A 4 for lighting, a 1 for audio quality

And it does, largely. Setup on the Razer is simple enough. It's arguably a cleaner look than the pair of Logitech speakers he had sitting on his desk before, since the Leviathan is a single unit. No soundbar is especially beautiful, but at least the Sonos Arc under the TV has a more minimalistic, tasteful appearance. The Leviathan's sound quality, unfortunately, is lackluster at best. The soundstage is woefully narrow. There are entire frequency ranges missing. It's just generally unpleasant to listen to. There are much better options — for instance there's a Klipsch 2.1 set that's been around forever that is significantly cheaper than this... and which sounds 10x better. In the end, I think the Leviathan is really just for people who care more about LED lighting than sound. This was a case of Razer overreaching — there are some things they're good at it, but audio is wildly out of their wheelhouse.

Excellent build quality, but sound canned

Loud, mostly clean, enough bass. Biggest problem is the soundstage. I wanted to replace my Z625 setup with these to save space, but the Leviathan V2 X sounds very similar to mid-range bluetooth speaker - very canned and narrow sound stage. Build quality is excellent though, but I decided to keep my Z625 with optical input.

Excellent sound, software not so hot.

Excellent sound, once you've tuned it to your liking. The sound stage is a bit on the narrow side, so you're forced to stay directly in front of it to actually enjoy the simulated surround sound, but that is to be expected with such a small design. Very clear highs, tons of bass down low. The lack of input ports is a constant downvote on reviews, but I don't find that to be much of a bother as they are only for my computer. But if I wanted to connect anything else, BT is fine. The only downside to these speakers is the dang software. I had problems with the sound settings within Synapse constantly quit working at random. You'll be able to tell as any changes to the EQ or sound mode within Synapse will lag a second or so behind you changing a setting. I was having this issue even on a brand new install of the OS with no other drivers or software installed. Hoping a new software update will correct the issue because I do like the setup quite a lot. It is very compact, fits nicely under my stacked monitors, and really does sound quite good. Just Synapse being difficult, which is odd as I usually don't have issues with it. At least as far as the lighting controls go.

Failed after week of use
12 October 2022

I am fan of Razer products. However, Razer failed on the Leviathan V2 soundbar. The sound is thin no matter how you adjust the equalizer. The included subwoofer is nearly non-existent; the sound bar itself puts out nearly as much bass. You can tell a difference when you unplug the sub from the sound bar, but not much. Lastly, the soundbar failed after a week of use. Razer REFUSED to even consider any fault of the product. The device powers on with no issue, but it fails to be recognized by the Synapse 3 software that you HAVE to have to get the speaker to function. The speaker WAS working fine when I shut my computer down one night and the next morning it would not work or be recognized by my system. The speaker WAS working fine when I shut my computer down one night and the next morning it would not work or be recognized by my system. Literally nothing changed between shutdown and the morning power up. Razer Supports ONLY solution was to uninstall Synapse 3 and all of my audio driver and re-install them. To humor them I did and the problem was not resolved. I also tested it on a second PC in the house and the system or Synapse 3 did not recognize the speaker even existed. I also attempted to use the bluetooth feature to connect it to my phone just to see if there was any functionality in the speaker. My phone could not find the speaker. I am a huge fan of Razer products with 3 of their peripherals currently sitting on my desk with another 3 on my wife's. They failed with this speaker. I do NOT recommend buying this speaker, especially at the price point. For not much more you can by a smaller Bose or Sonos soundbar with much better reliability and the obvious sound improvement.

Great Computer Speaker
28 December 2022

I wasnt sure what to expect from a computer speaker. I even debated getting a similar soundbar like the Sonos Ray. I have no regrets. This soundbar sounds really good, even for the size. Bass has some good depth for how compact the subwoofer is and the range of sound is more than enough for playing games on PC. If you have any other Razer gear, this is a must to complete the setup.

Great sound but 1 major problem.
13 December 2022

Only issue I have with this product is that it shuts itself off whenever you close an application on the computer. if u have it in an easily accessible place then its very easy to turn it back on but be prepared to do it several times a session when your at your computer. From what i have read on online about the problem, it has been an ongoing software issue with this model and its previous model that razer has yet to address. Other then that, the audio from the bar is excellent and the rgb is easily controlled with razer synapse like all of razers other products.

Mighty sound bar
4 December 2022

Use this on my gaming setup. Also have a razer headset which I was very happy with so this was an easy decision. Looks great and sounds awesome. I can press a button on the sound bar and switch between the headset and sound bar and back which is a big plus. I heard some people complain that it only has USB connection but that's how my wireless headset connects (2.4ghz dongle) so what's the big deal.

I enjoy it thoroughly. I really skimp a lot on PC parts. Refurbs, buy stuff a few gens back, etc. I work from home and wanted some better audio. Figured if I'm stuck here all day might as well invest something into improving the environment. Fits nicely on my desk, setup super easy. Spotify can switch from it, to alexa, and back again. Only complaint is the Synapse app. it seems to be finicky with both this device and my keyboard.

Razer Leviathan V2: Worth the price
20 August 2022

These speakers pack big sound in a small package. IMO, they're fairly balanced (EQ can be tuned via Razers app which if fairly intuitive). They're great for listening to music and providing spatial sound for gaming; which is great for PC gaming to enhance immersion during gaming. In a room that is 20 ft X 30 ft, these speakers have no problem filling it up with sound.

Works great
14 January 2023

I only have 3 major complaints. 1. The cord is quite short, though I understand most people don't want it super far from their computer so this is more of a personal setup issue. Still, a cord within the 10ft length would be nicer. 2. You need an adaptor for it for older computers. Fine.. Not a major issue. Usually a 5-10$ fix. 3. A remote would be awesome, rather than needing to hit the power button on the decice. Again this also is setup specific, but if you have your speaker up high the remote control ability would be awesome. Performance itself so far is doing great! Only ISSUE so far is the occasional (once every few days) disconnect requiring a device restart.
