and auto off... things that really wont impact a PC or guest room experience.
