Purchased as a backup replacement for the identical machine model I have been using for over 5 years. Prior to that, I used a ResMed S9 (another very good machine). When I learned that the new AirSense 10 featured improved software over the S9, the choice was an easy one. The AirSense 10 Autoset provides a helpful review of last night's (or last week's or last month's) collected sleep data right on its LED screen each morning. In addition, the machine's SD card can be easily removed and inserted into a PC whenever I am interested in viewing additional sleep data via free software that's available online. The machine is quiet, and the slimline tubing avoids any bulkiness between the machine and my pillow. The heated water chamber for controlling humidity works well too.

I was initially excited about this machine, but its shortcomings quickly became apparent. This is one of those products that works so poorly you wonder if anybody actually tested it before they started selling it.I started off using the same settings—6.0 min. pressure, max. exhalation relief—that I have used for 10+ years on two DeVilbiss CPAPs. Many sleepless nights later I learned that this machine malfunctions with those settings. It would time out after exhalation. Had to raise the minimum pressure to 7.0 for the machine to actually function. The humidifier doesn’t produce enough heat, even at maximum heat, so I frequently wake up with a dry throat. The reservoir is tricky to fill, and doesn’t hold enough water. At higher settings, it runs dry if you sleep ... MoreI was initially excited about this machine, but its shortcomings quickly became apparent. Can't say enough about the fantastic customer service I received from those that I had contact with during the purchase of this ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet machine. I called on a Monday morning and spoke with Daryl regarding a problem that I was having on a previously purchased CPAP machine from CPAP.com. During our lengthy discussion, (about 45 minutes) Daryl was able to help me with the problems I was having with my old CPAP machine. During this time, Daryl let me know that my current machine was nearing 8 years old, well past it's prime. So he suggested and described this machine and answered all my questions I had regarding it's usage and functions. So I decided to purchase this machine and extra filters since my current machine might give me unexpected problems ... MoreCan't say enough about the fantastic customer service I received from those that I had contact with during the purchase of this ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet machine. Basic set up was easy. But I noticed that some things Daryl and I discussed and some things I saw in the CPAP.com video about this machine were not visible on the display screen. So a quick Saturday afternoon phone call to CPAP.com was all it took to rectify the problem. The representative that I spoke with walked me through the extra set up needed so I would have all the options that Daryl and I discussed. The machine worked flawlessly the first night I used it. In the morning, I removed the pre-loaded SD card and entered it into my laptop using the "OSCAR" app. The info provided from the previous nights use was detailed and should be all I need to present to the doctor who conducts my DOT physical. This type of customer service is why I continue to get my CPAP machines and supplies from CPAP.com. And this is why you should as well!

I didn't realize that, when you send your prescription in for the CPAP machine, CPAP.com actually sets it all up for you with all your settings. It saves you the hassle of taking the machine in to have it set up. This CPAP machine comes ready to start the minute you get it. Very simple instructions for people new to CPAP machines. The machine is super quiet compared to my old one and is much more operator friendly to use. I have only been using it a week, but am very pleased with this machine and especially the price. It is worth every penny!! I paid for this as a second machine (because of the price) but really this is everything you could want in a CPAP machine. This was definitely affordable and would be GREAT for someone that doesn't have insurance or even if ... MoreI didn't realize that, when you send your prescription in for the CPAP machine, CPAP.com actually sets it all up for you with all your settings. This was definitely affordable and would be GREAT for someone that doesn't have insurance or even if you do have insurance and want a second machine for backup. I love the small size of this machine and it will be easy to pack up and take anywhere for traveling. At first I was reluctant to change over to a smaller size tubing, but I like it way better than I expected I would. ResMed CPAP machines were highly recommended to me because of their durability.
The card-to-cloud machine is best for me because I'm not interested in springing for technology just to permit automatic data-transmission to a doctor that doesn't want it anyway. I use an app that reads the SD-card with my card-reader, and records my cpap therapy, presenting daily graphs of all the data (the same stuff the experts review.) With a little homework, I educate myself on what's going on. It's not rocket-science. I can then tweak the settings to optimize my therapy... and it's working great! I have only changed one setting since the doctor made the initial settings on my first machine (a resmed S7, followed by an S9) 20 years ago. A lot of cpap patients keep tabs on their own therapy this way.Furthermore, The AutoSet 10 is LESS noisy than the 11 (which ... MoreThe card-to-cloud machine is best for me because I'm not interested in springing for technology just to permit automatic data-transmission to a doctor that doesn't want it anyway. A lot of cpap patients keep tabs on their own therapy this way.Furthermore, The AutoSet 10 is LESS noisy than the 11 (which isn't very noisy either), which is why I selected the 10 over the 11. I don't use the humidifier function. Instead, I use a Vornado Evap40 room humidifier that only needs water every three days or so, therefore I don't have to mess with filling the cpap machine every night, and I wake up without dried out breathing passages. In fact, nothing in the whole room gets dried out either. I recommend this humidifier arrangement to all cpap users.
My older AirSense was purchased about 6 years ago: I got a message on the machine stating the motor life expectancy was expired. For the price I paid for that machine, I got my moneys worth. I have only used this machine for 4 nights now. The first night was a little rough as it was set on the AutoMode; I didn't get good sleep. The second night, I switched it to CPAP mode and set my cmH2O to my appropriate settings and have slept great since. I do think it is quieter then the old model. I don't need WiFi "tracking" of my usage, so, this model without that suits me just fine. If you are paying cash or using FlexSpend dollars for this, I would say it is worth it!
Multiple problems with this machine. The machine does not have an auto-stop feature. This is a big issue as the machine tends to turn itself on during the day. As a result, it runs with a dry humidifier chamber and starts to heat up the surface of the night stand. The ramp up feature is not consistent. Some nights it will ramps up in the manner that my doctor has set; then some nights it starts to blasting the air to where my mask cannot seal to my face. Also, the Card-to-Cloud stopped working. My doctor can no longer retrieve the stats from the machine and recommends that replace it. I spent too much money on this unit to throw it in the trash. What does this mean?I regret purchasing this machine.
I am hoping that running this machine for a number of nights will solve this problem, but on its second night it began blasting a chemical/mechanical smell at me. I tried stopping and re-starting it. On the ramp up, it was fine, but the smell reappeared when it was at full pressure. I am going to try to find a way to run it without being hooked up to it so it can blast its fumes outside. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid back it goes.If I solve the problem, I do like how quiet it is.I'm also still searching for the right humidifier setting. Even at 5, I was waking up with a dry mouth and nose. Tonight I'm going to try a 7.
I bought this after my Remstar that I purchased in 2011 started having problems. Machine still worked but the seal on the humidifier gave up and it whistled like a train. Very happy with this. Quiet does not quite describe it. Wife is amazed that she is not able to hear anything. The description does not mention that it comes with a hose, so I ended up buying one just in case. And the price, pay attention. Got it for 399, 2 days later listed at 499, today back to 399. Regular price of over 1K? Come on. Biggest gripe with CPAP.com is their pricing. Used to buy DME equipment so I know there is a big difference between selling price and cost. I have nothing against a company making money, that is what there are there to do for the service they offer, but quit acting ... MoreI bought this after my Remstar that I purchased in 2011 started having problems.
