I wanted to take a risk of buying an item that is new for me to use. I did not want help from others to figure out what to buy. I am not sure I will be able to learn how to use this item since I am older but I am going to try. If I find I can not learn to use it and balance on it without falling to much I will return it and I need something that will hold up well through the learn and using phases. I think I found what will work. The return process will help if I can not learn to use this time well and I've look into this using your chat system ...that fits my needs very well.

I 52 years old and 225 pounds. I bought the A5 air to ride with my grand child. We ride up and down hills. She's 3 years old and I purchased her a kids razor. I bottom out the A5 air when I got it to test what the reviews were saying about it. And to test the build quality because of all the negative reviews. It's the smoothest ride I've ever had on a scooter and I ride in the grass and messed up roads. The build quality is awesome but there is a few things I would modify:1. For the height I would change the tire height to 10 or 15 to handle speed bumps.2. Length to 25 or 273. Width to 6 or 74. Make the T bar 2 inches taller5. Add a hand break6. Add a carrying strap7. Make the weight limit 300lbsI know you can find changes on a BMX style one but that ... MoreI 52 years old and 225 pounds. I bought the A5 air to ride with my grand child. We ride up and down hills. I have twin 7-year-old nieces, and they ride smaller Razor kick scooters when we go to the park near my house. Feeling sorta left out, I wanted to find a scooter that would be appropriate for a 'kid' who is 5'11" and 165 pounds. I was browsing at Toys R Us when I found the A5. The store did not have a demo model set up so I decided to purchase it and give it a try. Assembly was easy, though the tires do need to be aired up right out of the box (be sure to have a pump or compressor). The scooter is quite well-sized for my build and weight. It feels really solid, and with pneumatic tires the ride is very soft and smooth. No squeaks or rattles...it just glides silently along on the pavement as fast as you can kick it. I consider this silence to be a safety feature, as it allows the rider to better hear today's quieter cars when they are approaching. I love it! To my surprise, I had a couple of kids actually compliment it when I was riding it to the park for the first time. But I am afraid I made a mistake. I let my nieces try it out, and now they each want one! So I may just end up having to buy two more, but now at least I know they are worth my money. And they are worth yours, too!

This is my 1st Razor scooter and after doing extensive research and how it performs . I decided to purchase this Razor a5 air scooter. I purchased this for $65 and Im glad I did. It was this scooter or the a6 . I live this scooter and I even did a couple of mods to it . Putting in some Bones Super Reds bearings swapping out the rear air wheel to a Polyurethane 200mm rear wheel thats for an Oxelo scooter. It works great for the a5 air. Then I replaced the smaller handlebars for a custom 25 length handlebars with mountain bike grips, a bike bells and a handlebar extender with a couple of lights. The handlebars feel great and better balance with the combination of 200mm air wheel ( pneumatic wheel) for the front and rear 200mm polyurethane wheel for speed , balance ... Not many I havent seen do these scooter mods/customs on a kick scooter . only a couple people Ive seen on youtube. But I guess Im the only one to mod this scooter this cool and ride it with great joy. I love this scooter
Bought this scooter 4 weeks ago.The Bad News:It's quite a slow ride due to the rubber tyres so requires consistent effort maintain momentum, uphill it's downright exhausting. After 4 weeks the rear tyre punctured and Razor don't seem to offer a solid tyre alternative. No option but to buy more wheels. The scooter also rides extremely low to the ground so frequently catches on uneven ground and kerbs. at speed it'd be easy to have a nasty fall should the bottom plate or pathetic kick stand catch on something. The Good News:The tyres make it a very smooth and quiet ride. The anti rattle technology works a treat, no rattles at all. It's very sturdy and the frame is well builtTo sum up, it's nice but if you're only going to ride on concrete (like me) go for ... The ride won't be as smooth but it'll be faster, require less effort and the wheels won't pop
I bought this scooter to ride with my little girl and help her learn to ride hers and I couldn’t be more pleased with my choice of purchase. Perfect ride, perfect height, quiet, smooth ride and great strength! I don’t see where people were complaining that this ride lows and doesn’t go over cracks and uneven surfaces. I had no issues with mine. I quick kick up gets up over all terrains! Unless you expect to just glide over everything and not give any effort, I can see where people would complain. It’s a scooter not a vehicle! A and will be buying a 2nd one!
My son wanted a scooter, but we live in a rural area with a gravel driveway. One with pneumatic tires was the only option that would work for him in our situation. I chose this one because of its folding capability. It’s very compact and easy to transport to his school for bike day. The only issue is the knob to fold and unfold has to be loosened and pulled upward to change positions. The location of the knob can make this process a little difficult, but nothing that would hinder my opinion of the overall scooter. Great overall design and perfect for off-roading on a scooter.
Bought a year ago, had seen frequent use for about 2 college semesters, was bought to be used on the (too many) brick paths in my university.Pros: Inflateable tiresFolds *mostly* easilyCons: Platform WAY too lowBack valve cap clicks against the wheel holder and must be removedThe powder-paint on the fendor (brakes) wears away after only 6 months causing an ear-piercing squeaking whenever you brake. It cannot be correctly applied again unless you have special equipment. You CAN buy replacement parts, but I dont want to have to buy a whole new fendor every half a year.(Sorry to the customer service guy who might be reading this, you were still very helpful and I love u <3)
The clearance on this scooter is way too low! Beware if you live in an older neighborhood with uneven sidewalks. The scooter constantly bottoms out, scraping on the pavement and causing the rider to stop abruptly. My son has to literally jump off or fall. It's so bad that he cannot ride it.
This scooter was good... until one of the tires got deflated while I was riding it. I was very upset that this happened and I wouldve returned this product otherwise if solid rubber lux wheels didnt exist which I essentially placed on this scooter as a modification. Its speed isnt totally fast but it runs pretty smooth. However, the deck is flat which isnt good in my opinion because it got easily scratched when I was riding on it. Still, the scooter felt stable and is foldable which is great. Thankfully, I made it slightly better with larger wheels but it shows you that this product isnt the best. It is just average which is disappointing :/
