I love this flat iron. My previous iron was expensive and I was willing to spend the money again. But after reading several reviews for several brands, I decided this sounded just as good as the expensive ones. I have thin hair, but lots of it! When I blow dry, if I don't use a roll brush, will flip outwards in a couple spots. This iron works really great on those spots. I like it gets up to 450 degrees. That really helps, also. Supposedly, the heat sensor strip is supposed to help you not fry your hair. I haven't noticed a difference, but I also get my hair cut every 6 weeks. 2 things I would change. I wish the cord was longer. I'm almost 6 foot tall and the plug in my bathroom is low to the ground, so I have to sit in a chair to straighten my hair (I hate sitting ... MoreI love this flat iron. I am a person with wavy hair. With this straightener I can make them straight in few moments. It is heating up in seconds to the temperature you choose with bottoms on the side. After using it my hair are smooth straight and they’re stay like this for hours.

Best hair straightener I've ever owned, and I've tried a lot. I used to have a Chi and some other pricey straightener and this works way better for less money. I don't buy a hair straightener that doesn't have heat temperature controls or levels, as some do not get hot enough to do anything! This tool has four levels for heat options. This is the perfect width if you have long hair like I do. You don't have to run multiple passes over your hair which can damage your hair. I am planning on buying another Remmington if it ever fails on me, but I have had it for 6 years!

I love this straightener,i tried a few other before and none of them works this great! It has a safety button on the bottom and bottoms to set the temperature up and down also turn it off and on. The design is beautiful. Thanks to the keratin treatment my hair is beautiful and shiny,also very quick to straighten it and leaves the hair straight for day.

When I️ first got this straightener I️ though it was the best one I️ ever had. Then as a couple months went by I️ could see it going down hill as it would begin to not keep a constant heat. And eventually it started to shut off once it would get hot. And even shut of randomly. I️ would get another one because of the good experience I️ had while it was actually working and the price isn’t horrible. Over all I️ would rate it “ good while it lasted” type of deal. The lock feature for the heat is good because my fingers would always slide and change the heat. And the lock on the straighter itself was handy to keep it closed for storage. Not a bad straightener, it didn’t pull on single hairs and made straightening quick and painless. Not a bad product!

Excellent value for money. It heats up quickly and, unlike some other irons I know, this Remington really fills your hair with keratin. The result is better protection and longer results. Heats up quickly, easy to handle and modern design. Automatic shutdown function. If you are looking for the best hair straightener that is just perfect for your strands, but is overwhelmed by the variety of products available on the market today, then I recommend REMINGTON.4 stars only because a faint smell is reported for a few days.

In the last month I have purchased 4 very expensive flat irons and returned them because they all snagged my hair. I have long thick hair. When I went back to Ultra to return yet another flat iron I spoke with a sales person who suggested this one. I was a little ambivalent because of the cheaper price and it wasn't one of the higher priced, higher end products. I am one of those who "thinks" the more expensive, the better the product. Saved my hair from previous straightener iron

I used to own a GHD iron and it literally killed my thin hair even tho I was using heat protection.There were flat and without shine. I switched to this one and my hair are much healthier, voluminous and less thin.I use it once a week at lowest temperature and with heat protection.

They’re not the prettiest set of straighteners I’ve seen (the Remington Pearl was certainly more attractive) and to some extent I feel Remington may have missed a trick with these.

Stopped working after 3 months

For the first few months, I really enjoyed using this flat iron. After daily use for about two months, it stopped being very effective. I realized that it was shutting off and making a crackling sound as I ran it through my hair. It seems that there's some short in the swivel on the cord, and as I give my wrist a slight twist towards the end of my hair to bring a slight curl to the end, the iron would short out and shut off. To top it off, after it has shut itself down a couple times, it won't turn back on until the iron is completely cooled. (So yep, I definitely had to go to work with half-styled hair a few times.)
